Looks like the voting won't be too far away! Can we get close ups of each of their faces? It's hard to figure out which parent's features they inherited. Arienne seems to look a great deal like her dad though. Not sure about the boys.
Yep, that's Sean and Ava's boy.  If Arienne ends up being the heir, I might have to do a makeover on Cara.  However, we must bear in mind that Cara is being made to be an archrival and didn't actually choose that role.
I think I'll be doing one more update before we move into the voting.  Two at the most.  I'll have close-ups of each of the kids and the announcement of their LTW's before the voting starts.

Okay then, where is team Arienne?
Let's cheers! Vlad is not the only one who want the girl to be heir~  ;)

I agree - team Arienne. This archrival stuff is just too good!
Well, looks like my little girl is popular!  Must say, I enjoy her, but I think the boys (and their sweethearts for that matter) are also really cool.  I'll be interested to see how things go once we actually get the voting, though I appreciate those of you who are taking your stances already  :=)

Playful Park, where young lovers often come to enjoy each other's company and to discuss those things that only young lovers would think of.
Angie:  So, you called Cara to come here and see your sister with Cara's boyfriend?
Tipton:  Yes.  Why?  Is that a bad thing?

Angie:  Depends on how you feel about breakups.
Tipton:  As long as it's not our breakup, I feel fine with it.
Angie:  Hmm, I suppose that's sweet?
Pippin:  And look, here comes Cara.

Cara:  You horrendous cheater!!  I never want to see you again!
Heriberto:  Wait, Cara?  Sorry, it just...I mean...oh, well, I guess it's just you and me now, Ari.
Arienne:  The name's Arienne, and I need a man with an actual spine.  Call me if you find one.
Pippin:  And we jump over to the Dolan house where wonderful relationship things are shaping up.

Norman:  I can't believe you're dating that loser Lucien!  He's absolutely worthless!
Lucien:  Hurtful!  I'm standing right here, you know?
Though, "worthless" would be an erroneous descriptor for young Lucien.  He had taken it upon himself to get a part-time job to contribute to the family funds and improve their financial worth.

Pippin:  Are you stealing that lamp?
Lucien:  What?  This lamp?  It simply fell into my backpack.  No idea where it came from, so I guess we can't return it.  Suppose I'll just have to sell it.  Quite a shame, really.
Pippin:  Well, looks like someone got a certain trait starting with a "K."
Lucien:  Yep.  Kat-lover.  That's me.  Just adore those fuzzy little kritters.
Pippin:  (Sigh) At least Tipton goes to bed at a decent time so he'll be rested for school.  Arienne was also up late, but not because of..."kats."  Rather, she had a visitor.

Pippin:  Looks like young Todd was enjoying Spooky Day just a bit too much.  No way anyone could fall for a gangly teen dressed as a cowplant, right?

Pippin:  Oh...
Arienne:  You don't look nearly as homely and pathetic as I though you might.
Todd:  And you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
Arienne:  Yes.  I certainly am.  Can't help but notice you're wearing red shoes.
Todd:  And is red your favorite color?
Arienne:  No, it's just a running joke my Watcher enjoys.
Pippin:  Hey, that's funny stuff!
Though it was not "funny stuff" that fueled the conversation that Chysm was having with her dragon confidant.

Chysm:  So, with Tipton being a genius, the kids easily figured out that we're part of a legacy, so they've grown up with that knowledge.  There's just one other detail that they don't know, and it concerns me a bit.
Ben:  The part about needing to move in with the spouse?  I think co-habitation is fairly common...
Chysm:  No, not that.  It's about the lifetime wishes.  I think they're already starting to settle on what they want to pick, but what they don't know...

Chysm:  is that the wishes will be randomly determined for them.  They won't have that choice.  How do I break that to them, Ben?
Ben:  Well, honesty is the best policy, so the only logical approach is to avoid the discussion completely and go on a family vacation.
Chysm:  You're a genius, Ben!  We'll leave tomorrow.

Patches: Hey there, handsome.
Tipton:  You know that you don't technically exist, but are actually just a projection of my own psyche, correct?
Patches:  Well, if I'm a "projection of your psyche," and I find you dreamy, wouldn't that mean you have some serious ego problems?
Tipton:  Hmmm, you may be on to something there.
Pippin:  And while Tipton wrestles with his own self-affection, Chysm, ever the affectionate sister, goes to check in on Berucca who has given birth to her first child.

Chysm:  Umm, I see lots of cats, but where's Baby Ariceli?
Berucca:  Keep looking.  She's there somewhere.
Pippin:  Being part of this crazy family can definitely have its social drawbacks.

Felisha:  I hear your sister is extremely evil and that your grandpa is the emperor of evil.
Lucien:  What?  Of course not!  Who's spreading this nonsense?
Felisa:  But, isn't that your grandpa right there with the evil red glow?
Lucien:  Golly jeepers, look at the time, we'd better both get home.  Curfew laws, you know.

And thus, we finally come to the day of the departure for some family vacation time and for the avoidance of sharing unpleasant realities.
Pippin:  Well, before they depart, Arienne decided to act upon a wish to kiss Heriberto again, so she invited him over.

Pippin:  And the foolish boy decided to snub our precious little princess.  She is, of course, a fragile and delicate young lady.

Pippin:  And so, with Chysm playing appropriate fight scene music, our dainty wilting violet let that young man know the error of his ways.
Tipton:  I heard a young man was being offensive to you, so I came to defend your honor.
Arienne:  I already took care of it.  Appreciate the thought, though.
Chysm:  Well, if you're finished handing out abuse, I guess we'll book those flights.

Chysm:  Okay, everyone get in the cab!

Lucien:  Umm, where am I supposed to ride?  All the seats are filled.
Tipton:  I have an idea!  How about we put you in the trunk with the bags and then I can just bring you as my carry-on luggage.  We'll save a bundle on the ticket.
Pippin:  I don't think that's how carry-on luggage works...

at any rate, here is some bonus footage:  a close-up of each of our potential heirs and the list of their traits.

Lucian, the firstborn child, is easily impressed, loves the outdoors, is a natural cook, and a Kat person...I mean, kleptomaniac.

Tipton, his absolutely non-identical twin, is a genius, eccentric, a natural-born performer, and he is artistic.

And the baby of the group is Arienne who is evil, eccentric, neurotic, and clumsy.

The lifetime wishes will be announced after their return from vacation and the voting will begin at that time.

Hm, this is going to be a close one for me! Lucien is really cute, but I love Tipton's personality, and Arienne is a whirlwind of drama! I don't know who I'll vote for yet, but I guess I better decide soon.

Haha, I love Arienne in that last update just "I need a man with an actual spine. Call me if you find one."
I laughed so hard at this update. Kleptos are a lot of fun... oh man this will be a hard decision, but I think I've got someone in mind. :)

I'm glad you're torn...as odd as that sounds.  I know which one would be my favorite if I were just picking, so I'm trying to be sure that I avoid showing any favoritism.  Thanks for the feedback on the kids  :=)

They are all very interesting, but I'm really disappointed in Arianne and her ways, because I think Heriberto is handsome and really... a suitable trophy husband for a woman like Arianne. And from a thing to another, isn't Todd Arianne's cousin? They shouldn't be attracted to each other, they're too closely related.

I thought Heriberto would be able to contribute some nice genes, but he showed up and started snubbing the evil girl.  When you snub the evil girl, you pay.
Todd is technically not related to Arienne because Ezzy was a clone of Dulci.  Dulci's children are Arienne's cousins, but Ezzy's are technically not.  If she and Todd married and had babies, it would simply reinforce the Schlick and Wainwright looks in the line.  Not a bad thing given how lovely their five daughters turned out.

Well, since there isn't any genetic disorders in Sims, I suppose it's technically okay for our little pixel people to have cousin marriages.

Genetic disorders in the Sims.  That might add a layer of realism, but not sure that an expansion pack with that would sell particularly well.

Oh my~ how come this update make me love Lucien so much more than Arienne is beyond me.
On other hand it might be my love for evil sim that works there...

So proud of your Kat-Lover trait, Lucien. I myself rarely could use that in dynasty because of all the requirement that I was so hastily chased after.  ;D

Hmmm... Now you make me doubt my fav, Pippin. I like Lucien too... What do I do? LOL

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Time for Change
« Reply #133 on: February 08, 2014, 12:18:22 AM »
With a lengthy flight behind them, the family arrived in the wondrous and mystical land of China.  Their minds were instantly jumping to thoughts of the adventures which awaited them and of experiencing this wondrous new culture.

Lucien:  I miss Renae.  I think I'll call her.
Arienne:  You're pathetic.  I'm gonna go learn how to kick even more butt.

Pippin:  And what are you planning to do, Tipton?
Tipton:  I believe that my time would be best invested in taking my brother on an adventurous exploration of a tomb in which to forget his grief as he experiences the joys of experiencing the unknown.
Pippin:  Wow, that was wordy.

Lucien:  You know, this tomb exploring was pretty cool.
Tipton:  Agreed.  It was an exhilarating rush of adrenaline.  We should inform mother of how glorious this is.

Pippin:  I'm pretty sure she's already aware of how great it is.

Pippin:  Still just a white belt, Arienne?
Arienne:  No, I just like the pale coloring and the fact that others will underestimate me and be easier to destroy.
Pippin:  You're scary.  Chysm, on the other hand, is simply consistent.

Pippin:  Yep, with a chance to meet new people and experience a new culture, she decides to play her guitar for tips.  Nothing but the normal with her.  Some odd things happened on this trip, however.  For example, Chysm randomly fell for some old guy.

Chysm:  He looked very...sophisticated.
Pippin:  And "sophisticated" must be code for "old."  Anyway, Arienne tried to catch a nap and became a target for a paparazzo.

Having enjoyed a glorious time adventuring through this exciting, foreign land, the family came back together to share a meal and a bit of pleasant conversation.

Arienne:  Do I really have to sit next to this ugly loser?
Chysm:  Yes.
Tipton:  Well, thanks for defending my honor, mother.
Chysm:  Huh, I don't remember doing that.

Tipton:  Anyway, I've decided what I want to choose for my lifetime wish.  I shall select one of the exploration focused ones.  I'm still weighing the specific detail...
Arienne:  No one cares, braniac.  I'm going to be empress of evil.

Lucien:  Well, really the LTW will only particularly matter for whichever one of us wins the voting.  The others may or may not be shown courtesy in story progression.
Chysm:  Kids, there's something...Pippin should tell you.  Pippin?
Pippin:  ...

Chysm:  (sigh) Fine, I guess I'll have to tell you then.  The big picture is that there are things about this legacy that are being determined randomly.  That includes your lifetime wishes.
Tipton:  What?!?
Arienne:  That will NOT stop me from being empress of evil!
Lucien:  It's all fine, just as long as I can provide for those beautiful kids Renae and I will have.  I miss her.  Can I be excused to go call her now?
Chysm:  No, we're going to let you know what you've gotten as your lifetime wishes.
Pippin:  Okay, with random dice roll determining the outcomes, here are the LTW's.  Lucien has received the LTW of Fairy Tale Finder.  Tipton's is Scientific Specialist.  And Arienne did not receive Emperor of Evil, but instead, got Master of the Arts.
Arienne:  So, I can still do the criminal career and just knock out guitar and painting as skills?
Pippin:  Yes.

So, with their futures determined, the young heir hopefuls finished up their remaining vacation time and made their return trip to their home.
Upon their return, they checked in on the extended family.

Pippin:  Berucca has had two children now and immediately became pregnant with her third.  Ezzy's second son, Donta, seems like he might turn out more handsome than Todd.  Dulci hasn't had her children removed by protective services yet, so that's a victory.
Chysm: Pippin, why have you been pushing my children to pursue the Dolan kids?
Pippin:  Well, they just gave us so many options...it's not entirely my fault...
Chysm:  The boys are visiting Dolans all the time and even dear little Ari has gone out to see a Dolan boy.  If he breaks her heart, I'll beak his arms.
Pippin:  Wow, that's some serious parenting there.

Airenne:  Hey, Norman.
Norman:  Wow, thanks for coming to see me, Arienne.  You're so beautiful and I wasn't sure...
Arienne:  Okay, you bore me now.  I think I'll talk to your handsome brother.
Norman:  (sigh)

Ah, the struggles of teenage romance.  On the bright side, Tipton and Lucien won't need to deal with that anymore.

Pippin:  Actually, Tipton had sent his girlfriend, Angie, a love letter, but she sent him a polite rejection letter.  Maybe he hasn't escaped teen drama after all.  Regardless, we've finally reached the time for the voting.  Here are your options:

Lucien

Tipton

or Arienne.

Voting has now closed for this poll.

What do I do? It's time for voting already... Which one to choose?

Well, that's aside, like Chysm, me too wonders why all her kids pursue Dolan? Is the whole town barren? (Which should not be the case because you use mods)
I do also remember there are few other people who have toddler or pregnant at the early start of the game...
Why Pippin? How come Dolans?
