Welcome to the Newman Random Legacy!

For starters, this is my story about my Random Legacy, which can be found here. To sum it up, there are 6 categories: family structure, number of children, primary income, secondary income, generation goal and miscellaneous fun. You have to roll a number for each section and that corresponds to one of the options. For example, for 'Family Structure', you have roll a number between 1 and 35.  If you rolled a number between 1 and 10, your Sim would be a single parent.

I may alter the rules slightly to suit my personal playing style. For example, I'm not restricting any of my premium content and I don't want to use the laundry from Ambitions. I want this to be a relaxed game to play. It's not like the dynasties where I'm trying to get into the Hall of Fame. It's just a game for fun, where I can use the random rolls system to try out new things I haven't done before in the game. I'll admit, I have re-rolled a couple of times already and I've only had to roll for two generations! But that's either because the rolls aren't very exciting or that I'm simply too lazy to carry them out (e.g 'Partier' in misc. fun because I hate throwing parties!). I don't want to stop playing and stop writing the story because I have 'failed'. If I miss something out then I'll just carry on. Obviously I'm still going to try and complete every task that I roll but as I said, I don't want to end the game just because I didn't quite manage something.

Also, this story begins with two Sims from my Newman 4x4 Dynasty. It's the best Sim story I have ever written and it is one of the most popular 4x4 stories so it's well worth a read.

This is the Family Tree. I won't update it further than what has been posted in chapters but if you haven't read the most recent chapter then it could contain spoilers. Also, it doesn't include the rest of Bellatrix's family, but a larger family tree for Bellatrix's side of the family can be found on the stats/chapters page of my Newman 4x4 Dynasty.

Chapter 1 - A Monte Vista Family

For those who are unfamiliar with these two, this is Bellatrix, or Bella, and her husband Jorge. Technically they were never married in my 4x4 but we'll overlook that. We'll also overlook the fact that they have both been magically reset to their YA stage and their son George has magically disappeared.

So, what's their story? Well, Bella is the daughter of evil mastermind Angel and Walter Newman, nee Fullman, from University world. She has two siblings: Ivy and Mickey. Jorge is part of a family that moved to Aurora Skies once the game began. They were together for most of their teen years and for part of their adulthood, until Bella had to move with the rest of her family to Appaloosa Plains after an ageing bug. There she gave birth to their son George, who bared absolutely no resemblance to his father, as Jorge wasn't registered in the family tree, because that it just way to complicated for the game to handle.

Bella's traits are Family-Oriented, Insane, Loves the Outdoors, Natural Cook and Neurotic and Jorge's are Party Animal, Absent-minded, Clumsy, Dog Person and Family-oriented.

Bella: I literally feel asleep during that.
Jorge: Me too.

Oh shut up and get back to your lovers thing.

So now they're living in Monte Vista, my favourite town. Their misc. fun is 'Homemade' so that means they can't buy food from the grocery store. So Bellatrix goes to raid somebody's garden.

Bella: Isn't this trespassing? And stealing?

Hurry up, Bella! They're not watching! Keeping grabbing those onion!

Jorge's career (he took secondary income) is daycare, so that means the house will be infested with toddlers. Bellatrix rolled culinary, which is helpful, considering that's what she used to be, so that means she doesn't have to go to work until later in the day. So Jorge uses her as a toddler slave helper.

But that certainly doesn't mean they can't find time for themselves.

And it isn't long before this happens:

I should show you the house. The ground floor was originally slightly smaller, with walls from the end of the kitchen cabinets to the door. The downstairs bathroom also used to have a bathtub instead of a shower but showers are some much more practical. As you can see, there is a lot of toddler toys everywhere!

The upstairs is a lot larger than it used to be. Bella and Jorge's room was originally where the empty room is now and the room to the left (their current bedroom) didn't exist. The empty room will be a nursery, once they can scrape together enough for a cot!

They're not very wealthy. In fact, there was a point when they had exactly zero Simleons. So, of course, they decide to destroy their feather pillows.

Jorge: And I nearly had my neck snapped off in the process! She's very violent when it comes to pillow fighting, even if she is pregnant!

They're out on a visit to the library when Bella went into labour. She was halfway through a pregnancy book when it happened, so hopefully she got to the section about the birth.

(At the time, Jorge was upstairs reading The Adventures of Raymond.)

Bella and Jorge quickly hopped into a taxi and headed to the hospital. Moments after entering, Bella had a little girl. They named her Hermione. I will be randomizing all traits (even though I didn't roll it in Misc. fun) so she got Easily Impressed and Insane, which is a trait she shares with Bella. Things are going to get pretty mad around here.

She likes to sit in her baby swing and watch television with her mummy and daddy. Maybe they're watching 'Harry Potter'?

Her parents both adore her. She's a lucky little girl.

She grew into an adorable toddler. She's got her mother's hair and eyes (I believe) and a mixed skin tone. I think she will fit very nicely with the rest of the town's residents. Her favourite colour is Hot Pink (like Bella) but I lightened it, so it's more a pastel pink. And when you add that little hat, her cuteness level doubles!

Hermione likes to hang out with the other toddlers that come to her dad's daycare. Now that's he's a level three, there are four a day. Five toddlers to care for! It's almost as bad as the Baby Boomer. Well, not quite that bad... it's a little bit... no, face it, NOTHING is as bad as the Baby Boomer!

When they're not working, her parents spend time teaching her her skills. The generation goal isn't Perfect Children, but it's still important.

The snowy season begins in Monte Vista (there is only two seasons - Summer and Winter). I wonder what the winter has in store for our family?

It's fine, Rikki! I miss things all the time. Heck, when I first tried the Immortal Dynasty, I was asking questions with the most obvious answers, like moving people out of the household!

I'm already having a lot of fun with it. The daycare toddlers are a bit of a nightmare but I'm sure I'll cope 


Chapter 2 - Lots of Birthdays

Winter came and went and just about the only thing that Bella and Jorge did was build this igloo. I wonder what they got up to in there...?
(P.S - The hearts are a clue)

Whatever happened, this was the result:

Bellatrix went into labour while in the bathroom. At the time, I didn't know if that was the case or whether she was just making silly faces in the mirror.

I sent her to the hospital anyway and later she emerged with another baby girl named Lily. She doesn't look particularly happy, though.

Hermione is now a child and she still maintains her toddler cuteness.

Bellatrix: She gets that from me. Obviously.

She is very serious when it comes to chasing bandits on her rocking horse.

Hermione: It's a very serious matter! We cannot allow the bandits to harm Monte Vista! Now go, my faithful steed!

And she has also made herself Queen of the Household. I'm not sure what Jorge and Bellatrix think about that.

She also likes to work out using the stereo.

It wasn't long before her sister Lily aged into an adorable toddler. She gets Bella's fair skin and Jorge's black hair which I think is a beautiful combination.

Shortly after, the other three members of the household all celebrate their birthdays. First came Hermione.

I just loved the outfit she aged up in. It looks like something I would wear! So I kept it. The rest of her wardrobe was hot pink, though.

And then came Jorge and Bella.

Lily's toddler years weren't particularly exciting and I didn't take any screenshots. Sorry Lily! But she did then age up into an adorable child. Now I can't decide between the two girls for the heir! I love them both!

It is very fun to play! I love Hermione and Lily, and Bellatrix and Jorge are like old friends now. Also, I've never really played around much with daycare which is hard, but still good.

Lily and Hermione are adorable. Especially Lily! I love that hairstyle on her. Can't wait to see who you pick as heir.

It's actually one of my favourite child hairstyles (it's from Aurora Skies). I think it looks great on black haired Sims.

Chapter 3 - Hermione and Lily

Lily was an adorable little child and she loved playing with the toddlers from Jorge's daycare.

She was also a little more playful than Hermione was. Well, she didn't take the whole bandit thing so seriously.

Winter was fun for her and she spent her time making snowmen.

When the ice thawed, she spent most of her free time fishing. Though it seems the horses weren't too pleased about it.

Soon her birthday came around and she grew into a beautiful teen.

(Lily, rather luckily, got the Angler trait to go with Star Quality, Clumsy and Perceptive)

But this chapter isn't just about Lily!

There were many people Hermione could have dated. She was the prettiest girl in school, mostly because of the fact that her clothes were actually coordinated. However, there was only one boy that she was interested in. His name was Keith Monty. She adored him but it seemed these feelings were not returned by Keith.

Keith soon aged up and left school. It wasn't long before Hermione did the same.

(Hermione gained the Neat trait to go with Insane, Workaholic, Brooding and Easily Impressed)

And this time, it seems he was a little more keen.

Hermione graduated and was awarded Class Valedictorian as well as the 'Most likely to Offend others' award. I don't know how she got that, she's pretty nice most of the time.

Hermione: Oh shut up, Watcher!

I stand corrected.

She was planning to host a post-graduation party when this happened.

She invited Keith to the house to telling him the big news.

And this time he was more than happy to let Hermione kiss him.
