My vote is for Eliza too.

I have put basements under existing houses.  I haven't done it lately so I am trying to remember.  I know you have to remove a few floor squares before doing it and then you drop down and make the basement and then add the stairs where you have removed the floor tiles.  I like to make nectar so I tend to like to have a basement and going outside to get there was annoying.  One house in the game has a basement where you have two front doors outside next to each other, one to get into the house and one to go down to the basement.  From the outside it looks really nice and part of the house.

Thanks for the basement building tips.  I'm ok with having the stairway outside though, the only thing that's going to be down there is the museum so chances are they won't have any reason to go down there except for the group shot at the end.

I've got a couple surprises today for you guys!  Hee hee!

First up, Alpha aged up to Elder, no surprise there!

And so did Amy.

Her Elder attire isn't nearly as interesting, although she seems to have kept some of her signature accessories, just enough to look like a total nutjob.

I've thought about changing her clothes, but why mess with perfection?

And then came the day we've all been waiting for, Beta's Birthday!

And thank goodness, he's much more handsome as an adult than he was as a teen!

The next day after the party, Alpha was able to cook a few more meals to fulfill his last cooking skill challenge, so it was time to make the Ambrossia!

My first Immortal!  How exciting!

Next up, I went to call Eliza to get her hooked up with Beta... only to discover that she's an ADULT!  Thankfully I had one other option, Mindy Medley.  She's an excitable, dare devil, handy, couch potato, who also happens to be a great kisser.

The funny part about this encounter with Mindy, Alpha and Amy just would not leave her alone!  Every time Beta tried to talk to her his parents kept butting in on the conversation!

Beta took this as a good sign, if his parents like her that much, then maybe she wasn't so bad after all.

So he decided to pop the question!

And she said yes, of course. :)

Then Beta too

k a look at his room, with his single bed from the junkyard.  This just wouldn't work at all!  What would Mindy think about sleeping in a junk yard bed?  So he decided to spend some of the precious funds on a new bed for two.

All the while, Mindy was getting friendly with her new soon-to-be in-laws.  "You know how to make dim-sum?!  That's awesome!"

And since Beta is a bit of a loner, they decided to have a private wedding.

And whaddya know?  Mindy's 6 days away from becoming an Adult!  Dang it!  Oh well, guess we better just hurry up and make an heir.  No time like the present.

And hey!  Check it out, we have matching sleepwear!  See, I told you it was meant to be!   :D

Great story, Aria. Keep it coming. Did that last update exceed the 5 screenshot per post cap? I lost count.  :D   ;)

LOL!  Oh oops, I thought the 5 screenshot rule was only for certain threads.

Maybe I need to go read the forum rules again.

Ha ha. Maybe it is only intended for threads like the weird screenshots or building contests threads. Not 100% sure myself. Pam can clarify since she wrote that forum rule.

Seeing Amy as an elder broke my heart! Did you save her outfits so she can wear them as an elder?

When I see that blue skin, all I can think is how on earth do you choose colors for their clothes? All the usual skin tone wisdom goes right out the window!

Nope, I didn't save her outfits, I don't even know how to do that nor did I even think to try!

I think that reds and greens look good against the blue skin, but neutral colors seem to work pretty well too.  The only color of clothing that does NOT work is blue.  lol

I'm not going to worry about the screenshots for Dynasty stories, especially after all the madness about third party CC.  If everyone's having fun posting screenshots of Dynasties, that's the important thing.  :)

Thanks, Pam.  It's actually a lot less time consuming for me to post a bunch of screen shots with captions rather than come up with creative writing.  I love to write, but I usually only have about 10 minutes to dedicate to this!  Potty training is going on at my house at the moment.   ;)

Anyway, on with the story!

It came as no surprise to Alpha and Amy that soon Mindi was expecting.

Beta was already a proud papa, and was hoping that this child would indeed live up to the family's expectations.  And by expectations, of course we mean BLUE!

During the pregnancy Beta and Amy painted like crazy.  Amy focused on portraits and sculptures of Beta, and Beta focused on honing his skills so that someday he could be the family's Master Artist.

Obviously, babies were on everyone's mind!

Finally the day arrived!  Mindi decided to go with a home birth, it's what all the cool mom's are doing.

And little Gamma Nesbit was born!

DOH!  SHE'S NOT BLUE!!!  Oh well, Beta seems to love her anyway.

So back to painting!  This time Beta decided to paint a portrait of his mother.  She was getting pretty old, and Beta knew that although he'd have his dad around for a while, his mom would soon not be around.

He hung the picture in his parent's room, so his dad would be able to have something to remember her by.

Coming up next, the raising of Gamma and the last days of Amy (Bull) Nesbit.

And be coming up next, I mean, RIGHT NOW! lol

The days flew, and Gamma was now a toddler.

At least she inherited the red hair.

Within moments of Gamma's birthday, Mindi had hers as well.

And since Beta has yet to master his ice sculpting abilities, Amy created Gamma's toddler sculpture.

Amy also worked on painting a portrait of Gamma.  Beta was having some difficulty getting the Master portrait that he wanted, so they both worked side by side.

Yup, Amy's is better.

She also took some time away from sculpting and painting to work on her guitar skills.  She was really hoping to master her music and complete her life time wish.

In the meantime, Alpha and Mindi helped Gamma learn all her toddler skills.  The family has decided that once Gamma becomes a child they'll all take a trip to Egypt.  Beta would love to get a nicer camera, and they have a feeling Gamma would like to learn how to fish.  Mindi has plans to read and relax, maybe work on her own book on her new laptop.  Amy, who knows she's reaching the end of her life, just wants to spend some time with her family and catch up on her guitar skill.  But she's 89 days old now, she knows she needs to go on vacation if she has any hope of completing her life time wish.

But unfortunately, just as Gamma aged up to a child...

Amy started to have this strange feeling, as if she couldn't hang onto this world any longer.

Alpha was devastated.

Beta tried to cheer up his dad, but nothing seemed to help.

After the funeral, Alpha made the executive decision to continue with their planned vacation.  It's what Amy would have wanted.  But when they reached their destination it was obvious what was on everyone's mind.

Next up, would the family recover enough to enjoy their time in Egypt?

Egypt or BUST!

The family has decided to pull themselves together and have a good time in Egypt, it's what Amy would have wanted.

Gamma has taken up fishing, and rolled the LTW of a Perfect Aquarium, which is simply perfect.

Beta bought a better camera and managed to raise his skill to level 10, and even got a few valuable photos of the pyramids.  Also many not-so-expensive photos of random locals.

Alpha and Beta also did some adventuring together.  Their biggest adventure was delving into the Great Sphinx and discovering the Soulpiece Statue so that Beta could take a picture of it.

They also used their time in Egypt for some good ol' family bonding.  By the time their vacation was over everyone was best friends with each other.

Towards the end of the trip, Alpha was getting a little bored at the base camp.  Beta was off taking pictures, Mindi was writing books on her laptop at the market, and Gamma was off fishing as usual.  So he decided, why not do some cooking with all this fresh produce in my pockets.

What?  No stove?  So all I can make is fruit parfait and autumn salad?  Well THAT sucks!

What's a 5-star chef to do?

So he decided to go visit some locals, maybe make some new friends or something.

Woah, this chick seems pretty friendly.

Maybe more than just friendly!  Hubba hubba!

But all good things must come to an end, and sooner or later you have to leave your vacation romance and go home.

And so they did.
