Pre-order bonuses weirdness

So... More than a year ago, I purchased the pets expansion through origin. Nothing too unusual there, except that one day, the pet shop pre-order add-on showed up in my downloads on the launcher. Thing is, this was post-Seasons (I started playing prior to Generations's release, but I lost interest for a while and didn't pick the game up again for a while). Has anyone else had similar experiences with the Pre-order content, and if so, does anyone know why this occurs?

So, are you saying that you got the Pets pre-order bonus without actually pre-ordering the expansion?

Correct. I have no idea how it happened. Just wondering if anyone else had had this happen to them.

It hasn't happened to me and I don't recall it happening to others. Interesting glitch.

When you purchased Pets, was it the Limited Edition (which typically contains pre-order content) or the Normal Edition? I can still pick up Limited Editions for old games at my local shop, they just bought too much. Maybe Origin just did that, offered you the Limited Edition.
