Emit Revelart: Time Keeper

Just wondering if anyone has been able to engage Emit in any romantic activity. I thought it might be fun to have my sim become romantically involved with Emit and either marry him or at least have his baby. Trouble is, no matter how good their relationship is, I don't get the option for any romantic choices. She can't even flirt with him. I'm beginning to think there is something in his coding that prevents any romantic actions. Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't have my copy yet but I've read several comments on this at the official forums, it appears he's his own type of special life state and romance is disabled for him, shame as I think many simmers would like to use him for romance.

Have you tried the cheat to add him to your household? or you might be able to get his DNA to clone him...

If you cheat to get him in CAS you can save him to your bin, that's what I've done

If you mouse over Emit's picture in your friends, in mine, it says he is engaged or married, not sure which, of course, that doesn't usually stop any sims from flirting.  I don't get the interaction either, but he is kinda handsome though.

You CAN have romantic interactions with Emit, but as Turoskel said you'd have to change his life state. To do that you would need to download the Nraas MasterController Mod, as well as the StoryProgression Mod. Before I give instructions on how to use them, I will warn you that once you take Emit out of his life state he will NOT be able to give you advice about the future and you will NOT be able to do the opportunities he offers because he only offers them in his "Time Traveler" life state. Once you remove his life state he will become just a regular sim. Anyways, here it goes:

1. Download both mods mentioned above and add them to your Sims 3 Mods/Packages folder.

2. Then, start up the game, and allow custom content/mods to be accessed, if they aren't already. You can do this by going into your system preference/options screen and changing the game settings to allow custom content.

3. After you have loaded your household you need to find/summom Emit.

4. Click on Emit. Choose Nraas/MasterController/Intermediate/Occult:Remove/Time Traveler.

Romantic options are now allowed. To be able to "go steady" "propose" "marry" follow these next instructions:

1. Click on Emit. Choose Nraas/Story Progression/Sim Options and click the following so that the "value" is changed to "true":

a. Friendship:Allow - click and press check mark
b. Pregnancy: Allow Participation - click and press check mark
c. Romance: Allow - same as before
d. Romance: Allow Marriage - same
e. And if this one is not already set to "true" click on Romance: Allow Steady and set the value.

Once you have changed all these you are now able to have a romantic relationship with Emit.

I can confirm you are able to take some DNA from him.

Edit: Well, dang it. I tried to store said DNA for later use, and it has since disappeared. I guess you should use it as soon as you get it.

I managed to clone Emit from a DNA sample and age him up using cheats. His clone is romanceable and looks the same, but his hair is black. And when I try to save the original Emit's hair color in CAS, it also saves as black.

Can you use Clone Drone on him? I do have University Life but am saving it for my new computer. I don't care about the hair color - that's what the mirror is for, lolz. 

If you were able to add the Door of Life and Death into Oasis Landing, you could ask the Grimster to do a Genetic Merger with Emit, I bet. All in all, I don't care if Emit babies are out of the question - we need to have SOME NPCs which can't be bred with without cheats.

It just goes to show that there is no need for the pregnant challenge.
The Sims 3 IS the pregnant challenge.
But honestly, I want my sim to have Emit's babies. ;(

So after reading through a few things, people have developed theories (Or just looked into other explanations other than 'It's a glitch.') about Emit Relevart. I've had a little look at him aswell.

A) Emit has his own life state, known as 'Time Traveler'.

B) Emit's life state can only be removed if you download the right mods.

C) If his life state is removed, he will just be "boring old Emit", no powers, no 'time traveler' options, nothing. Just a normal sim.

D) Apparently, you could use clone drone on him, but when I tried, it wouldn't give me the option to clone him. (List showed up, no Emit)

E) Emit is downloadable on 'The Sims Exchange', no life state included.

F) You can only use the 'Edit Sim' cheat on Emit while he is wearing is normal clothes. (Pajamas, swimwear, formal, etc.)

G) I have attempted to get Emit into pajamas with the dream pod. (Share a dream) However, the option didn't appear.

H) I tried getting Emit into his swimwear by putting a pool down and walling him off so that he didn't leave without swimming, but he jumped straight in. Emit HAS no swimwear.

I) The only 'Flirty' interaction you can do with Emit is tell him a dirty joke. Good luck charming someone with dirty jokes. "Oh, that's so dirty, I'm gonna marry you!"


I might add some more to the list later, but can anyone else name some things that really bug you?

I'm going to merge this with the other thread about Emit Relevart as it's directly related to the conversation there and I don't think we need two threads for him.

I've just found that Emit can be put into CAS,  only if you have "Unlockoutfits on".
His hair registers as black/greeny brown.
I was wrong. I set his life state as human and he still cannot have any romantic interactions.
If you want to keep Emit, save him to the bin.

On a similar note, I had my sim marry in oasis landing, yet when he returned home his wife stayed put. He can visit her in oasis landing and they can buy a home etc, woohoo even, although they can't have a family as the wife's household is too large.  Anyone know how I can get my sims wife to return home with him next time he visits?
