The Mason Random Town Jump

This is my third attempt at the Random Town Jump project, losing both previous families to technical issues. But this time shall be different! This time it's going to be backups galore! So maybe I'll actually manage to get through all 15 16 of my towns. Now that I have Roaring Heights the total number of towns is SIXTEEN!

I'm randomizing ALL traits for ALL nooboos born within the household. LTWs will be chosen from the 5 that come up or will be selected as a child or teen. Vampires, werewolves, fairies and genies can't be heirs but are fine within the house. Aliens and witches are fine as heirs, except babies that are the result of an abduction (though they are fine to live in the household). I may use Ausette's idea of populating the towns with potential spouses by planned townie pregnancies but not for my starting town.

Chapter 1 - Hello, Shimmering Starlight Shores!

Welcome to Starlight Shores! I haven't played this town in so long that I could hardly remember what it was called. I thought it was called Shimmering Shores for some reason. Maybe it's because I have a really terrible memory? Actually, it might be because I have a really terrible memory...

And now it's time to meet our family! On the right we have our founder, Sadie Mason, in the middle is Rich Richmond and on the left is Mercedes May.

Sadie's traits are Virtuoso, Family-Oriented, Good, Friendly and Star Quality. She's the nicey-nicey one and I think she's quite unique looking so Sadie will make a great founder! She is also a singer at level 5 so I can have some fun playing around with the singer career. Could come in useful *cough* 4 x 4 *cough*

This is her boyfriend, Rich Richmond. Mr and Mrs Richmond obviously weren't very creative. He's Athletic, a Hopeless Romantic, a great kisser, charismatic and lucky. He's a corporate drone in the business career. He's pretty boring and he's got weird ears. Sadie can do better!

Rich: Hey!

And finally meet Mercedes May. She's the mean one. Not only is she evil, she is also mean-spirited. And she's also a diva, a schmoozer and flirty. And the story gets a little added spice because she's a rival singer for Sadie AND she's romantically involved with Rich! As Sims 3 Wiki puts it, 'Mercedes is the archetypal backstabbing best friend'.

Mercedes: What does archetypal mean?

It means you're a typical example of that thing.

Mercedes: Oh, that's good. I thought it was something bad!

Sadie heads out to see if she can meet any eligible bachelors. Sure it would be easy just to use Rich but this Watcher does not do things the easy way! She overcomplicates things for herself and then gets herself confused and starts to talk about herself in third-person. But... yes.

She goes to the gym to find some attractive, athletic fellas. And as soon as she enters the building, somebody catches my eye.

His name is Javed Meir and Sadie is attracted to him! *happy dance*

He dashes off but Sadie manages to catch him up... in the middle of the road.

Meanwhile, it seems Rich and Mercedes are getting a little bit close. Guys, you're playing a very dangerous game here.

Mercedes: She'll never catch us! I'm the champion of sneaky affairs. Once I even managed to hide my lover in a shoebox...

Um, guys, I think you should watch out for that ice cream truck...

It's getting closer! Arggghh!

Oh. It disappeared.

After that terrifying experience, Sadie would have loved to go home and have a hot bath and a bowl of mac and cheese. However, that did not happen! It seems that Mercedes and Rich didn't have their whole affair very well planned...

Sadie: You're cheating on me! I can't believe this, Rich! Well, maybe I can believe it, but that doesn't excuse it!

Rich: Sadie I'm...
Sadie: Don't even try to apologise to me. I'm stuck with this stupid betrayal moodlet for 3 days now and it's all your fault!

Sadie: And you! You're so horrible, Mercedes! I let you into my house, I helped you launch your career and this is the thanks I get?

Mercedes: Why do you think it's such a big deal? I'm just having an affair with your boyfriend, that's all!

*facepalm* Oh Mercedes.

Rich: Do you forgive me, Sadie.
Sadie: No.
Rich: Oh well, it was worth a shot...

The next day Sadie breaks it off with Rich officially. To say that he doesn't seem bothered would be an understatement.

I am the only one who thinks that that face looks a little like the smoulder?

Okay, enough with the Tangled references!

Mercedes: Bleeeegh!

And I will leave the readers to ponder that image while I disappear into the realm of reality. Goodbye, but just for now. Mwhahaha.

Nothing like some drama to start the game, right?

I like Sadie. She was a vampire in my life states dynasty and my sims always ran into her, considering that she lasted almost for the entire game. I never took note of her and Mercedes' traits, but they remind me of Goodwin Goode and Sinbad Rotter in Twinbrook, and any pair that reminds me of those two has to be worth reading about!

Chapter 2 - A very awkward Sing-a-Gram

After that not-so-heartbreaking break up with Rich, Sadie heads out into town to Javed's house. Hmm, I wonder what she could be doing there...?

Sadie: Javed, have I ever told you how lovely your eyes are?

Javed: And Sadie, have I ever told you how... nice your skin is?

Sadie: Seriously, of all my features you pick my skin?

Javed: Erm... yes.

Sadie: Javed, there's something I've been meaning to do ever since I met you yesterday.

Javed: What's th--

And then Mercedes turns up to do a Sing-a-Gram. Um, like THAT isn't awkward!

Mercedes: *singing* ♪ ♫ ♩ Can you feel the love tonight, I've forgotten the rest of the words! All I know is that I'm suppose to slip your name in, to this song from Lion King!

Javed: Oh, wasn't that lovely? Wasn't it good, Sadie?

Sadie: No comment.

Mercedes: Urgh, where did these awful clothes come from? And why am I fat? Sadie this is all your fault! I bet you've done this as revenge!

Nope, Mercedes, you're just pregnant!

Mercedes: What?

You're going to have a BABY.

Mercedes: I knew that...

Sadie: Javed, I have a question for you. Will you marry me?

Javed: *squeals like a little girl*

Sadie: Let's get married now.

Javed: Shouldn't we wait until we can go somewhere more romantic? What about your dress? We need a cake!

Sadie: No, we're getting married NOW!

Javed: Yes, dear...

Javed: Ooh, nice bed.

Sadie: Yes, it's a nice bed.

Sadie: Come on, Javed, I'm not losing out to Mercedes again! I'm going to be a better mother than her!

Javed: Wait, what?!

Sadie: Bleeegh! Yes! Bleeegh! Beat... that... Mercedes! Bleegh!

Meanwhile, it seems that even though Mercedes is carrying his baby, she's not exactly being faithful to Rich...
