So, how's Midnight going? ;)

Midnight's going slowly.  Now just waiting for Forest to reach his career goals.  He's at level 7 now.

Just think Pam. If midnight is going slowly for you and you know what it means, just think how it's going for us! We don't know what it means!  :( :(

I kinda don't want Midnight to happen, as I know it means the end of a fabulous Dynasty :'(
Pam, will you play/write another Dynasty (or if you're sick of Ambrosia, a Legacy) for us?
Please! ;D

After a consultation with Metro, I decided that there's no way Forest can reach level 10 in the Writing career in time.  Writing isn't something I've done a lot of in Sims 3 and I didn't plan it out well enough for him.  With only 9 days until aging to Elder, Forest is only at level 7.  So today he joined the Journalism career as a Paper Boy.  It will eat into his Elder stage, but he will definitely be able to reach level 10 before he dies.  I hope so, anyway.  Forest's life has always been challenging.  Wish him luck!

Yikes! Good thing there was a viable plan B. Good luck, Forest (and Pam)!

I've been playing around with the writing career while working on my strategy for the upcoming writing challenge. It appears that you don't get credit for the weekly royalty checks. That really puts a damper on that career but doesn't affect the challenge at all. In my dynasty I think I'll follow your lead and have my writer do journalism, also. Thanks for the tip.

I was planning on having my writer in journalism, and so this confirms it. Yikes! I hope Forest can make it!

Yes, it's true that the weekly royalty checks do not count toward the Writing career.  Only the money earned while actually writing the book is counted.

That really sucks, Pam.  I know Forest will make it in Journalism though.  However, you didn't answer the question of whether or not you'll do another story.......rabid readers want to know. lol   My Sim, who was SUPPOSED to become a writer, (and then decided she'd rather be a musician), started writing as soon as she was a child and had three books under her belt before she became a teen.  Then decided on music!  I guess you do have to start that young to make it, huh?
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Forest started writing as a child, but just didn't do well.  I could have done better with him if I had done a little more research and gotten him signed up sooner.  He missed getting a promotion on his first day by only a hair.

I'll probably write another story.  I don't know what it will be yet, though.  It was requested that I write a story with the SimBot hybrid, Uriah Dreamweaver, but I don't know if I can stand all the SimBot issues.  It's very frustrating the way other Sims react to a SimBot.  My next writing project will be the Mixologist LTW for the Guide.  I'm going to have Bubblegum go through that one if I can get it all worked out to where I can drop her into a fresh game.

Hey, Pam — did you try and sell Forest's finished books at the consignment store?
