Oh, did it come across that way?  Actually, he's just doing the gift-giving interaction, but I did closer shots to show the facial expressions so they'd look conspiratorial.
I'll give the glimpses of what happens to the non-heir kids just as I did with the first generation.  Arienne's time was more focused on her as that seemed to be more of her personality to not care what happened to the siblings.

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--When It's Time to Travel
« Reply #274 on: April 06, 2014, 01:27:21 PM »

All good things must come to an end, and thus, the teenage years for the twins had reached it's climax.

Pippin:  Well, Medb may not have won the voting, but she is definitely a wonder woman.

Pippin:  And our newly elected heir was going to age up as well.

Mal:  Cod-man!  I'm about to become a young adult, so I'm coming to your house.
Cody:  Wouldn't you rather...
Mal:  Okay, thanks!

Mal:  Look how grown up I am, Cody's family!  It must be time for a fashion show!

Mal:  So, Cody, can I spend the night here?  In your bed?
Cody:  Oh, umm...
Mal:  Okay, thanks!

And later, after Cody's son Scottie had aged up...

Cody:  So, you and Scottie are both young adults, and he'd make a fine husband...

Mal:  Oh, mom showed me how this works.  There's the one you marry, then there's the other one.
Cody:  Wait...what...?
And later that night...in her sleepwear...for no apparent reason...

Mal:  Hey, I want to move into your house because your dad's awesome.  Wanna marry me?
Scottie:  I...wait...what...?
Cody:  Just say yes!  There's no chance you'll ever do better than Mal.
Scottie:  Umm...yes?

Scottie:  So, now that we're married, what would you like to do next?
Mal:  I'm going to travel!
Scottie:  Oh, and I suppose you shouldn't travel alone, so this could be like our honeym...
Mal:  No worries, I'm taking Cod-meister!
Scottie:  ...oh...
And thus, Mal and a very confused Cody left for France.

Mal:  So, I married your son back in Dragon Valley.
Cody:  Yes, I know.  I was there.
Mal:  We're in France now.

Cody:  Umm, that doesn't make you not married...
Mal:  I'm pretty sure marriages don't count in other countries!  What silliness.
Cody:  But I...you're my...and I'm...

But Mal is not to be denied.  She may not have been the sheer force of evil Arienne had hoped she'd become, but her sheer force of will is on par with a class four hurricane.

The next few days held adventuring...

and some interesting usage of leisure time...

some of which grabbed the attention of the French paparazzi...

and some of which involved displays in stores...

and when all the adventures were over, Mal and Cody had both reached Level One on their Visas...and she is almost assuredly bringing home a very special souvenir...

Wow, Mal is a whole new level of awkward, and very much like Chysm. Hmm, well I'm interested in seeing where this goes. :)

You know, I wasn't expecting Mal to necessarily go the romantic route of her mother and grandmother, but I suppose it does fit in a way. Besides, I have to admit that Cody's genes are more interesting than Scottie's so whatever.  :)

Store displays, my goodness!  :o I bet they sure shocked the locals. I have to agree about Cody's genes, though. They should make a very pretty nooboo.

Well, well, well, so much for being different from her predecessor. Marrying an elder, awkward social skill, ring a bell?

I see Mal as far more assertive than Chysm ever was, but there are definitely similarities.

You know, I wasn't expecting Mal to necessarily go the romantic route of her mother and grandmother, but I suppose it does fit in a way. Besides, I have to admit that Cody's genes are more interesting than Scottie's so whatever.  :)
Well, Mal only knows what she's seen, so she's following a blueprint she's seen before.
Agreed, Cody's genes are so much better!

Store displays, my goodness!  :o I bet they sure shocked the locals. I have to agree about Cody's genes, though. They should make a very pretty nooboo.
I thought the store display part would be rather hilariously uncouth in a Mal sort of way  :=)

Well, well, well, so much for being different from her predecessor. Marrying an elder, awkward social skill, ring a bell?
She didn't marry Cody, she married his son.  And her awkwardness is all sorts of assertive.  There are similarities in some of the details, but the character is definitely different.  Besides, it's only been one update.  Give poor Mal a chance  ;=)

So, readers, the file has a glitch.  I tried to bring up this file the other day and Mal was still listed in the household but would show up in the game or on the household panel.  I tried exiting and reloading and it did the same thing.  I then tried moving her into a new household and inviting her to join the household again.  That wouldn't work either as she was never at the other house and wouldn't come over to visit.  The only solution I was able to find was to move the family to a new town.  This brought her back.  Therefore, the next update will have them randomly moving out of town.  "Time to travel" indeed!  Also, I'm hoping Mal's budding pregnancy stays in place after the move.  Fingers crossed!

Oh dear! I'm so sorry about the glitch! I hate those glitches, at least it should work out, and hopefully we'll see a little Mal coming soon too! Best of luck with the glitch, and I totally understand moving - I mean, it's why I switch towns just about every generation in my legacy. I can't wait to see how Mal handles married life... and the other guy. ;)

Yeah, my biggest issue with the move is that it means leaving the rest of the family behind.  I was hoping to have Mal still palling around with Medb and to keep up with Arienne and Chysm.  Ah well.  I've already started making the contingency plans to deal with the lack of a twin  ;=)

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Twins!
« Reply #282 on: April 12, 2014, 07:55:54 PM »
On the day when the family was celebrating the anniversary of Rhiannon's birth, Mal had an announcement.

Mal:  Okay, people, pack up your stuff and let's move to Moonlight Falls!
Scottie:  But, why?
Mal:  Because your stuff will be hard to move if you don't pack it, silly!
And thus they arrived in a new and foreign place.  Cody and Rhiannon's youngest children got right to work at making new friends.

Humberto:  Hi there.  I was wondering if you could explain to me what a personal space bubble is.
Felicity:  You're weird.  I like that.

Bianca:  So, you must be honored to be meeting the most beautiful woman in all of Moonlight Falls.
Barbara:  Correction, Mal and I live here now, so you're in a distant third.
And Mal was enjoying new friends as well.

Mal:  Egg!  Or pineapple.  Probably egg.  Maybe the world's biggest artichoke.

Mal:  Oooo, a green dragon!  Must have been a pineapple after all.  I think I'll call you...Spot!
Spot:  Umm, I'm purple.  And I'm certainly not spotted.
Mal:  Yes you are, I spotted you as soon as the pineapple opened.
And the family set up their household.

Barbara:  I get the cool princess bed...and Humberto gets a tent in the back yard.  That seems fair.

Scottie:  So...you got us bunkbeds, huh?
Mal:  Aren't they awesome!?!?
Scottie:  Well, I thought we'd get a double bed so we could...

Mal:  Dibs on the top bunk!!
So, Mal had her bunkbeds again, but she didn't have her twin.
Mal:  Barbara!  You'll be my new twin!
Barbara:  Umm, I'm not sure that's how it works...

Mal:  Boom!  How's that work, twin?
Barbara:  Oh no you didn't!
And with the twin (or replacement twin) in place, Mal could move on to other things.  Things like this...

Mal:  Hey, I changed clothes!
Scottie:  Umm, I'm not sure how we're having a baby since we haven't...
Mal:  Did you get me a present to celebrate?!?!?

Scottie:  Oh.  Umm.  I found this while I was exploring the catacombs...
Mal:  Cool!

Mal:  A genie!  I know what you do with one of these!

Pippin:  So, I notice you're watching the kids station.
Mal:  Oh, hi weird voice in the sky!  Why does this channel matter?
Pippin:  You'll see.  In fact, I think you'll find out really soon.

Mal:  My body feels really weird!
Scottie:  The baby's coming!  Which is weird!  'Cause I still don't see how we're having a baby since we haven't...

Cody:  Well, if you're going to freak out, I guess I'll go ahead and take your wife to the hospital so she can give birth to my grand child.
Mal:  Yep.  Your grand child.

Actually, make that grand children.

As we draw to a close, we introduce Tessa and Jessamine.

I love Scottie's face in the picture where Mal learns she's pregnant. He is not happy. Welcome, Jessa and Tessa!

First thing first, who is this Rhiannon, Felicity, and Humberto?

And lastly, Scottie, is it okay for you to have a wife that's not only flirt with your dad, but also mess up your family tree? (dunno what the kid and Scottie relationship would be)
I'd say go have affair on your own! In front of your wife if possible.  ;)
Let's see how that's gonna turn out... (very evil grins)
