Sims 3 Store - Gifts for the Holidays

The store is doing 12 days of free gifts for Christmas plus a mystery sale item each day until the new year.

Today's freebie is the Plants vs Zombies Sunflower from the greenhouse set, if you don't have the greenhouse it's worth getting for the plant fertilizer

Heh, I had already mentioned this in the free stuff thread above yesterday   Yours is better though since it does mention the set which is also on sale.

As for the item which is on sale, it is the one with the 40% discount.  Today's is the Country' Living set for 840 Simpoints.

I imagine the Gifts for the Holidays will actually stay free as the two items already come from a free set.  The Sunflower will probably expire tomorrow (the Sims 3 site says these should only be available for one day)

Note:  I made a mistake about the two items coming from an existing set.  After going through the holiday free item links, I was wrong.  The cornucopia is different from the one in the Fall Fruition set, mainly on the placement of the candle.  As for the stack of presents, I was mistaking it with the piles included in Sims 3 Seasons.

You know I looked for a post on this and totally missed yours, sorry Bri, I did think well that's odd as you are so reliable at posting these things 

I had the chickens but not the whole set, got it with CYS for 170 sim points.

I'll leave it to the mods if they wish to merge/lock this then.

I would recommend keeping the thread.  It is separate for what is essentially a limited time offer, and it mentions the item on sale as well.   

And speaking of sale, Origin has many items on sale up to 20% off.

I'm just curious, because I like knowing all things about the Sims Store    Which sets do the presents and cornucopia already come from?  I looked around at the other free sets listed within the "Holidays and Gifts" section and didn't notice either in any of those sets.  I'm just wondering if I'm missing another free set somewhere on the store if this gift already comes from another free set.  I definitely don't want to miss out on any freebies!

I am mistaken, and will amend my post after this.  What I took to be an old pile of presents is just me mistaking them with presents from the Seasons expansion.

As for the cornucopia, I thought it was the same one from the Fall Fruition set.   However, I was mistaken.  The Fall Fruition has the candle in the gourd, while the one from the Gifts for the Holidays has the candle outside.

I'm not sure where to post this, but as it relates to the free gifts, I'll post it here. Is anyone having trouble with the sims store today? The page is not loading fully, and when I do eventually get onto the free gifts page, I get a page full of script and something about server is out of memory.
