The rules for this challenge say that we must use the skill journal to get the number of perfect plants.  My Sim has planted a perfect lime tree, but it shows up as excellent in the journal.  Do I just end up losing this perfect plant or is there something else going on?

I think it doesn't show up in the journal until you have harvested it Pam.

That's what I had just figured out.  Thanks, Saltpastillen.  I don't like it, though.  The challenge says perfect plants, not perfect harvest produce.  :(

I agree with you, it makes it harder because you can only count the ones in the journal.

I agree, but we were striving for consistency and ease in scoring — look at the journal and count from the list.

37 fish: 37,000
25 plants: 25,000
6 recipes  6,000

68,000 total.  Not my best effort, but got thrown off when my game crashed and wouldn't load for anything.

Hi all,

Some fantastic scores posted, well done.  I don't have all the extension packs, but even so I know I could've done better, if I'd done some things differently.  However, my score is satisfactory, with a note to self to practise more and get better !

32 fish = 32,000
18 recipes = 18,000
13 plants = 13,000

Giving a total score of 63,000.

Perhaps Mr Fish and Ms Dish can have some time off for good behaviour now and get married finally.  It's been a long engagement, maybe they can start practising making babies ;)

Just a friendly reminder: eggplants, lemons, and oranges are all banned store items.

Nutella, do you mind clarifying this? Are they banned because they are Sims 3 store content or are you referring to the grocery store in the game? I didn't want to accidentally do something wrong. :)

They are banned because those are sims 3 store paid content.  These 3 items will show up in your grocery store if you have Al Fresco Street Market, which cost 1900 sim points.  Anything that requires sim points is banned for challenges, sorry.

Siblings Fish and Plant Lover have had a hard few weeks, but together they managed to do surprisingly well.

Fish: 38 x 1000 = 38,000
Plants: 50 x 1000 = 50,000
Meals: 52 x 1000 = 52,000
Total: 140,000

Thanks Nutella! I don't use Sim points to buy store content, so that's why I wasn't sure what you were talking about. Thankfully, that means that I didn't accidentally break a rule.

Bert and Mary Poppins sweated away to be "Practically Perfect":
Perfect Recipes: 55 x 1000 = 55,000
Perfect Fish: 37 x 1000 = 37,000
Perfect Plants: 54 x 1000 = 54,000
TOTAL = 146,000

Mr and Ms. Perfectionist did a decent job of this - I do wish I had a certain EP though :-\

Perfect Plants: 60
Perfect Recipes: 60
Perfect Fish: 40

Total Score = (60 + 60 + 40) * 1000
= 160,000
