Wow so much has happened since I last checked in. :P

First off, I can't wait to see the nooboo that has joined Gabriel! I hope it's an alien baby. It's amazing how little the house came to when Gabriel sold it, but the new house looks really nice. I really like the recolouring you've done of it, looks lovely and bright and just fitting for an Angel. :)

Can't wait to see what else Gabriel gets up to.
From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I've been told what I must do and who I must be. I've been shrunk, stretched, scratched and stuffed into a teapot. I've been accused of being Alice, and of not being Alice, but this is my dream. I'll decide where it goes from here.

On Sunday morning (after yet another party, this time at Hyun's), I suddenly get the urge to go fishing. I pick up the skill before heading home for some sleep, food... and my last ice sculpture. I know this sculpture is the most important one yet. As soon as it is finished, my ice sculptures no longer melt, so from now on, I will have to head back over to the consignment store on a regular base, if I want to max out my career.

While looking for more stars to name after my own kind, I see a giant meteorite fall into Midnight Hollow. Of course, I immediately go out to pick it up. After analyzing the gigantic space rock, which is nearly as big as I am, I find it doesn't contain anything dangerous to Sim-life, so I decide to sell it to the science station for further investigation. I also sell a Plasma Bug I have managed to make from a cockroach...

I also managed to make a Forbidden Fruit seed... but unlike the real Sims, I know very well why this is a Forbidden Fruit. "Don't eat that, Gabriel!" Mother's voice sounds stronger than ever. "I wasn't planning to, Mother. I have no intention of harming my own immortality." A soft breeze ruffles through my hair... and after a few seconds of silence, Her voice adds: "You can plant it, as soon as you're ready to receive Lucifer. It will give you some help in your future garden."

One of the kids in the neighbourhood asks for three better than average products... and I manage to get enough due to my science skill. When I deliver them, she starts doing her homework, so I decide to help her out a little, right up until zombies start roaming the streets.

For the first time ever, Roderick Synapse (the evil friend of Hyun's) invites me to his party. Since it is Snow Day, I can hardly refuse his efforts. Of course I attend! Once there, we both prove our opposite personalities don't need to make us sworn enemies. Roderick and I leave each other on very friendly terms. It's odd to realize one of my best friends is actually evil, but we've found out that as long as both sides are willing to act civil, even that isn't a problem. I hope this means befriending my twin brother won't be an issue either.

After upgrading Harlan Smiley's stereo, I reach my tinkerer's challenge, but... it's hard to give the thing back to its owner. Harlan just doesn't care enough to stop singing. In the end, I manage, right before he tells me he's going home. Too bad, I would have befriended him if I had been given half a chance.

New discoveries: Seraphiel, Raziel, Zachariel, Jibril (because... Gabriel would be odd), Cassiel

Commentary
Letting Gabriel decide which skill to level isn't working out very well. He has a tendency to learn new things all the time.

Befriending evil Roderick wasn't even hard to do... Of course, their characters aren't complete opposites for the rest, which may make his interaction with Lucifer that much more difficult.

In this one week, Gabriel actually saw three meteors fall. The other two were large ones.

The nooboo only appears in chapter 25, so there's a bit of a wait still XD. I really did get tired of waiting for those pesky aliens to abduct him... and so did Gabriel.
The first 'upgrade' of each house is simply a recolouring to Gabriel's lighter colour scheme, as well as making room/adding of any furniture he brings along :).

Ahh that's a shame to hear about the Aliens. But do I sense a Plant Sim Nooboo? That would be pretty cool as well.

it's good to change everything to make it lighter, although to me it doesn't seem to need any furniture upgrades. :P Once you have the not-so-routine machine and all Gabriel's skilling objects I can't imagine anything else you would need. Although you probably have to re-model just to make room for all the new objects!

The 'furniture upgrade' is really just the not-so-routine machine and skill objects, but... in the case of "the advanced technology" those skill objects are really furniture ;). Oh. And a fridge-upgrade. Can't have him eat out of a cheap fridge.

By now, Gabriel has about 11 Forbidden Fruit seeds... so I think there has to be something for him to do with those. Though I'm really not revealing what kind of a child he has ;). There are so many possibilities for a non-woohoo sim-baby these days. Some skill-related (Logic, Science, Gardening, Inventing come to mind), some not so much (Grim's Door). So there were enough alternatives for Gabriel... even after getting tired of collecting space rocks all day long (with some stargazing at night, for good measure, of course).

Re: To Raise The Devil (19) A demonic visit
« Reply #65 on: January 10, 2014, 09:33:55 AM »

Once spring is in the air, I give in and fence of part of my yard for a garden. I... kind of lost quite a lot of vegetables with my experiments, so I'm missing several seeds that I did have in my university garden.

On Tuesday, I notice the first demonic presence... the little guy begs me to keep him with me, as he is tired of spending his life in hell, and I can't refuse. He promises not to cause too much of a fuss and leave everything in its current state. Maybe Lucifer will feel more at home if there are more of these around.

I've found my first 25 celestial objects, but... I still don't know where the alien came from. I go around town to collect some more gems, rocks and metals to analyse for a while, hoping to increase my Science skill more. I'm already able to collect human DNA, but I haven't been back to visit Hyun or Grim yet.

However, I get a phone call asking me to play my guitar in France... and I accept. I think it's time to see more of the world. I've never been abroad the last time I came to Sim world and I'm mighty curious about the other countries. Now that I have been given an excuse, I pack everything up to leave. "While you're there, you may want to pick up the necessities for Nectarmaking... and a few extra seeds," Mother whispers. "After all, you're not learning the skill from a multitab this time around, remember!"
"Yes mother." I'm actually looking forward to that... It seemed like such an interesting skill last time, but... reading about it is not the same thing as actually practising it, I'm sure.

Even after reaching the 25th celestial discovery, Gabriel keeps throwing wishes to find more stars.

Once he maxes out his third skill (and reaches his lifetime wish), I think I will have to force him to work on his other requirements. At least he sometimes starts a sculpture when he isn't doing anything. Of course, I don't mind any wishes that have to do with logic at the moment, as I'm still hoping to get him abducted. If he manages to max out his career before getting pregnant, he'll just have to start collecting space rocks the entire day.

The gnome (and his future friends) do have a habit of lying right where Gabriel needs to be... so he doesn't really keep his promise ;).

The opportunity for France has been in his list for a while, but considering it's one for his guitar skill, I don't want to cancel it, even though I'm a bit worried about travelling. I've never really had a problem with it so far (my game usually had issues with Pets, not World Adventures), but that doesn't mean it won't ever happen to me, right?

On arrival, I meet with the general store manager, Manon Godard. We become best friends easily, as we share some qualities. She sells me the necessary equipment for adventuring, though... I doubt I'll be doing a lot of that, considering I'm here to play the guitar, but you never know, right? I also buy a chest to keep some things in that I don't want to loose (or use up). I take her DNA sample with me, just in case I'll ever have use of it, play some guitar in the hope of tipping customers until I'm too hungry (and tired) to keep that up.

I hope I'll have more luck in the coming days...

The next day, I visit the nectary and follow Mother's advice. Since my newest friend, Berthe Girard (the nectar merchant) tells me the nectary will be the hottest spot in France tonight, I hope to be more lucky over here... but if this is the hot-spot of the day in France, I wonder how quiet the rest of the country is. Because everyone seems rather more interested in a wall, I decide to inspect it, just to make sure they stop pointing at it.

The last day of my stay in France, I try the park... but the only ones interested are paparazzi. Even so, I don't give up... until zombies start prowling the streets of Champs Les Sims. They leave me in peace, however, just walking past without paying me any attention. I guess my guitar skill may be a little too low for these people.

Commentary
After he arrives in France, the wishes to max both science and cooking pop up.
And what do you think he wants to do the moment he meets someone in France? Sculpt them, of course .. Can't you wish for that back in Midnight Hollow?
It was kind of funny to see the zombies attack everyone else out and just ignore Gabriel, who was playing as if his life depended on it. I think I'm going to abort that opportunity after all, so he'll have the slot available for other skill opportunities.

I'm quite happy to be back in my own dream pod at home. The beds in France weren't nearly up to this standard... and I have work to do, so I need all the rest I can get during those times when I'm asleep.

My first demon has brought a friend of his own... or maybe they breed?

Grim, though he doesn't mind me promoting the restaurant in town to him, doesn't care for his DNA to be taken. I suppose he has a point, considering he is a true immortal, like me. I apologize for trying - twice. I guess I'll have to stick to my actual sim-friends. It takes a lot of time, because none of them are home often.

Phineas Bledsoe... who is actually home when I come calling.

Todd Landgraab... who comes for an unexpected visit one night.

Hyun... (who only comes for a visit to get his DNA taken... and still thinks it is a legendary group outing!)

Quite a few of my friends seem to share Grim's thoughts on the matter however, and no matter how I try to convince them, they won't let me take their samples. Of course, the rumours the paparazzi have been spreading about me aren't helping either.

In between gathering the DNA of Midnight Hollow, I keep my garden going...

Take samples of just about anything in my inventory...

Start cloning from those very samples.

Smelt the gems I've found...

Cook - and eat - lots of Autumn Salads...

And dream a lot of different dreams (again)...

I also go out of my way to find some more gems to get samples off... and find quite a few extra space rocks. My experiments have now given me four forbidden fruits. This is a bit worrying, because it doesn't seem to be too hard to make those... I think Mother should make it more difficult for Sims to receive those.

After analysing some more results of my garden, I max out my Science Skill! I feel very fulfilled now, because, with that, I achieve my lifetime wish! This means I'm now one step closer to having Lucifer come over!

"Yes, Gabriel dear, you are. But you've been neglecting your other requirements for quite some time now. I suggest you concentrate on your career now." I sigh... but don't contradict Mother. After all, She is right, as always. I've been having too much fun with my various skills again and completely forgot this challenge isn't just about maxing out different skills.

I'm thinking of moving to a bigger house again, since I now have several items that just don't fit this one any more. For now though, I have everything I need to max out my career right here, and I set to with a vengeance. It's not really that long any more, as I'm sure I'm close to being promoted again. Only one level and a little bit to go.

Odd as it may seem, my second topiary is also my second masterpiece. I'm still keeping those around for the actual mansion, though I know Masterpieces sell for quite a bit of simoleons. The third one, however, is only brilliant, so I will take that one over to the consignment store soon. Number 4... is another masterpiece. I'm only missing the Dragon Dougherty masterpiece, but that will have to wait, as I'm also trying to supermax the skill while I'm at it.

With a second sculpting station upstairs, I manage to speed up production a bit, only taking breaks when I really have to.

Demon three... possesses the stone I was working on! Another one I can't sell.

My agent has called me... he wants me to work out again. I have accepted his plea, but told him it might take a while longer this time, even though I now own my own equipment. Meanwhile, autumn has come again. It won't be long now before my garden no longer needs my attention on a daily basis. I'm not planting anything any more at the moment.

After adding a shower to my first floor, I start my metal sculptures. I actually finished my first one without needing it, but... I did put myself on fire during the second. I also made a fourth masterpiece, which will be sold at the consignment store.

Another party at Hyun's doesn't give any new DNA samples... or friends, but I got to know one more person.

I bought myself a car... with some work, for those times I really don't want to sculpt. After bed, I will be going to the consignment store though. I wonder whether the sculptures I have to sell will be enough to tip the balance...

He only had one dream left that he hadn't dreamt by Saturday: the opposing personality... Gabriel even threw a wish for that particular wish, but, since I wasn't too sure whether it would be one day or forever (at least until he could get a midlife crisis), I saved first ..

Photobucket issues... I could post the next chapter(s), but I can't link the images right now <.<. (It loads the gallery, but not the individual pics) It's been doing that for a while. I'll try again later <.<.

If you would like me to post the chapters regardless of the pics, let me know, though... it would be odd to do so.

((And... I should have complained earlier... It seems to be working again.))

******
After my sculptures sold out at the consignment store, I still had quite a way to go for my maxing the career, but I really felt like finishing this up now. One more metal statue, and my sculpting would be complete as well. I decided to lay off sleeping for a while, taking my new sculptures over to the consignment store instead.

After hanging this year's Christmas lights, I noticed my family had send me a little thing in the mail... I just had to put it on, considering the note said they'd all worked on finishing it in time for the holiday down on Sim world.

I finished my sculpting challenges, got rid of the cheap shower... and started sculpting nothing but Dragon Dougherties until I maxed my career on top. I complete my collection of Masterpiece Topiaries with the first one out.

Once I get that last level done, I... only have one part for my initial challenge left. Before I can move to a large lot and build the mansion: I will have to get a child. Mother's made it perfectly clear that I am not to woohoo with a sim, as a union like that can never work out and will most likely result in the death of the mother... and the birth of a devil... but Hyun has told me of other possibilities. If I can just find the aliens, I'm sure I can convince them to plant one of their "life seeds" inside of me,  so I can give birth to a baby sim myself. I just need to draw their attention.

As soon as I max out my career, I will fill my days searching for more parts of their planet. Maybe that way, I will make them curious enough about me to pick me up in one of their vessels. I figure, if I jog from one rock to another, I'll finally give my agent what he wants... and get closer to maxing out my athletics at the same time.

I manage to max out my career on Tuesday evening... and take off to search for rocks already. I wonder how long it will take for the aliens to realize I'm collecting part of their planet... I found plenty of gems and metals, but had no real luck with space rocks. Maybe I should go use the telescope again, to find falling meteors. It was also extremely cold outside, with snow falling all day long.
