Weird Sim Pregnancy?

I have a Sim couple and I had them Try for Baby. I never got the twirl into new clothes or the announcement that she is pregnant, but the next time she changed outfits it was into a maternity outfit. She visibly pregnant and keeps throwing up, but never got the Pregnancy moodlet or ANY pregnancy related wishes. Is this some kind of bug?

It sounds like a bug to me. This happened in a story I read on here.. I think it was Mikayla in the Elysi Immortal Dynasty.

Well she did eventually have the baby! Fortunately I got the gender I wanted, because I was so confused about whether or not she was pregnant I forgot to feed her fruit! But she popped out a girl :) And then finally started getting baby related wishes. Weird!
