I resurrected an old game where I have a fairy who is an entertainer, (who never seems to get her Simport points finished after coming back!), at the highest level and has supermaxed several skills.  I sent her into the future leaving her time travel daughter and roommates behind.  You know how weird it looks to see a fairy, who can fly anyway, with a jet pack on?  So I was wondering if anyone else has sent a supernatural or merperson into the future and what the results/effects/affects were?  So far my fairy has met her descendants, (3 of them and very wealthy), is starting to gain tech skills and is now ready to go to the statue park.  I'm just wondering how her skills would change or affect the world.  Can you garden there?  Can you repair/improve things?  What about performing and Simporting?  How about making elixirs?

EDIT:  WAY COOL!  I just ran into my roommates descendants at the cafeteria.  There were 7 of them!  I had no clue they would be there since I'd left the ancestors back in SV.

I've sent witches to the future, with no noticeable effect. Gardening shouldn't be an issue, nor handiness, nor alchemy. I don't know about simporting as I've never used that feature.

Every time you make a change to the present, the descendants will also be affected. It's really fascinating. :)

So far no change to the future.  My Sim did all the different things Emit wanted her to do, gathered a ton of crystal flowers and had a good time.  Back home her daughter, who I think will easily get the philanthropist statue, was working out and about to go give a check to the school, her science oriented roommate was doing experiments to gain skill level and the spouse of that one just supermaxed gardening and was working out.  I had planned on all of them supermaxing every skill in my original gameplay with them but now I'm not too sure.

I can see where a witch would not be much different, however the fairy with a jet pack was just ridiculous.  Yes, it can get you to SOME places faster but since I've been using tce so she can teleport, it really isn't worth the bother except for gaining skill.  I was disappointed when the dream she had about Sims4 was basically a few icons and a statement saying she dreamed about it.  I was hoping for a cut scene kind of thing, like a video or something.

Has your witch thrown any elixirs at anyone in the future?  Has she been able to establish a residence and make more?  What about availability of ingredients?  I've seen some animals but the only bug so far, other than the ones you feed the holo pet thing, is a cockroach.  Not much in the way of edible plants either and the fish are just the same as anywhere else so far.

I must say it makes it hard to go back to Sunset Valley after this!

I honestly haven't looked yet, but I'll try to do so tonight and get back to you (provided no one else beats me to it)!

My fairy, her daughter and her roommates are all in Utopia now.  It was difficult at first to get her to use dew on herself and I thought it was because she was a fairy.  Then I upped her level of technology and voila!  They now live in the huge house, is it called the Campus?, which I'm redecorating some.  I've put in a "regular" garden with the greenhouse thing outside and am trying to figure out how to add a "work room" where they can make elixirs and do the inventing and sculpting stuff.  I wish there were futuristic models of the sculpting station and workbench!  So far it's pretty much the same kind of game play with this group, just in a prettier setting.  It's almost too sweet for me.

It would be interesting to see how a mermaid would survive here, IF they would.  There are plenty of places for them to get wet and swim but would it be the same, have the same effect on them?  I tried placing a lot in the water in Utopia but no go so no houseboats, at least not in the city center.  The derelict houseboats make me sad.  I want to fix them all!  Maybe I'll send my merfamily there next and see what happens.

@Joriah:

Were the descendants of your fairy also fairies or were they normal Sims?

Unfortunately, they were normal Sims and looked nothing like my two fairies, (mother and time travel machine daughter).  Both my ladies were athletic looking and a little more filled out than most Sims but the descendants were quite stocky and not at all athletic looking.  Facial features weren't close either.

The roommates descendants, however, looked a great deal like Holly Berry and Nicholas Pere-Noel with one of them, (there were seven descendants), carrying the white hair.  Except for the two adults, the family was quite trim and even the adults were more slender than the fairy descendants.  The Pere-Noels are currently expecting their first nooboo in Utopia.  It all started here:

There was some confusion over who slept on which side of the bed so they were in and out of it a couple of times before they settled down for some "Make a baby".  Got the chimes right off!

Fairy revenge in ITF Utopia
« Reply #7 on: December 08, 2013, 03:28:31 PM »
Everyone should know you don't mess with the fae.  Our idea of little Tinkerbells let's us see past her jealousy and mean pranks and her bad temper.  The fairy folk just are NOT always nice.  Here's what happens when you mess with a fairy in Utopia.

Bot friend throws dew on fairy, bad enough.....but LAUGHS at her?  Oh no!  Not forgiveable!  Even if she was cute in pink.

Sooooo, Rosamunda throws a fairy spell at him.  Hot head!

Who's laughing now?

He was a bit annoyed to say the least!

So, she fairy pestered him and it was all right again!

Bots are totally amazed and charmed by fairy pestering and this one was relaxed enough he let her alter his chips.  She was still in revenge mode so she gave him an afraid of humans chip.  The result after he saw her?

This all came about because I was curious as to what a fairy, or other supernaturals could do in the future.  This was such a golden opportunity that came along I couldn't resist.  Next will be a test of elixirs once I can get them made.

I'd really like to know and see what other supernaturals might do in ITF!  Anyone got a mermaid or werewolf there?  Vampire action vs bots?

I'm sorry, Joria, I know I said I would test some stuff for you, but then I got sick and stayed in bed instead. :(

I will get to it just as soon as I can reasonably sit at my home computer longer than 10 minutes.

Just get well soon, Shirin and don't worry about a thing.  Hope you feel better soon.  Huggies.

I had a family of witches that I sent to the future (although the dad was a vampire). I ended up with 3 witches and 4 humans as descendants.

I also noticed some similar traits with the descendants, which was fun, too. :)

My roommates had their nooboos.  TWINS!  I've never dealt with twins before and I must say it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be thanks to having made a nanny bot.  Scary thing!  If I was a nooboo I'd have nightmares.  Anyway, they aged up into adorable little girls who learned to walk and talk in no time.  I sent them back home because learning all the ins and outs of ITF with such a large group was just too nerve wracking and really, not as much fun.  It did make me understand why the fairies had only 3 descendants and the roomies had seven!
I thought the kids had to be children before they could time travel but they came through as toddlers just fine.

I placed Aleister's Elixir shop in ITF for my fairy.  Don't bother.  While the register is there and there is an attendant every time I tried to buy it would drop from the queue.  I don't think you can use it there.  If anyone else has tried this I'd like to know your results.

I also married a future Sim but he does not show up in my icons nor will he move in with my Sim.  Sounds like a quickie divorce to me!

Well, I discovered you could use conversion spells on nanites. I got a rhino beetle out of my one attempt, which is definitely not a fair trade - even for a common nanite.
A 1920s era house needing heat, AC, new floors, new drywall on the walls and ceilings, new bathroom fixtures, new kitchen cabinets, new water heaters.... The roof is sound, but why didn't I just buy an empty lot?
