Sim has bugged item in inventory

My sim has a stack of 3 Quartz in his inventory. The little arrow in the upper right corner is grey instead of blue. I cannot do anything with the items. I've tried dragging them to another sim, they won't drag. I can click on the arrow and see all 3 but can't do anything with 2 of them in the expanded view either. One of them is clickable. I was able to have him send it off to be cut, so now there are 2 that are still unclickable. I tried resetSim and it did not change the item problem. I tried giving them as a gift to another Sim but they don't show up in the list of items to give.

Any ideas?

I have had this happen to me as well. When I moved to a new town, it helped to unlock them. It might help you as well.

Hmm, well I do not know what to say jesirose. I hope the quartz are not so important to you.

I had this bug happened in my game. Most of the time, when a toddler age up with teddy bear in inventory, the teddy bear got stuck and will remain stuck until the sim dies. It also can't be interacted.

Oh I don't care about getting them back it just bugs me to have items stuck in his inventory, he has so much stuff in there already and now I have to have them stuck in there for 7 more generations.

No biggie though.

It's way more problematic that I can't get back from vacation
