Yes! Team Cara continues! I knew it! . . . okay, okay, I didn't know it, but I was sure hoping it.

Oh Mal, she's funny, and just like Chysm in so many ways...
So Arienne got her young again potion eh? I see so many possibilities!
I'm actually kind of in between who I want to win the heir poll, I'll be happy with anyone, even Apollo, but only if Cara is completely out of the picture.  ::)

Mal:  Oh, well, my birthday's in three days, so we have a two day age difference.  I did the math all by myself!!  Well, Cod-meister, time for me to head home and do what wild and crazy teens do...
Mal:  clean!!!

Well, at least the crazy part is true for that statement.
Btw, is she a socially awkward or unstable?

Yep, Cara's still around.  Arienne needs her favorite target, after all  ;=)

Cara is in the picture for Arienne.  Not sure how much she'd be in the picture for Apollo.  Haven't really worked that all out just yet.

Well, at least the crazy part is true for that statement.

Mal is a good, hydrophobic, equestrian with no sense of humor.  I'm playing the no sense of humor angle as she doesn't entirely get humor and has no idea when she's funny or ridiculous.  I'm making it a lack of that filter rather than a grumpy sort of trait, if that makes sense.  And yes, I'm fairly certain that she is unstable  ;=)

Socially awkward? Unstable? I don't care. I love her!
I have a soft spot for Mal (and Medb for that matter) myself.  They're the first twins I've had that have been really identical as they look exactly like their mother and actually share two of their four traits (which I chose at random).

I'm trying not to have a favorite, trying really, really hard but...oh well, perhaps not hard enough. Not quite yet anyway. I'm digging Mal. I'm curious about Applestoretree and am intrigued by Cara's attempt at usurping Arienne's power, but Mal would have to have a seriously annoying LTW and/or 5th trait for me to vote for someone else, and even then...nothing against Medb of course, she's cool too. I guess. No, really, I like her. I do. It's nothing personal - I love the interactions between Mal and Medb, and I'll even look up how to pronounce Medb's name properly one of these days.

For the record, my opinion has almost nothing to do with Mal's similarities to Chysm as I voted for Berucca as the first heir - this also means that if Mal ends up with unstable, insane or something relatively similar, there will be almost no question as to who will get my vote, Appomattox be darned.

As for me, Mal similarities with Chysm is what make me not vote for her. It would just be like the first generation all over again with the weird sense of socialization.

As extra info : Medb hold the same meaning as Maeve and probably the same pronunciation too.

I try not to have favorites either, but it's pretty much impossible to avoid.  Mal has Chysm's looks, but is definitely a different personality.  I think she takes more after her aunt Berucca, now that you mention it.

Yes, Medb=Maeve.  Nicely done.
I'm trying to avoid having any generation replicate another, so have no fear  ;=)

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Spotlight on Medb
« Reply #248 on: March 26, 2014, 02:19:14 PM »

Pippin:  Before we check in on dear Medb, let's get an update on how things are going for Devin.

Pippin:  It looks like he and Darla are expecting another baby.  She actually was briefly in a rebound relationship with someone else while pregnant with her first baby with Devin,

Pippin:  but he convinced her to end that...

Pippin:  and they got married.  While he had his hair in corn rows.  No idea why that's his outdoor hairstyle.  He then moved out of Arienne's house of horrors and into the home of his new wife and their kids.  Speaking of kids, let's get back to the ones who might be the next heir.

As the second-born twin, Medb comes next in our focus on the potential heirs.

Medb:  I love being surrounded by family!  Hello?  Family?  Anyone?  Hmm, maybe this is too surrounded.  Guess maybe I'll leave this get-together and follow mom's advice about meeting more boys my age.

Medb:  Noe Schick-Burb's house.  I'm told we're somehow related, but distant enough that it doesn't matter.  That's good.  That means more options for a boyfriend!!  Including his older brother Nathaniel, once I age up.  Hey, Nathaniel.
Nathaniel:  Yeah, okay.

Medb:  Hey, Noe.  Whatcha doin'?
Noe:  I'm taking a shower.  What does it look like I'm doing?
Medb:  Well, if you're taking a shower, you're doing it wrong...and probably shouldn't be doing it in public.
Noe:  I'm raking leaves!!
Medb:  I thought so!  So...umm...do you like red shoes?
Noe:  I'm just going to rake now.  You can watch if you want, but please stop speaking.
Medb:  (Nods)

Medb:  Hey, look, now we're raking leaves together.  Kind of like a date, huh?
Noe:  Sure.  Maybe we could have another date next time I have to clean my room.
Medb:  Whoa, buddy!  That was a bit forward.  A lady prefers to be woo'd.  I'm outta here!

Medb:  Windsurfing down a river.  Because I can!  Then, back home to hang out with cousin Theron.

Medb:  He's goofy-looking and I'm really glad that we're too closely related to date as he'd obviously ask me out because I'm rather gorgeous.  Mom says so.  Right after commenting that I look like her.

Medb:  Whoa, whoa, Theron!  Are you insulting me?  Only one way to settle this...

Medb:  DANCE FIGHT!!!!

And thus we'll leave our boy-crazy dance-fighter.  Next time, we'll check in on the only boy, Apollo.

Glad you clarified that  :)

And Medb surrounded by family... is that her LTW? Woah! That might be kinda troublesome for her because the next heir would start from the scraps.

Okay, you're going to make choosing very difficult.
Thank you!  That might be the nicest compliment I've received all day  :=)

LTW's haven't been posted yet, so they wouldn't have any way to know them before these individual updates are posted.  I'm waiting for one of them to get stuck with a life state specific one that they can't complete.  The beauty of random LTW's!

The Schlick-Wainwright Legacy--Spotlight on Apollo
« Reply #252 on: March 27, 2014, 12:49:10 PM »

We join our young potential heir enjoying yet another bowl of brain freeze a la mode.

Apollo/Appstore/Apples:  The mistress would like me to pay a visit to my dear mother.

Cara:  Apollo!  You've come back to me!  How...how did you now I was still alive?
Apollo:  That horrible woman knew.  She let it slip in front of me, so I snuck out to see you.

Apollo:  She barely feeds me.  Let me get something started cooking and then we can chat.
And so, he stops mid-cooking, makes his excuses, starts to exit, and leaves a housefire going.
Cara:  Apollo!  What have you done?
Apollo:  Mwahaha!  The mistress let you escape so she could have you as a pawn for her amusement.
And the amusement continues.

Apollo:  Hmm, still not getting the response the mistress wanted.  Guess I'll have to prank some more.

Apollo:  Devin and Darla's house is a nice target.  Let's see if it works this time...

Apollo:  Yep.  It worked.  Now, phase two...

Apollo:  Well, hello there.  Did you just get a job at the hospital?  We should chat...
Having completed the goals his mistress set out for him, Apollo returns to his favorite leisure-time activity.

Pippin:  And now, the moment the three of you have awaited...
Mal:  Talking voices from the sky?  It's aliens!!
Medb:  I think that might be our Watcher.
Mal:  Well...he might be an alien.
Pippin:  Anyway, as I was saying, the moment you've all been awaiting, the announcement of your lifetime wishes!!  We'll start with you, Mal.

Mal:  Hey, that's my name, too!
Pippin:  ...yes...it is.  Anyway, you're lifetime wish shall be (pauses for drum roll that doesn't happen) seasoned traveler!!
Mal:  Seasoned.  So like, adding pepper and stuff.

Pippin:  And you, Medb,
Medb:  Do I get heartbreaker?!?
Pippin:  Umm, no.  You get world-renowned surgeon.
Medb:  Oh.  Thanks.  I guess.

Pippin:  And Apollo.  You shall have the LTW of master romancer.
Apollo:  Well.  I must inform the mistress and see what advice she has.

And thus, our three potential heirs have been presented and their LTW's have been determined.  The voting shall be open through April 3rd.  To vote, click here.

This is going to be hard. World Renowned Surgeon I've completed soooo many times. I don't have WA so Seasoned Traveler could be good, but the Romancer thing could be great. Wanders away to ponder...

Having the randomness for traits and LTW's has been really fun for me.  It's pushed me to try out new traits and has at least made me consider new LTW's.
