Baby Born Without Labor
« on: November 17, 2009, 02:28:40 PM »
I just had an interesting labor experience for one of my Sims.  She was playing chess with her sister-in-law when I got the notice that the baby's coming.  When I clicked over to her, she was just sitting at the chess table calmly playing.  Neither of them stopped or did the freak out thing.  On and on it went, just playing chess.  They I saw the icon that she was actually having the baby.  Still playing chess.  (Note here that I had directed both of them to play chess and Sims don't stop what their doing in that situation until you tell them to.)  When I finally released her from chess, she stood up, had one labor pain, and then the baby was there!  Very painless and easy!  And funny!!

Ha! That's great. And obviously a new feature of the expansion. Definitely an improvement of the grunting and groaning for a couple Sim hours in vanilla.

Well, actually no.  It was in my vanilla game before loading the expansion.  I think it was almost a glitch because I don't think the game would take out something as important as labor.  I'm going to test it again, for sure, next time there's a baby coming!

I had something similar happen.....my sim was upgrading the sink in the bathroom when she had her baby! LOL

Another thing I noticed.....once when my sim had a baby and they rushed to the hospital in their car.....they came back home in a taxi and they no longer had a car!

Check both of their inventories for the car.  Hopefully, you'll find it.

Eep! That would be so weird! I want it to happen to mine. Lol, be funny if there was a new expanision where you could bungy jump. *falls* "AHHHHHHHH" - Your sim is in labor. "AHHHHHH"

Lol, that baby would have to be a daredevil. :)

I just thought about that car thing. I'm on my fourth generation in my legacy, yet I've never bought a car. Hm... I'll be sure to get one soon!

Pam I did look in their inventories and their car was just gone. I guess it got stolen while they were at the hospital. LOL I ended up having to buy them a new one.

Must have been a C-Section.  Does she have a new scar she didn't have before?

Lol.  No, she was perfectly fine.
