I had Agnes and Chris have a child. When the child (a girl) aged up to teen, I was surprised at the result. She didn't have any of her parent's genetics except for Chris' eye colour? Is this normal?

I'm not sure if features other than the hair/eye color can be a mutation but this might be it?

Also, it can sometimes be hard to tell if they look like their parents until they're young adults.

Sometimes the kids take after their 'grandparents' when they are the 1st generation (I usually get a random gene for black hair when this happens). Jamie is correct, you sometimes can't tell until they are older.

Ok, I saved her to the bin and took her to C.A.S in a new game. I don't think it's the ya vs teen. She looked exactly the same when she is a young adult. So I think that it's completely random genetics.

Well, like Gulliver the cat! said, sometimes they get genetics from their relatives. Agnes has other townie relatives so the daughter might look more like them.

That was what I thought, but she looks like nothing of what Agnes' and Chris' ones look like.,..

I think her eyes look like Chris's and her nose and mouth look like Agnes's, to me at least.

It can be hard to tell as a teen sometimes, but that hair color is definitely a mutation!
The Sims 3 genetic system isn't always the best, in my legacy I have Agnes and Tragic Clown have a baby (both of them are blond, Agnes has grey eyes and Tragic has blue) and I ended up with kids with townie-brown hair, red hair, and one even had orange eyes! Though all of them kept their features of their parents.
Honestly I feel that the lips look like Agnes (from this angle it's hard to tell), the eyes are all Chris and the nose is... I want to say Agnes but I couldn't be for sure!
The hair color though could be any variable (like I said I got a lot of different colors out of two blond haired sims).

That's definitely not Chris's hair. Hers is a deep red, not even the kind of red Agnes's parents have. Must be a mutation.

Here's Lollipop Dreamweaver, who has Christopher's hair.  I'm not convinced it's that much different.

Codyalex's sim's hair is definitely different. It's a pre-saved dark red hair color. Similar to Monika Morris, I think.
