Family"Are you grounded?" Miraj asked.
"Yes." VJ replied.
"What was it this time?"
"Well..you know my friend, Lisa Bunch?"
"Oh, her? Yes, she's really rude."
"Well, we have actually been together for a while, and..dad caught us kissing a few hours ago when I invited her over."
Miraj grumbled. VJ was always getting into trouble, and he as well as his father were sick of it. But, it wasn't rare for VJ to get into trouble, so Miraj got used to it. His father however, was the opposite.
He always witnessed his father yelling at VJ, and punishing him for his 'crimes'.
"How long will you be grounded?" Miraj asked.
"Dad never said, he was really angry."
This confused Miraj. He knew that VJ had done way worse things, such as purposely breaking the school's water fountain, causing it to flood the whole school. It took a week to clean it up.
"Well, I'm gonna go talk to him." Miraj said, getting up from the couch.
Miraj walked outside. His father was reading the newspaper, Miraj saw a picture of a middle-aged man and a slightly younger woman on the article his father was reading. Miraj sat down next to his father.
His father immediately put the newspaper away. As he did this, Miraj looked in his father's eyes, he had the look someone got when they didn't want someone to see something. There was something in that newpaper that was important.
"Hi, Miraj." His father said, smiling at him.
"Dad," Miraj responded, "Why did you get so mad at VJ for kissing Lisa? He has done much worse things."
His father's smile vanished. "It uh…" He stammered. He took a deep breath and said: "It reminded me of me and your mother when we were VJ's age."
His mother. Miraj didn't know much about her, not even her name. All he knew was that she had just left one day. Just out of the blue. She didn't leave a note, she vanished without a trace.
"I don't want VJ to go through the same thing I did, when
she left. Lisa isn't a good person, she gets in as much trouble as VJ does."
"But..Lisa wouldn't leave VJ." Miraj responded.
"I never thought
she would leave either." His father responded. "But she did."
Miraj stared at the sky for a moment, watching the clouds dance above him.
"You know, your mother and I used to sit here all the time." His father said, his smile reappeared.
"Why did she leave?" Miraj asked.
"I don't know son, I don't know." His father replied. "Why don't we go back inside?"
---
The rest of the day was normal. The sun set, and his father made dinner for VJ and Miraj. As they sat and ate, his father ignored VJ. Miraj couldn't stop thinking about the newspaper. What did his father not want him to see? As he went to bed, Miraj couldn't contain his curiosity, he got out of bed, and walked into the kitchen. His father always kept the newspaper on the dining table, and there it was. Miraj grabbed the paper, and read.
It took Miraj a few minutes to find the picture of the man and the woman. Miraj started reading the article.
Sunset Valley Council Approves Plan to Find Missing SpaceshipBy Fiona McIrishLocals rejoiced as the Sunset Valley Council announced its approval on the plan to find the missing spaceship; SimGalaxy, which vanished in space about 11 years ago. It carried 110 passengers including it's captain, Anthony Cross. The council confirmed that the spaceship sent to search for the missing passengers and crew will be manned, and that family members of those missing passengers are more then welcome to come along. Sunset Valley is the fifth city to approve this plan. Twinbrook being the first, Hidden Springs the second, Barnacle Bay the third, and Appaloosa Plains being the fourth. It's estimated that around 150 sims in SimNation had relatives on the SimGalaxy. Jack Bunch, shown in the picture above, was selected to be the captain of the spaceship, with Erin Kennedy (also shown above) selected to be his assistant. Boyd Wainwright, and his wife Susan, scientists from the Landgraab Industries Science Facility, were chose to design the spaceship. Construction is planned to be completed in about a year.
"It's really nice that they approved this plan," said resident Connor Frio, whose brother, Paulo was a passenger. "I plan to come along on this expedition."
The spaceship is planned about 250 passengers. More information is said to be realeased about this plan soon.----
Kaylynn's bicycle crunched against the pavement. She had just visited her friend, Darlene. Darlene and her did their homework together, Darlene kept chatting about how her dad has been really 'busy' lately with his work. Kaylynn didn't really understand, (or was interested) in stuff like that. She came to a halt at her house. She opened the door, and walked inside. She instantly scrunched up her nose, there was a foul odor of rotting food in the house.
She saw her brother, Parker, sitting at the table. Once he saw her, he put his finger to his lips and pointed towards the kitchen door. Kaylynn could hear her parents, as well as her Aunt Zelda, talking. Parker was eavesdropping on their conversation.
They were talking really loudly, so it wasn't hard for them to hear what they were saying.
---
"Do you really think..Arthur's still alive Dustin?" Kaylynn's mother said.
"Yes lliana, I do. We should come on that spaceship." Her father replied.
"But what about the children?" Her mother asked.
"They can come too." Aunt Zelda replied. "Stiles told me that his friend told him that the spaceship will have a whole room dedicated to children, with slides and stuff."
"Parker is 16 Zelda." Kaylynn's mother replied.
"Well, I'm going." Her father said. "I need to see if Arthur's okay."
"Okay, well then I guess we'll all come then." Her mother replied. "Let's tell the kids."
Kaylynn heard the door open.

"Mortimer dear, we need to talk." Cornelia said to her son.
"What is it mother?" Mortimer replied. "Can this be quick? Bella will be coming over soon."
"Son, this is important." Mortimer's father, Gunther, said.
"Okay, then what is it?" Mortimer asked.
"Well.." Cornelia bit her lip. "We will be leaving Sunset Valley soon."
"Why?" Mortimer asked.
"Mother's sister, Mathilde, is..missing." Gunther replied. "And we're gonna find her."
"When will we come back?" Mortimer asked.
"We..don't know." Cornelia replied.
"But what about Bella?" Mortimer said, tears welling up in his eyes.
"She won't be coming." Gunther said.
"I don't want to leave!" Mortimer screamed.
"Mortimer-" Cornelia began.
"NO!" Mortimer ran into the house and slammed the door.
