I Can't Play Them

I saved my sims and went to go play a few hours later and everything kind of disappeared. There are no family funds, no pictures my sims, and I cant switch sims. I tried resetting them, but that didn't work. I tried starting sims over, but that didn't work either. I even cleaned my disc (which wasn't dirty and has no scratches). This happened to ALL my families. Can anyone please help me?

How many different files have this problem?  And how long have you been playing them?  What I'm trying to find out is whether you are a brand new player or a seasoned veteran.  It will help us determine which direction to look for an answer.

All of my files have this problem. I have been playing them since june. I have had this game since it came out and before that sims 2. I have expansion packs installed, but I haven't really had this problem before.

Hi there kaykay223.

I know it sounds silly, but have you accidentally pushed the Tab button? Tab removes the entire user interface, to make taking pictures easier. Press it again to bring it back. Sometimes the solution is the simplest one.

Failing that, perhaps try a Factory Reset. This allows you to create a brand new playing folder. Perhaps you're having an issue with Mods or Custom Content (CC), a Factory Reset can help to narrow your troubles down.

It's kind of like putting in a new house when there is nothing there, that's what it looks like, but wit my household. But thank you for the idea. I actually had no clue that you could do that lol. I have downloaded content, but i havent downloaded anything recently, so i didn't think of it being the core problem. To be honest, I don't really know what a mod is.

A mod is a game modification that's written by someone other than Electronic Arts.  Twallan is one of the most well known and respected modders, for example.  But if you don't know what a mod is, then it's not likely that you've installed one.

I made a new one but I wasn't quite sure what it would do. But it seems to be running normally. But none of the older ones are playable anymore. And i don't really want to lose them
