Glitch (I think)
« on: November 10, 2013, 03:53:16 PM »
Hi,

I'm playing Sims 3 on PS3 and I have a question.

One of my families has a sim that went to the mausoleum and got stuck there.
It didn't enter the mausoleum and is standing just in front of it, but it isn't moving at all.
Canceling doesn't work at all since it just keeps standing there, even if it's entire energybar is drained.
It just won't move anymore.

Is there a way to fix this? Or is this a safefile to erase...?

Greetings

InfernalAngel

I haven't played the PS3, but if you know the Mailbox cheat (I think it was hold the cursor over the families mailbox, press L2 and then X, which brings up the cheat box). If you click the Reset Sim option, and choose the one that is stuck (from memory you get a list of all the sims in the family), this should reset them back to the house. I'm not sure, but possibly if you click L2 and X while on your sim, some options come up, but not sure if reset sim is one of those. Worth a try, anyway.

I'll give it a try, cheats are put into the ps3 game with a cheat llama but it's worth a try since it's not listed on the llama. Thanks :)

The mailbox has other kinds of cheats, like making needs static, making friends, also for setting career level.
I meant to say in my previous post, I hadn't played the PS3 version "for a while", I don't know where the rest of my sentence went. I recently changed to the PC version, so I get confused between the ps3 version and PC version, as they are quite different as far as cheats and fixing things etc.
Let me know if you get your Sim unstuck. Another thing I used to do on the PS3, was save often, and have two or three saved files of the same game, so at least if one glitched, I could go to another saved file and play that, even if that save was a sim day or two behind the glitched game. At least that way you don't lose everything from a glitched game (learnt that the hard way lol)
