How can I get married to mixologist Ricky Bailey?

I used testingcheatsenabled true to make Brigit Hemlock my current playable sim. She lives in her own apartment and goes out moonlighting as a mixologist and that's when she met her current romantic interest Ricky Bailey. I can't even get him to move in or become her boyfriend! I can't even add him to the current household using testingcheatsenabled true!! Help!!

What exactly happens when you try to add him to your household?

It might be because he has an NPC job. There are lots of things you can't do to sims who have certain jobs. I know that I usually can't do anything to mixologists (beyond get drinks) until I find them off-hours.

My advice is to grab the Legendary Host LTR and invite him to a party. A lot of restrictions placed on NPCs are lifted when they're away from their jobs and at parties, and the LTR will force him to go to your parties regardless of what he has to do.

What I did to get my sim to meet a mixologist was have her chat up the bouncer.  Then she invited the mixologist to join in the conversation.  Once he left his "station", all the regular chat options showed up and she was even able to flirt with him.

The bouncer and mixologist where odd NPCs though, I get the feeling that they were once unemployed townies who were forced into the NPC spots to fill the need because they were very well thought out NPCs with traits and stuff.
