Did anyone hear of the couple in Thailand (I think ?) They got so involved in raising their virtual baby at an internet cafe that their own baby died. No I haven't lost touch with reality that much.
That's awful! I hadn't heard of that! My goodness, I've said before I need to get a life, but wow I would never go that far! WOW!

Let's not get into the subject of that couple.  At this point, it's hearsay and it's not the topic of this thread or Forum.

I seem to have the opposite problem of most people here:  I'm the male who plays The Sims and can't get my girlfriend to try it.  ;)  She says she tried to play The Sims [1] back in the day and it drove her crazy.  Recently, I tried playing  The Sims also and I can see why she hated it!  I much prefer The Sims 3...

Actually, to be fair, she did try The Sims 3 briefly, but it was mainly just because she wanted to see what my Sim version of her looked like. ;)  She really only likes games with very simple interfaces and TS3 annoyed her because of the need to control the camera, etc...

I have the same problem here, the only guy that plays.  I have attempted getting others to play but the only person in my family that has taken to it is my daughter, and she spends most of her time in front of the mirror redesigning her sims.

Like many of you I am also and MMO nut, started playing with UO (Ultima Online) tried Everquest2 (but couldnt figure stuff out and got tired quick) then I learned of WOW...been there ever since with my Sims being a background game.... Sims3 has seriously raised the bar on playability in the franchise and am addicted!
