Just wondering, Pam, with the color names (Banana, Indigo, ect) and the fact that your sims are dressed in that color, how to you find out their fave color when they born, so you know what to name them?

I'm not using their favorite colors.  I just pick a color I like and want to use.  The list of color names and hex codes that I'm using can be found here.

Dear Pam,

How do the hex codes work?  What are the three numbers for Banana and how did you get them from the hex codes chart you linked to.

Sorry if it's obvious and I missed it!

Cheers eucalpyt

By three numbers, do you mean the Red, Blue, and Green codes?  I don't have to use those because there's a spot for just the hex code when I'm recoloring the clothes for everyone.

Thaks Pam, that was helpful. Do you know if there are any benefits to using your sim's favorite color?

Thaks Pam, that was helpful. Do you know if there are any benfits to youing you sims fave color?

There was talk when Sims 3 first came out that if you put their favorite colors in the furnishings around them that they would get a boost to their mood.  However, I've never been able to prove it.  We have a thread where you can read more about it.

Oh no!  I really am not cut out for this kind of thing.  Now I'm all teary eyed over a Sim who isn't even one of my own!  Sweet rest pretty Indigo.  We are all going to miss you.

Poor Indigo, I was expecting her to live longer :(

Banana is cute, gentle little blond! But her name, hehehe it's funny, maybe more since it rimes with my name and kids used to tease me about it :D

I'll have an update soon, but in the meantime, I want to share this video of Oliver talking through a bear to Banana.

That's fantastic, Pam! How did you get Oliver to do that?

He had a bear in his inventory that he bought in Egypt.  Click the bear and select "Talk Through" and then choose the name of the Sim to talk to.  You can only talk to toddlers, children, and Sims with the Childish trait.

Yes.  Well, any bear.  I have the regular teddy bear, the valentine's bear, the mummy bear, and the panda bear.  I don't know of any other stuffed animals in the game.

There's a stuffed rabbit. I'll give that a try too. Thanks!

Soo cute! I knew that they can play that way with anyone, not just toddlers, but all that gigling is soo cute!
