NOTE: This is my first attempt...I brought it over to this thread to keep the story together. (I made a new thread for the new story because I wanted room to put the table of contents and requirement progress).I thought I had it all as I was growing up. Anything I ever wanted was given to me. I had plenty of love, friends, and toys. But as I neared my teens, I noticed that my mother and father, both highly respected individuals of Sunset Valley, were spending A LOT of time behind closed doors in my father's office. At first I didn't think anything of it, but after awhile I started to grow suspicious.
On my birthday, making me a young adult, I decided that I was old enough to find out what it was that they were doing. My mom looked at my dad and said, “Well it is her birthday, and she is the one who is going to have to carry it all out.” I didn't quite know what to make of my mom's statement, but she told me that it would become clear after they told me the whole story.
Apparently, many years ago, my family was the only high-class family in Sunset Valley. Then one day another family moved into town, and they started getting richer and richer. The problem was that they were getting rich off of scamming others. The Alto Crime Family had moved in across the street, and they were up to no-good.
My parents were jealous that they were not the only rich family anymore, and they began spending time in the office and lab, experimenting with something that the Alto's would never obtain: Immortality.
My parents told me that I was the key to achieving immortality for our family. My brother, Malcolm was already too old, but I was the perfect age. There were many tasks that had to be completed by both me, and seven of my descendants. They told me that I would have it the hardest, as I would also have to obtain the ingredients for the illusive Immortality Ambrosia, as well as earn the right to eat it.
I figured “What the heck?” I haven't even thought about a career or university yet, so I might as well do this. Then my parents gave me the best news of all: I couldn't do this in Sunset Valley, as the Alto's would be watching our every move. I was going to get to do this from Isla Paradiso!
“But there are Alto's there! Won't they be watching me too?” I asked my mom.
“That Alto has enough on his plate, without worrying about you. Apparently, his mistress just had a baby, and his wife is not happy about it at all. No, I don't think you have to worry about him for awhile, but just to be sure, I have added a couple safeguards along the way to make sure.”
And with that, I headed off to pack for Isla Paradiso.
