These Borealis genetics are fantastic! Every heir, thus far, has had a unique, beautiful blend of their parents' features. It's really cool how this challenge makes it easier to keep mixing original townie genetics into the family bloodline. Keep up the great work!

Thanks! I work really hard on these genetics, I think I could zip through this challenge a lot faster than I do if I didn't put so much effort into getting interesting genetics in my family line ;)

I must say that I enjoy the rules where you are free to use both elixirs and moving people in/out of the household. It leaves me free to befriend, invite, match make and try for baby before moving the sims out. I don't tend to use elixirs with my heir and in family born sims because I think it's a bit easy, but with my genetic experiment on the side I enjoy the game immensely. I haven't had anyone use alchemy yet, my plan is for my next moving heir to do that, so I can have an unlimited supply of useful elixirs in the next town. I also love the longer lifespans of supernatural sims such as vampires and faeries because it makes it a lot easier to keep them around longer. A great way to make sure the sims are pregnant before moving them out is to have a styling station on the home lot, pregnant sims can't be given makeovers so it works as a pregnancy test even for sims who aren't in the family.

Another thing I have been enjoying with this dynasty is creating my family echo family-tree. Lucky Palms was a bit of a learning curve, but I think that Aurora Skies is where I have honed my technique. I got the idea from Ausette when she did her own "story progression" in her Random Town Jump and I think the results so far are great.

Due to corruption of game files I will have to send this to the grave yard. It's really disappointing as I had already managed to get heir 6 halfway done. Once again it was the traveling that did me in. I should have known better and made sure all traveling was done in the first town - guess you never learn...

Argh, traveling is the bane of any dynasty's existence, I swear. :( Sorry to see this go. It was quite an enjoyable tale from the beginning!

I think I might try it again, I just need some time to get over the disappointment.

I know that feeling of disappointment, sad to hear about the corruption. I do hope your next attempt goes well and hopefully gets either across the finish line or at least further than you got this time.
I will be reading your story once you start it again.

I do wonder if you will use the same starting couple or will you use another couple?

I haven't decided yet. In one way I really would like Emelie to get her own Dynasty, in another way I would like to continue Sonja's story because I like her very much. All I do know for sure is that when I start over I won't start playing in Lucky Palms, I want it to be a fresh start.

Ah yes, I understand that feeling as well, I'm also going to avoid the two towns from my previous attempt just in case for this one.

So sorry to hear about your problems.  Bugs are such a pain in these long games.  Good luck when/if you start again.

Thanks :) I'm taking a breather before starting again. I'm thinking about using another strategy, or maybe starting in the other end of my list, so I don't do the same things the second time around.

I'm sorry to hear of your problems with your game, saltpastillen.  Those game bugs can be so frustrating!  I'll move this to the graveyard as you requested, and I hope you'll have better luck next time.
