I find Cara and Arienne very amusing to read! I wonder how Apollo will affect this generation... what have you got planned there Pip? Because I have no idea where this is going to go. Obviously I feel a tad bad for Apollo, as he was born entirely out of revenge rather than love, and now he's stuck being punished for his mother's deeds.
Honestly, if I was Arienne, I would use that. He's a moldable child - impressionable. According to Machiavelli, love is a stronger base than fear is in a relationship (especially those of rulers). She could raise him as her own, love him and he would love her, his devotion to her would be unquestionable because he loves her. That would be a very evil thing to do to Cara.
Turning Cara's son against her wouldn't even be that hard, especially if Arienne was there during his toddler years/childhood.
Either way, I'm just curious as to what Arienne is even doing, or what she will do when she finds out it was her brother who let her enemy have a child.
Anyways, maybe you could make a suggestion to Arienne, not that she needs help being evil... She could certainly use some more devoted subjects. ;)
Well, you never know what Arienne might be up to, so maybe you're right  ;=)  Greatly appreciated that you threw Machiavelli in there.
I can't really plan for the next generation since I leave it up to votes.  That keeps things interesting for me.

Yes, go Cara! I am now rooting for Cara and Apollo all the way!!  ;D
Well, I didn't expect a Team Cara to creep in, but here you are!  As stated, I like Cara, but I also absolutely adore my Arienne.  I'm anxious to see how the kids develop.

First thing first, what are Apollo's trait?

And regarding to Livvie's comment about lack of help for Arienne, I think taking away Cara's child and train him as Ari's underling will be definitely satisfying payback for her insolence.
About Tipton, I think Ari might have burned him once or twice to teach him a lesson or maybe curse him a bit, using the dragons of course.

I don't know what to do. I haven't the faintest clue of which way to lean!  :P On one hand, we have the wonderful schemeing of Cara's, whose feeble attempts at plots have produced a child. That facinates me on how he will see his mother's slow decent into obsession for revenge  ideas on her employer and the twins. Plus, its Sims like Cara who throw in loopholes and drama that I (guiltly) drink up like Vlad drinks up plasma juice! On the other hand, we have the beginnings of a delightful family feud of good vs. evil. The possibilities are ENDLESS for what a wordsmith such as yourself could use to weave the goody - goody's fate. I cannot wait until Mali is old enough to talk and scheme express herself. Also, it appears that there is a gene that skips a generation, Vlad giving St. Ari the Evilness we all love. How would Mali try to save her child (assuming she has one) from inheriting the bad genes? Both nooboos are just taunting me with their futures, how could I ever choose a side?  ;D

.... Oh. And Medb... uh... well... she sure is a cutie! Heh... heh... I'll just show myself out.... :-[

Oh, yes.  Traits matter, don't they?  Apollo has the light sleeper and artistic traits.
We'll see how Arienne handles (or ignores) the young lad.

Wow, thanks for the compliments on the writing.  I really try, and I appreciate the feedback.
Medb is a cutie!  So is Mal, for that matter.  I already have a big soft spot for them.  Of course, Apollo doesn't have enough room to be very interesting just yet.
Good vs. evil family feud.  Interesting notion.  That might shape up.  The traits are all random, so we'll see how it goes  ;=)

Hmm... The traits are not exactly any evil or good.
But, somehow I have a plotting scenario pictured in my -rather big-ish- head that I thought would happen with the twins and Apollo. Wonder if that's gonna comes true or not.

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--The Rescue (?)

Pestilence:  I apologize, mistress, but I did not find the baby's father.
Arienne:  How could you fail at this simple task?

Pestilence:  Well, given that I've never seen the mother or the baby and had no context for who she may or may not know, I basically had no direction and just flew around in circles looking at people to see if any of them were carrying signs that said "I'm the baby's father."  That didn't work out.
Arienne:  Alright, then I suppose it's time to send out the flying monkeys!

Pippin:  Really?  Flying monkeys?
Arienne:  Yes.  I believe that's actually the nicest thing I've ever called them.
Pippin:  That's true...sadly.
Pestilence:  Mistress, I did find the father of your babies...

Pippin:  Yep, looks like Liam has hooked up with Tameka Dolan...meaning she must not still be the rebound romance for Tipton.
Arienne:  Eh, she can have him.  He's basically just one more whiny child and I have enough of those.  Besides, since he's a whiny child, she'll be suffering!
Pippin:  Speaking of suffering, how much longer are you going to leave poor Cara and baby Apollo in that tower.

Arienne:  Hmm, I should do something about that.  Let me sleep on it.

Pippin:  And as she sleeps, the creepy babysitter comes in to watch her.  Yep.  Nothing weird about that at all.  Nope.  Perfectly normal.

And when Arienne awoke...
Arienne:  I've decided what to do about Cara.
Pippin:  Alright...
Arienne:  Back when she captured and sold that falcon, I gave her a sleeping bag with the idea that I might take it away from her later.

Pippin:  Yes, I remember that.
Arienne:  Well, I've decided I'm going to let her keep it!

Arienne:  Yep, she can keep the sleeping bag.
Pippin:  What are you doing with that baby?

Arienne:  Congratulations!  Your sweet auntie Arienne has rescued you from the tower, baby Apple!
Pippin:  Apollo.

Arienne:  Whatever.  And you, baby Appstore, can call me "mistress."  Devin!  Get in here and raise this kid!
And when Cara awoke, discovering that she still had her sleeping bag, but was missing her child, she was less-than-thrilled.
Cara:  ARIENNE!!!!!

Cara:  That's it.  It's time to call in some back-up.

And so, back-up arrived,

played with the baby,

and left.
Pippin:  So, I see your brother Tipton came by for a visit.
Arienne:  Brother?  Is that who that was?
Pippin:  St. Ari, patron saint of the family.

Arienne:  Well, I did paint those lovely portraits of my babbling snot monsters.
Pippin:  Yes, I suppose that counts for something.  Speaking of your precious little non-monsters, an important day arrived for them.

Pippin:  And with an age-up comes something else very special...
Arienne:  Moving them out so I can have the house to myself?!?!
Pippin:  Umm, I was thinking makeovers.
Arienne:  Oh.
Pippin:  Malificent, who decided that she wants to go by "Mal," put together a wardrobe highlighted by her favorite color:  aqua.  She also had a random straw hat.
Mal:  It's cool.  Straw hats are cool.

Pippin:  Medb, who would have trouble shortening her name, had a decent amount of pink in her wardrobe and decided to rock a bow in her hair.
Medb:  Correct.  Not just "wearing" the bow, but "rocking" the bow.

Pippin:  Well, it's a little early to say for certain, but it seems that the girls each take quite a bit after their mother looks-wise,
Arienne:  The lucky little devils.

Pippin:  but there might be some of Liam in there too.
Arienne:  Eh, better his genes than Devin's or Todd's.
Pippin:  So, that's two of our potential heirs aged up to child...

Both girls are beautiful, and I'm glad to see Arienne has come around to Apollo. I'm curious of Arienne will continue her "I hate children" bit or if she'll eventually come around to them.

Thanks!  I think my girls are rather lovely as well.  I'm definitely seeing them favoring Arienne more than Liam, but we'll see if that holds true as they keep aging.  I'm not always so great at the genetics at the child level.
She might warm up to them if they seem like they'll fit into her plans  ;=)

First when I saw the title Rescue, you know what I had in mind? power ranger light speed rescue (or something like that, I don't really remember it anymore). When I saw Tipton stand there like ranger posing, it seriously make me LOL.

Hmm... I'm confused.  ??? It was said there, that Tipton came to play with Appstore and play with the baby and then left. Is that mean he left the baby at the household still? Cause at first, I actually think that he might had left with the baby too.
So, what is the purpose of Cara calls Tipton to the house then? Well, all will be revealed at time I guess.

Tipton fails as a Power Ranger, I'm thinking.  He didn't take Apollo with him.  Cara invited him over, but he never even tried to interact with her at all.  He went straight to the toddlers, interacted with all of them, randomly walked upstairs (causing that great scene with one on each side of the wall), then he left to go to work.  Yep.  Basically annoyed the mother of his child.

You know what I would find funny? If Apollo ended up being evil and Airenne's two children both ended up being good.

So, has Cara told him Appstore is his child or something like that? Or he actually thought that he just being asked to watch over his sister's kid without realizing how many kids she had?

Well, she was calling him in to be her knight in shining armor.  Instead, he was a babysitter in scrubs.  He may or may not know Apples is his child.  That has not yet been revealed  ;=)

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Up In Flames
« Reply #208 on: March 07, 2014, 01:59:30 PM »

At the Schlick-Wainwright household, things were not entirely peaceful.
Mal:  Can't believe you took the last piece of cake!

Medb:  I said I was sorry!
Mal:  Oh, okay then.  That instantly creates more sugary goodness for me.  I...I must go paint something thoroughly depicting the angst I feel.
Medb:  We both know you don't know what "angst" means!

Mal:  Obviously I do.  See?  So much angst.
Medb:  So...angst means...gingerbread house?
Mal:  Yep.  Pretty sure.
Pippin:  Nice misguided painting there, Mal.  Let's go see how your mom's doing with her painting.

Pippin:  Looking good, Arienne!
Arienne:  Yes, I certainly am.
Pippin: I...uh...I meant your paintings...
Arienne:  Sure you did.
Pippin:  Umm...anyway, the twins managed to work through the "last slice of cake" incident and were once again thick as thieves.
Arienne:  Oooo, that sounds promising!

1.Medb:  Who rocks their formal wear?
   Mal:  I'm guessing mom?
2.Mal:  These checker pieces look funny...
3.Medb:  If we catch an icky, slimy fish, who's going to take it off the hook?
Mal:  Oh...let's not fish.  Fishing is...boring.
4.Mal & Medb:  Pippin!!  We're route blocked!!!
Pippin:  And elsewhere in town...
Berucca:  We were expecting a baby...

Berucca:  but I was hoping it would turn out to be a cat.  With a mustache.
Pippin:  On the subject of family members having kids...or cats...here is a shot of Angie along with her daughters Abigail and Takisha.

Arienne:  Hey, Pippin, look what I did.

Pippin:  You...gave Cara a fireplace?
Arienne:  She thinks she's Cinderella, and Cinderella sleeps in front of the fireplace.
Pippin:  Well, that's unexpectedly kind.  Look how nice and warm she is sleeping next to...wait...what are you doing?

Arienne:  Simply building up the fire for her.  Building it way up for her!

And thus, our own personal rendition of Cinderella awoke to find she was covered in more than just cinders.

And the whole household gathered around the locked door wondering what they could possibly do to help.

Mal:  For some reason this locked door won't open.
Medb:  Oh, if only I hadn't just gotten a manicure, I'd knock it down with my bare hands!
Mal:  You have bear hands?!?!
Medb:  Yeah, I keep them in a jar on my desk.

And though we may not see dear, sweet Cara anymore, we will be seeing more of her lineage.

Pippin:  Yes, baby Apples...I mean...Apollo aged up to child.
Apollo:  I'm ready to serve you, mistress!
Arienne:  Good.  You can start by serving me a samich!
Apollo:  Yes, mistress.
Ben:  Well, Arienne, it seems you've disposed of your rival.  What's next?

Arienne:  Well, now that I've cleared a space in my house, it's time to keep my end of the bargain about Todd.
Ben:  So, you'll go ask him to end his relationship with Darla?
Arienne:  No, I've delegated the relationship-ending.

Devin:  Hello, Darla.  You're certainly quite the beauty.  What do you say you leave Todd and you and I go have beautiful children together?
Darla:  Well, let me think about it...
Devin:  Maybe we could spend some time getting to know each other better?
Darla:  Sure, just let me fix my hair.

Devin:  Wow, when you fix your hair, you defy logic.
Darla:  Indeed.
Devin:  What say we tour the theater together?  I know a secret little alcove in the back...

Devin:  So, you'll leave Todd for me?
Darla:  Well, I am carrying your child, so I guess I should.

And in another part of town, another potential romance was blossoming.

Medb:  No one's fooled.  Those aren't your real muscles.
Dwight:  This shirt's very realistic...I mean...yes they are my muscles.  I'm ripped!
Pippin:  Well, maybe "blossoming" was putting it a bit too strong...

Apples *cough* Apollo is very unlucky to aged up in just underwear with nothing else. He kinda looks like house elf I think...

About the other romances, seems like I have to wait for it's develop... or not.
And no comment about Cara. Seems like that would be the last of her and we won't be seeing her until next millenia  ;D
