Thanks, Pam!  Definitely missed that one!
Me too! I just realized it after seeing update in this legacy.

By the way, what's actually happened with the gallery?

Carl is phasing out use of the Gallery, but keeping the images currently there on his server. The official announcement explains it better. :)

And I'm only going to speculate that Cara is alive when a shot reveals a shower right next to the fireplace. :P Doesn't matter. Team Arienne!

Pippin:  It seems that Todd was not pleased with Darla's newfound relationship with Devin.

Pippin: And Devin, being a gentleman, stepped to her defense.

Devin:  Your mother was a chupacabra!
Todd:  Your talk bubble looks more like what would happen if a grasshopper and a lizard had a baby.
Devin:  Stop looking at my talk bubble!
Pippin:  Seems like things are going as you planned, Arienne.

Arienne:  Shhh, I'm focusing on my painting.  I'm painting one of the most brilliant Sims ever.
Pippin:  Isn't that you?
Arienne:  Yes!

Pippin:  Well, the girls of that evil genius were enjoying Spooky Day...by being cute little bunnies...

Medb:  So, Uncle Tipton was lame and left without giving us candy.
Mal:  Well, mom was saying we should pull some pranks.  Maybe we should do that to him?
Medb:  Yes!  Let's rake all his leaves while he's gone, then when he goes to rake them, they'll already be done.
Mal:  Brilliant!
Pippin:  And the prank was so successful there that they tried it again at home.

Pippin:  Arienne wasn't at home to be disappointed in how poorly her daughters play pranks.

Arienne:  So, Todd, it looks like we're both single now.
Todd:  Indeed we are.
Arienne:  I imagine we'll get over that.
Pippin:  Speaking of new couples, Devin and Darla got confirmation that they have a baby coming!

Devin:  I'm so happy!
Darla:  Why do you have highlights and a beard now?
Devin:  Fatherhood changes a person.
Pippin:  Ooo, nice cover for those mid-life crisis wishes!  And on the subject of life changes...

Medb:  Hey look!  We're older!!

Mal:  And even more fashionable, if that's possible.
Medb:  How should we celebrate?
Mal:  Let's tear up this town!

Mal:  This is fun.

Medb: So much fun.
Pippin:  And then they hit the Melancholy Mocha.

Mal:  More fun.

Medb:  So much more fun.
Pippin:  And the remnants from the pranks needed to be dealt with.

Pippin:  Yep, no other reason this picture was included.  Nope.  None at all.

Why does that last caption worry me? Anyway, I think the twins made adorable bunnies.

That last picture... Isn't the location at their home? The one place they rake leaves and play before they grown up?
I have a feeling the burning have something to do with Todd.

Congrats on being teen, twins. Though I'm kinda confused how come they looked alike (though maybe I am wrong since Mal's face was closed half way) while I was so sure they would have different facial structure once they grown up, judging from their face and kid state...

Man, those girls really do look just like their mother. I wonder how much they'll take after her--or will they pave their own way?

Must admit, loved the bunny costumes as well.  I tried about four other costumes before I settled on that look for them.

That shot is at their home.
They are shockingly similar looking, which is less common for Sims twins than real-life twins.  I think Medb's nose is a touch larger, though it may just appear that way since Mal's hair is...bigger, for lack of a better word.

Well, Mal is good trait-wise, so she'll have a problem following quite in mom's footsteps.  Medb doesn't seem to have an evil inclination as yet.  Both have the hydrophobic and equestrian traits (which is odd since they're both being done at random) and Mal has good and no sense of humor while Medb has virtuoso and disciplined.  Appstore, I mean, Apollo has artistic, never nude, and light sleeper.

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Another Age-up and Prom

As morning dawns upon the Schlick-Wainwright households, the twin daughters of that evil genius and aspiring immortal empress of evil, Arienne, arise to do who knows what sorts of evil mischief.

Medb:  I'm going to double-check our homework and make sure that we've answered each question thoroughly.
Mal:  Okay, I'll just be alphabetizing our sock drawers.
Pippin:  Yep, they are sheer evil incarnate.
Arienne:  I'm not sure what went wrong with those two.
Pippin:  If you wanted them to follow in your footsteps, maybe you should have actually interacted with them?
Arienne:  I don't know, that seems kind of far-fetched.
Pippin:  Anyway, the twins and Queen Ari's young man-servant went off to school.  You know, he looks a bit different these days.

Arienne:  Oh, I require him to eat five bowls of brain freeze a la mode for each meal.  I want to have a zombie slave.
Pippin:  Well, hopefully you don't also intend for him to be an athletic zombie-slave.

Arienne:  Yes, I suppose he has put on a few pounds.  Maybe he'll get teased for it at school.  That would be wonderful!
Pippin:  I don't think the wonder twins would let anyone bully their pseudo-brother.

Arienne:  I believe you mean pseudo-bother.
Pippin:  Speaking of brothers, did you know Tipton is engaged again?

Arienne:  Eh, who cares?  I'm more concerned about the hideous deformity in my kitchen.

Pippin:  Oh look, Apollo has aged up!

Arienne:  Good, I have plans that require an older accomplice.
Pippin:  What plans?
Arienne:  Don't you need to go update the readers about how prom went for the kids?
Pippin:  What?  I mean, yes.

Pippin:  So, here is the obligatory shot of kids in a limo, since no pictures are rendered of the kids at the dance.  Here are the highlights:  Medb won prom queen and thanked everyone and then went on about how she wants world peace.
Arienne:  I'm so disappointed.
Pippin:  Apollo was named prom king, then fell on his face while dancing followed by getting shot down when he asked a girl to dance, then he fell on his face again.  Mal was distracted by the presence of lights which she believed belonged to alien ships.
Arienne:  Does that one have the insane trait?
Pippin:  No, and I don't think ditzy or naïve are actual Sim traits, though if they were, I think she'd have them.
Arienne:  Well, at least she and her sister have such good looks.

Pippin:  Indeed, and at least Apollo has fishing to keep him occupied.

Arienne:  And he's really good at it too!
Pippin:  Sarcasm?
Arienne:  A bit.

Ok, I saw Cara proposing to Tipton. Arienne will wish she paid more attention to that.

Apollo is sort of endearing, though I like Mebd the most at the moment. I love how the girls have a real attention to detail. :)
I'm really loving where this story is going. On one hand, I feel bad for the hand Apollo has been given, but on the other, I wouldn't ever want him to receive heirship as I dislike how Cara decided to bring him into the world (just to spite Arienne, and I don't want her plan to work as it seems so childish). Anyways, I digress. You get me so worked up over your writing it's ridiculous, so that must mean you're doing something very right. ;D

I can't wait to see this evil plan Ari has for our Apollo, let her reign end in a bang!

Are you sure that was Cara?  Okay, it was.  She was also in the leaf fire picture if you look in the smoke off to the left of the pile.
I'm glad you're enjoying the story.  I adore the twins!  I'm hoping Apollo does end up going zombie during full moons.  I've heard that eating too much brain freeze a la mode will make that happen, but this is my first actual test of it.  Realistically, it won't be too long before we're in voting mode for the next heir, so it's nice that you've already made up your mind.  Of course, there's still more of the story to play out...

Oh? So she is alive... (blank face) Alright so you ARE a nicer watcher than me (grins) I usually would forgot to save the sims on fire.
I guess you decided to save her because Arienne or someone else is terribly tired and they can't sleep when there is fire around while their work time is close already.
Anyway, does this mean Cara is becoming the occasional for fun burning target?

Alright, so, Pippin nice, Arienne not. We'll see how this legacy would turn out to be.

BTW did all the three teens had anyone as a date or go home with any date? at all?

No dates for any of the kids and none of them hooked up with anyone at prom either.  I don't think I've ever had a trio of teens all "strike out" like that.  Ah well.  Whoever wins will have plenty of chance to find their perfect match...and the other two get story progression, so that will probably yield some sort of relationships.

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Spotlight on Mal
« Reply #239 on: March 25, 2014, 02:25:18 PM »

Pippin:  Arienne has been doing well in her efforts.  As evidence of that,

Pippin:  this happened.  She also did this...

Todd:  ...until death do us part.
Arienne:  I can arrange that.
Todd:  Wait...what?
Arienne:  I didn't say anything, why?
Pippin:  Well, I guess we should all start saying our goodbyes to poor Todd.  Anyway, as Arienne has nearly reached her goals, it is almost time to choose the next heir.  However, in order to help you, the readers, get to know them more, each of the next three updates will focus in on one of the kids and follow them through a few moments of their days.  At the end of the third update, the randomly determined LTW's will be announced.

As she is the elder twin, we begin with a day in the life of Mal.

Mal:  Oh no!!  I can't believe you're wearing black after Labor Day!!  Oh wait, that's white.  Nevermind.  Carry on.

Mal:  I feel inspired by that last encounter.  I think I'll write a song about it.  What's a nice, original title...?  I've got it!  "Man in Black!!"  Now, mom says I need to meet more boys my age, so I think I'll go work on that.

Cody:  Hello, young lady.  Aren't you one of those Schlick-Wainwright girls?
Mal:  Yep!  I'm Mal.  Can I come in?
Cody:  You must be here to see my son, Scottie.
Mal:  Sure, whatever.  I like warm hugs!!

Cody:  Oh...umm...okay.
Mal:  You're my best friend, Cody!  Mom will be so glad I've met a boy my own age!
Cody:  You know I'll be having my elder birthday tomorrow, right?
Mal:  Oh, well, my birthday's in three days, so we have a two day age difference.  I did the math all by myself!!  Well, Cod-meister, time for me to head home and do what wild and crazy teens do...

Mal:  clean!!!
Arienne:  Mal, I've arranged a date for you since you seem to have trouble with...well, everything.
Mal:  Oh, okay then.

Percy:  Well, hello.  Your mother mentioned you were her equal in beauty, which is the only reason I thought you might be worth my time.
Mal:  You look like Nightcrawler from the X-Men!!
Percy:  I'm sorry?
Mal:  Oh, don't be sorry.  It's a good thing!

Percy:  So...anyway, I thought I'd give you a chance and see if you're my cup of tea.
Mal:  That's not tea in your talk bubble, that's soup!  I like soup!  It's warm.  I like warm hugs too!!  I'm going to go visit my BFF Cody now.  Later, Nightcrawler!
Percy:  My name's PERCY!!

Mal:  Hey, Cod-man!!  I was on a date, but it was boring, so I came to hang out with you instead.
Cody:  That's sweet.  So, you know my teenage son Scottie is right behind you, right?
Mal:  Yep.  So, can I paint a portrait of you, bestie?

And thus, we'll walk away and leave Mal and her confused naivety.  Next time, we'll check in on Medb.
