I love her makeover, Trident! She looks awesome with her new outfits. My favourites are her every day, formal and sleepwear!

Thank you both! It took me nearly 45 minutes to complete her makeover, but I love the way it turned out.

I'm sure that you're all very eager to hear what the kids have to say about anything and everything, but bear with me. I'm only narrating, like, two days, so calm down.

Yesterday morning, while Guillermo was watching 'Fishing Fracas', the snow day announcement came on. Wyatt promptly ran outside. Jesse tried to follow him, but I magicked his jacket. "Not so fast. You have a D, and your birthday's tomorrow."
"Hmph."

Wyatt had managed to build an igloo in preperation for when Jesse got done.

"S'not really that fun in here. Quite cold, actually."

Jayli spent the day either rearranging her room or sleeping, catching up on all the late nights from the past few years.

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to completely tutor Jesse. I ended up falling asleep on the floor. To both make up for it, and teach him a lesson about grades, (he and Jayli often discuss the merits of a University degree,) I kept him away from the cake until he was tutored up to an A. Wyatt turned into a teenager a full six hours ahead of him.

Quite unsurprisingly, Wyatt became Good. Jayli nearly dragged him to her styling station, eager to begin work on her lifetime wish of being a fashion phenomenon.

He-and later, Jesse-were not allowed to leave the skilling area until she was completely done with them. She paraded them around the living room at the end, to the amusement of myself, Guillermo, and Bonehilda.

"LLLlllllllladies and gentlesims! Horses and animated bones! Preeeesenting-two of the most stylish teenagers in Isla Paradiso! Possibly the universe!"
"What about the future?"
"Jess, shut up and model your hair."

"Everyday wear! I will accept compliments and accolades for both making and orange look good and somehow corectly pairing up neon colors."

"Formal wear! For those rare special occasions that almost never happen."

"Sleepwear! Or, a reason not to invite anyone over. Ever. Seriously guys, put some dang pants on."
"You're just jealous of my muscles."
You don't have muscles." Wyatt called from behind the station. "Can we come out now?"
"Yes, that was your cue."

"Athletic wear!Which I put literally no effort in to!"

"Uhh....what outfit are we on?"
"Swimwear!" Wyatt yelled. "Give me a second, these are hard to put on!"
"That's because they're backwards." Jesse informed him.
Jayli sighed. "Guys. Fashion show. At least pretend to be serious."

"Jess, stop blinking!"
"I was winking!"
"Well, knock it off!"
Wyatt snickered as he showed off his new outerwear but turned into a loud cough when Jayli glared at him.
Of course, that was what started me laughing.

While I was in hysterics, and Guillermo was trying not to follow my example, Jesse swung his arms around his two best friends. "Photobooth time!

Later, after I recovered, (possibly with some alchemical help), Wyatt gave a picture of the newly grown up Margarita.

The rest of the evening, I finally spent some time with my kid.
Actually, we mostly just played dominoes while Jayli painted his teen portrait.
It was.........different.

The next morning, a Saturday, Wyatt was outside with Margarita, finally starting to work on his supermax. Meanwhile, Jesse was cooking in the kitchen while Jayli had breakfast. There were two things that were odd about it.

The first was that when I approached, Jayli did not automatically get up an leave.

The second was that Jesse was actually cooking, instead of trying to burn something with the gas burners.

I sat down and begin t eat my breakfast while Jayli traced the rim of her glass.  Jesse shoved a plate of autumn salad into the fridge and cleared his throat. "Scuse me ladies, but I have just discovered that I am highly allergic to awkward situations." He dashed outside. (Notice all the synonyms for hyper. That boy has one of the most serious cases of ADHD I have ever seen.)

After a couple more minutes of awkward silence, Jayli finally spoke. "I have a really, really, really wierd idea that should be able to help both of us."

"But don't think that it means I like you or anything."

I gave her a wary look. "Trust me. You pranked my shower enough times for me to pick up on that."

Her idea ended up being genius. I needed somewhere to throw potions; she needed to work. Thus, Operation: Stylin' was born.

Oh yeah, and I aged up.

Jayli looks amazing. I also love the boys makeovers, though Jesse's isn't quite easy on my eyes lol.

Heh heh. I can totally see them arguing about which one is better looking. XD

I love Jayli's outdoorwear!

Thanks! I think that one and her everyday wear are my favorites, with her formal wear being a close second.

Testing, Testing, 1,2,3....Wyatt, Chapter Two: Dreams

Thanks! I wanted to show the makeovers at the same time without just putting in 'formal wear,' 'sleepwear,' etc. It turned out rater nicely.

Wyatt, Chapter Two: Dreams

This morning, I stumbled out of the bedroom and sat next to Jesse. I felt exhausted, even after 7 solid hours of sleep.

Jesse raised an eyebrow. "Dude, are you okay?"

I avoided looking at him. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just had some.....weird dreams."

Seriously weird to be exact.

It all started when I asked Jesse to help me ask Emily to the prom. He had sighed and looped an arm around my shoulders, gesturing with his other hand. "Wyatt, Wyatt, Wyatt. You poor, delusional wombat."
I laughed and shrugged his arm off. "Okay, what is it with you and wombats?"
"Wombats are the epitome of awesome. Don't forget that. " He stroked his non existent beard and had on his 'plotting' face.
"If you make me set something on fire-"
"No, no, she's not evil, that wouldn't impress her." He waved his hand. "Okay. I'll be you, and you be Emily. " Jesse cleared his throat and spoke in a ridiculous baritone. "Uh, hey Emily. I had a question to ask you."
I quirked an eyebrow, trying to keep from either laughing like an idiot, (it runs in the family,) or informing him that I don't sound like that.
Out of nowhere, Jesse produced a bouquet of flowers. "Would you like to go to prom with me?"

I giggled in a falsetto. "Oh, of course!"
And, clearly, Jayli choose that exact moment to walk by. "Um. Guys? Is there anything I should know about here?"

I blame that incident and the bad pancakes I ate for my freaky dream.

You have never-and I mean NEVER-had an out of place dream until you dream that you are a girl.

I can remember bits and pieces. Mostly I tried to black it out.

I remember a young genius, and a new home in Appaloosa Plains.

A little boy who's favorite thing to do was play chess with his mom.

There was also a young girl, I think. A carbon copy of her mother.

With her daddy's sense of style.

They lived on a newly built second floor.

It was......nice, though.

A bit exhausting, but nice.

I asked Mom about it. Not directly; I asked her if witches were more prone to odd dreams than humans were.
She actually looked up from her alchemy station. "Of course we are. See, all supernaturals have a sixth sense; it just manifests differently in each type. Werewolves can find things easily, physical or not; vampires are highly attuned to peoples emotions and feelings, and fairies can influence the earth. " She cracked her back. "We witches, though, walk the fine line between the super and the natural. As such, our dreams tend to act as temporary portals into alternate universes. Since we walk a fine line, we can see through other fine lines. " She stretched out her arms. "It's actually very interesting, and I would love to tell you more about it, but my vials of bliss are about to burn, so....."
My head felt stuffed and a bit fuzzy. "Oh. Right. Um, thanks Mom."
"No problem."

I went through the rest of the day with (thankfully) as little awkwardness as possible.

And, as a sort of tribute to this other universe, I put the flowers in my part of the museum.

I'm not entirely sure why.

Haha, I was laughing but glad to know that was a dream, if that’s true that would be a nightmare for him.

Looking at the first post and compare it to what you post now. I think you have an improvement in your story, Trident. This chapter, I don’t know why it looks like more serious and you consider about putting more about words and detail but it’s still has your charm, your jokes, which was totally different from the first impression that I saw your story as hilarious one.

Good job, Trident :)

Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!!!!

There's actually a reason for that-originally, I didn't have much of a plot, or a good feel for Peggy's character. The more I write for a character, the more I understand them, and the more serious the story becomes. It's not going to get dull and boring, but my future posts will not be as ADHD as they were in the beginning. Plus, I always planned for Wyatt to be much more down to earth than his flighty mother, and I'm glad to see that it worked out in the storytelling.  ;D

Jesse and Wyatt are so cute. What would Wyatt's female name have been though?

Wendy? Wylla?

I'm actually incredibly lazy, so I just left it at Wyatt. (Plus, it was funny to see the notice 'Wyatt is giving birth!') I like Wendy, though. If I ever mess with the very threads of reality again, I'll probably use that; there aren't a lot of good names that begin with 'W'.

And I know, right?!?! I think their photo booth pic is my new favorite screenshot.

Testing, Testing, 1,2,3....Jayli, Chapter Two: Spinning And Falling
« Reply #74 on: December 26, 2013, 03:55:26 PM »
You now those dreams where you go to school and there's a huge exam and you haven't studied?
Take the amount of stress that causes, and multiply it by a million. That's what getting married is like.

Especially my marriage.
But we'll get back to that, mostly because I'll forget everything if I don't say it now.

See, we had, like, 3 days straight of quiet peacefulness. And then a billion things started happening at once, all tumbling down like a waterfall, but perfectly fitting into place.

The first thing is that Wyatt and Jesse went to prom together. (And they won't tell me anything, despite multiple bribes.)

The second is that Guillermo got old.

He spends most of his time playing chess, watching TV, or being with Peggy; they both know he's getting closer to the end.

The third is that the entire family went to the festival for Love day, and I called up Chandell.

"You aged up!"
She grinned. "Uh huh! Yesterday, actually." I received a swift kiss. "I'm sorry about not returning your calls. I've been scuba diving." Her voice was deep and musical.
"It's fine, it's fine."
There was a moment of silence.
"Oh, yeah, do you wanna get married?"

The wedding was supposed to be that evening at Beryl Shores. I have hazy memories, almost like it happened more than once. In the first, Chandell died of hunger.

In the second, she never showed up again.

In the third, she left me at the altar.

Like, genuinely left me at the altar. We were standing there, and then suddenly she ran off.
That's the one that really happened.

I didn't cry, thank you. I just went numb. I remember Wyatt and Jesse trying to cheer me up, but their words sounded muffled and distorted.

I woke up still numb. I ate breakfast numb. I painted some stuff numb.

I opened the door to find her standing there-and began to thaw.

"I'm sorry. I am so, so sorry. Let's get married. Right now." She huffed. She was sweating, like she had run here all the way from her house.

Remember that wedding dress I was supposed to get married in?

Pajamas's can serve the same function.

"Stop blinking!"
"Sorry, sorry!"

Chandell Scott Manzano's new wardrobe.

Everyday:

I think she looks like an African princess.

Formal:

Sleepwear:
*innocent whistling*

Athletic:

Swimwear:

Outerwear:

We spent the rest of the day talking. Discussing. Planning.

I remember telling Jesse that my first kiss was like light and the feeling you get when you run from the cops.

This......this is like when you spin a billion times for the fun of it and then fall down. It's exciting and fun and stupid and crazy, because you now that you're going to get dizzy and then you'll have a headache, but you do it anyway, because it's fun to fall.

That's what being in love is like.
