I think I'm in love. Arienne is quite the little genius, but I thought she was going to marry someone else? I suppose no one tells Arienne what to do! I can't help but wonder if this marriage to Cara's husband is permanent or just temporary to make Cara squirm until she finds another way to do so?
I get the feeling that this is going to be fun.

I think your key quote there is, "No one tells Arienne what to do."  She might have other husbands.  Who knows.  She'll have to have kids, so she'll need a husband or two around to deal with them.  She has things to do.
Yes, lots of fun.  Arienne is wicked fun  :=)

'Saint Ari, patron saint of home-wreckers'.  So, he sleeps over and awakens to...

Yup. St. Ari. Maybe she would buy a building and named it after her popular name. LOL  ;D ;D ;D

I'm disappointed. I like Arianna, but she should try to do something good for a change, so her evil ways would really seem evil. Contrast is key, remember that, Aria.

Oooo, a shrine to Saint Ari.  That might have to happen!

Hmmm, not sure Ari could actually do something good.  Or at least, not anything genuinely good.  She could do manipulatively nice-looking things, maybe?

Definitely manipulative nice-looking things. Bambi vs. Godzilla is entertaining the first time you see it, but the attack of the fluffy bunny in Monty Python and the Holy Grail never gets old.

Oh wow! When I first read this, I thought you said Bambi vs. Gorilla. LOL blame my sleepyness.
Btw I truly am curious which one would fit the Bambi definition more, Cara the 'supposed arch enemy' or Ari the 'sweet talker mind master'.  ;D

Oh, the bunny in the Holy Grail is truly a twist of brilliance.  Loved that reference!

Given how you put it, Cara is the gorilla  ;=)

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Running Things
« Reply #173 on: February 22, 2014, 12:02:56 AM »

Arienne:  The slave labor didn't do too badly as she found a rare falcon worth over $800.

Arienne:  I decided that was enough to earn her a possession.

Arienne:  After all, it gives me the joy of being able to take it away later.  Speaking of "later," that's when I'll get around to having heirs.  Possibly with my husband.

Arienne:  Others, however, are apparently in a big rush to throw their lives away on pointless little babies.

Arienne:  Angie gave birth to a girl named Abigail, Aunt Berucca had a son named Nathaniel, and Renae had a baby that also had a name.  I got two out of three.  Considering how little attention I paid to such useless information, I figure that's fairly impressive.
Meantime, I decided to spend part of my enforced time off of work from my getting married by heading to a party.  Surely there'd be some fun to have there.

Arienne:  Indeed, convincing Jerome Dolan to kiss the purple-haired girl in front of his wife, Beth, was rather enjoyable.

Arienne:  He felt pretty good about himself, but she was rather irritated.

Arienne:  She was even more irritated when he let me sleep over...in their bed.  Seems that Beth needs to learn how to run a household.  Mine is in fine working order.

Arienne:  My slave handles all the cleaning,

Arienne:  while my husband increases my bank account by fishing.
Pippin:  Well, it looks like your indentured servant has managed to sneak away a little bit to get closer with her ex-brother-in-law, Landon.

Arienne:  Oh, I'll take him away from her if it comes to it.
Pippin:  But, wouldn't that mean cheating on your husband with his brother?
Arienne:  Speaking of cheating, Liam had the nerve to get a girlfriend again.  I let him know that was not okay.  He is mine.

Pippin:  And I used to think Berucca was the crazy one.

Arienne:  Crazy, huh?  Mere days into my young adulthood, I've already gotten halfway to completing my lifetime wish and have gotten my first promotion in the criminal career.

Arienne:  The only crazy ones would be those who doubt I'll dominate my portion of this legacy.

Pippin:  Arienne.  Arienne?  We need to talk.
Arienne:  If you're disturbing my sleep, you'd better have a good reason.

Pippin:  I think you should have babies sooner rather than later.
Arienne:  Goodnight, Pippin.
Pippin:  No, hear me out.  You have built-in babysitters in Devin and Cara.  Also, having babies now would give you about a good week off of work.  You could use that time to finish your lifetime wish.
Arienne:  So what?
Pippin:  Vlad may let you be his co-emperor of evil, but he's a vampire and will outlive you...unless you get an age freeze potion like your mom did.
Arienne:  Ah, I could be the immortal empress of evil.  Okay, I'm in.
Pippin:  I'm sure Devin will be delighted.

Pippin:  He'll make such a good father.
Arienne:  Oh.  Yes.  Devin.  Right.

Pippin:  (sigh) Guess expecting marital fidelity was asking a bit much.
Arienne:  Liam has better genes.  Look at the strong facial features and the muscular build.  Way better than this schmuck.

Arienne:  Now we just need a few supplies.

Arienne:  Cara!  Go to the store and pick up a rocking chair.  Oh, and a crib.  And while you're out, get a radio.
Cara:  But I was just about to eat.
Arienne:  No worries.  I packed you a snack to go.
Cara:  Oh, that's...unexpectedly kind.
Pippin:  So, have you turned over a new leaf with poor Cara?
Arienne:  No.  I packed her a ghost chili.

Pippin:  Skipping ahead to the next day, we find Arienne heading off to work when she should probably be staying home.
Arienne:  What?  I feel fine.  I'm not even sure the pregnancy took.

Arienne:  Oh.  Well, I guess it's no surprise that I got it right on the first try.  I am rather awesome.  Time to work on that lifetime wish.

Cara:  Well, since the wicked witch is distracted with skill-building, the beautiful princess can actually sneak out for a bit.  Social time!

Pippin:  So, Arienne, Cara tells me that Angie and Tipton are expecting another baby.

Arienne:  And Devin is expecting that these babies will be his.
Pippin:  "These" babies?

Arienne:  The radio.  It was so I could listen to the kids music station.  I don't want to waste any more time on pregnancy than I have to.  You made the ridiculous decision that each heir needed to have multiple babies.  That doesn't mean I need to suffer any more than necessary to provide the brats.
Pippin:  Wow, what a good mom you'll make.
Arienne:  Eh, I don't have to be a good parent.  I have people to do that for me.  Oh, and it's about time to pop these monsters out.

Arienne:  I had twins.
Pippin:  But, you only have one child there.
Arienne:  I'm having the other delivered to the house.
Pippin:  I don't think that's what "delivering the baby" really was intended to mean...
Arienne:  Well, I'm just dropping them off to Devin anyway.

Pippin:  Twin girls.  They're absolutely beautiful, Arienne.  What are their names?
Arienne:  I named one of them Malificent and the other Medb.
Pippin:  Villianous women from fairy tales and folklore?
Arienne:  Of course.
Pippin:  And I see that the painting skill is coming along.

Arienne:  Yep, only a couple more levels to go and then a few more in guitar and I've got it.  Good thing my idiot husband is taking care of my children.
Pippin:  But why isn't Cara helping take care of the babies?
Arienne:  She said she'd be cleaning the bathrooms for a while.

BWAHAHAHAHA Let me take a wild guess, Cara's baby is Tipton's?

And what's wrong with Cara's head angle when she ate the chili ghost? It seems as if her body is to front and the head was turned 180?

You're assuming she's pregnant and not just being fed rotten food.  Arienne did go out of her way to feed her a ghost chili, after all.
The shot of her breathing fire just has her oddly thrusting her torso forward.  It was an interestingly odd shot.  I wasn't sure why she had such a calm facial expression while breathing fire.  It was a touch disturbing.

Oh! What a treat! I've been out of town for a bit and this is quite the awesome thing to keep me busy when I don't have a gaming computer to play on! :) Arienne is just as I expected her to be, but Cara seems to have a little too much freedom... though that's just my observation. :P
