I'm really happy to see this chapter it's like having rainbow after the storm!
What a good way of putting it, yes it was rather, that was the toughest few days of any game I've played I think, all three of them one after the other, plus it was hard letting Dallas die, I hadn't done that since the very first game I played with him 2 years ago and that time after just 3 days I missed him and brought him back to life
That was when I decided I wouldn't let them get old or die ever again, until now that is
Another chapter coming up and I might get a couple more posted today but my copy of ITF just arrived so we shall see, depends how much fun I'm having with it.
Chapter 40: The Passage Of TimePuzzle is quite literally a mad scientist, what she was trying to do to the dolls house I don't know and thought it best not to ask.
We put a rocking chair in the nursery as well as the one in my studio, I thought it would be nice to rock Nadia to sleep but it is permanently occupied.
Occasionally Dallas leaves the chair to eat or go to the bathroom but then he gets right back in it.
Max joined him in there one day, but with no chair to rock in he just meditated instead.
Maybe I made a mistake putting Dallas on the pedestal, I knew it would mean once he emerged he could never go back, am I cruel not letting him rest? He may not be able to return to the netherworld but that doesn't stop him from haunting his own urn.
It's almost Grace's birthday so time for another sculpture, but it seems I have some extra assistance for this one.
"You missed a bit on her skirt, it's sticking out."
"Yes well maybe I meant to leave it there, perhaps I prefer it that way."
"Admit it, you missed it."
"Do you want to do this?".
"Not my job anymore." I hope he wont sit in on every sculpture from now on.
Nadia's first birthday arrived, she takes more after Zebulon than Puzzle it seems, shame as it would have been nice to keep the crazy hair colour for another generation.
She's a
friendly little thing though, she
loves the outdoors and got quite stroppy when I tried to take her back inside.
"Time to go inside now Nadia."
"No..."
Time is a very elastic thing, some days it seems to drag while others whizz by, Stone is almost done with high school already, he had prom the other night, it was a bit of a disaster as he got in a fight and even managed to break the backdrop chasing after a girl who refused to dance with him. He did get voted Prom King though.
Zebulon was just six days away from his birthday when he moved in, that time has flown by.
The ghosts have been haunting this house ever since Kurt died and not once have I seen one interact with any of the children, they scare the adults or chat with them but that's all, so I was shocked when Dallas picked up Nadia, he had sat in her room since she was born and not once lifted a finger even when she screamed for attention, yet now suddenly here he was tickling her.
Zebulon has been teaching her to walk, Puzzle already taught her to talk and we have all taken turns with potty training.
Stone's portrait is done, so is his photograph, just his sculpture left to do now.
And Grace has finally made it, she is now a five star chef, they gave her a really nice refrigerator with her promotion, and then she turned round and bought out the Bistro, she already owns the Gazebo.
The nerd invasion has continued unabated, Stone is now a full convert and spends a lot of time issuing trivia challenges, he can't win against his grandfather though, after all Dallas is the supreme nerd who started this invasion in the first place.
We also cannot stop the flow of time, my little girl is about to become an old lady, as usual Puzzle got all excited at her birthday.
And Grace looked horrified.
But for me this means we are one step closer to another immortal, to have even got this far seems like a miracle.
