Freezing at a Certain Time Every Sim Day

Every night at 12:59 am sim time, the game freezes. I've exited the game through ctrl-alt-delete and every time I open up my game it freezes at the same time. I cannot click on anything or move the screen but the plumbobs are still moving, as well as the Z's they get when they sleep. Nothing else is moving and I can't click on anything. Help please?

I know I've seen a thread for this somewhere but I couldn't find it, so if anyone knows which one it is, I'd love a link to it! Thanks.

Also, I tried clearing caches and I have a four mods; all from Nraas: Story Progression, Overwatch, Errortrap, and Saver. Although, I just installed these mods a few days ago and this is the first time I've played my game with them, and I had this problem before I installed them.

It's probably a spawner or relationship re-setting. It seems to me that you get a notification that someone is no longer a friend either at midnight or 1 a.m. Some spawners change around 3 am and others at 4 am, and these all can cause the game to freeze for a short time.

How long is a short time? I left the game open for about 10-15 minutes and nothing changed.

I use Overwatch, and it causes the game to freeze at 3 am while it clears out vehicles and stuck sims.

But usually only for a minute or two.

Try removing the mods and adding them back one at a time to see which one is the problem.

I tried ErrorWatch and thought it was more trouble than it was worth because it kept resetting my sims over and over.

I haven't used the other two mods you're using.

Hello! I know this is an old thread, but it it possible that having too many spawners in one town will make the game freeze like that? I h have been have the same problem and I have added extra spawners to my town. If I remove them can I fix the issue?

A few extra spawners shouldn't hurt the game much but a lot of them may.  Take a note of the time when the games freezes and compare those with the times that fish spawners activate or and harvestables grow in the early morning. 

My biggest problem at night is the unicorn which draws in the wild horses who then get stuck, especially at the Science Lab.  Also, look out for the NPC entertainers, magicians, singers, acrobats etc., who can mess up a game pretty fast.  Some nights I simply have no choice but to resetsim around 4:00 A.M.  Yes it wakes everybody in the household up but it mostly clears the freeze.  Then I save each morning before dawn at around 5:45 A.M. because if my game crashes, it's usually always at 6:00 A.M.

My game was freezing at 4:01 am every time I tried to play. I cleared all my cache files, and a few other things to clear up the lag, and after that it ran great! It did not freeze at 4:01 the next morning! So I played another full day with no issues and then at 3:58 am it froze again! I actually left it on while I went to sleep to see if it would come out of it. I woke up the next morning and it was frozen at 3:58 but all my sims moods were red and orange. I think it had gone through a few times of freezing and 3:58 and coming out of it and my sims were still going!

Anyways, I have removed all the spawners I added to the town, so I'll see if that will make any difference at all!

I'm getting similar freezes, all at different times of the day:

First, there are two soft freezes (where time freezes for 10~15 sim minutes) at 7a.m. and 10p.m.

Next, there are two fairly hard freezes, one longer than the other. These are at midnight and 1a.m.

I can't seem to figure what results in these freezes.

The game may freeze due to doing various things in the background. Like growing harvestables, resetting spawners, going through story progression details such as who has moved in or out and things like that.

If you're using mods like Nraas Overwatch it will freeze at various times due to it cleaning up the game - resetting stuck sims/animals/cars, turning off tvs/radios.

There may not be much that can be done about the freezing in this instant. Just try to bear with it.

I have changed towns and files all together and the problem was fixed. I'm under the impression that if you are having these freezes it is because the town is too full.

What town are you playing Junan? Have you added things to it? I was playing dragon valley but I had gassed so many lots and spawners to it. I'm in the process of redoing my town with less lots than before and see if it fixes the problem at all.
