Maybe the dynasty should be called the Shallow Nerds Dynasty? ^.~ Trigger is doing something useful in his afterlife, mine just come back to eat food and annoy my household -.-"

That's interesting how they both end up to have mid-life crisis together. Mid-life crisis is fun to gathering a huge point of Lifetime Happiness but I never liked the idea to having divorce. That was a beautiful pond. Mine was small and just meh :P

Glad that to know Trigger still care for her even in his afterlife. I hope that you're happy childhood Stone ;D

Last update for today, sorry it's a sad one  :'(

Chapter 38 : Heartbroken

My heart is broken, the love of my life has gone.

It was late evening when it happened, Dallas had gone into the kitchen to cook me some dinner, even at the end he was taking care of me.

The whole day had just been wrong, first MaryKay and Max lost their game, then Grace had got burnt in a fire at work, and I had been carrying this feeling of dread with me all day. I just felt something was wrong but of course I couldn't get into the kitchen, I called for MaryKay who came and opened the door but she was too late, he was already dead.

Dallas pleaded to stay but his pleas fell on deaf ears, Grim has no cares for the pleas of the dead or the living.

Desolate I wept in MaryKay's arms not realising that the next day she would be weeping in mine.

They had not long arrived at work when Max left the stadium again, MaryKay followed him outside but there was nothing she could do.

Two days after Max's death she was due to play in a game, I wasn't sure if she would go but she did and she played the game of her life and the Llamas won the match, they even promoted her to Superstar but it was a bittersweet thing as that had been Max's dream when they first married.

That evening at home Stone said he didn't want to sleep in his own bed, he was afraid of monsters, so I read him a bedtime story and let him fall asleep in mine.

MaryKay was upstairs making potions while I read Stone to sleep, it was one of the few things she still wished to do, but in a moment eerily reminiscent of her grandfather she passed away shortly after discovering her first potion, a young again potion of all things.

Unlike the others she didn't plead to stay, instead like her mother before her she shook Grim's hand and went to be with her husband.

I don't know if the presence of Grim called to them but first Max then June and finally Kurt appeared, Kurt to my amazement was totally distraught, in life they had been enemies yet in death maybe he had finally come to love her.

Emotionally drained I crawled into bed with Stone, hoping he might help keep my own monsters at bay.

Chapter 39: A Little Hope

It has been a difficult week for all of us, Puzzle had been close to both Dallas and MaryKay since childhood, same for Zebulon who was not only a family friend but also a team mate of Max and MaryKay.

But after so much sorrow maybe these two can find a little joy, with the house so empty now Puzzle asked Zebulon to move in and he accepted.

Puzzle has wanted to marry Zebulon for a long time, they have been together since prom and now she can finally have her wish come true, but first Zebulon needed to do something of his own, say goodbye to his friends.

The nights draw in now so dusk was falling by the time everybody was ready, It would have been nice if Zebulon's parents could have been there to see their son marry but both were working.

Puzzle cut the cake, a slight change from tradition but then she was the one who proposed, at least she had the right dress on and not her flippers.

So here they are, my new little family, we all like Zebulon so I'm sure he will fit right in.

A couple of days later and there's another family member on the way.

"Aghhh I can feel the change..."

"Oooh, hello nooboo."

With my husband gone all of the museum pieces fall to me now, Stone just needed his portrait to complete this stage.

When Dallas died I put his urn on one of June's pedestals in my little studio, I know I could have placed him with all the others but I wanted him close by, it's been almost a week and no sign of him, the other ghosts are always out and about at night, but then tonight I got awoken by a presence in the room, a feeling that somebody was watching me yet when I opened my eyes nobody was there.

I tried to go back to sleep but failed so instead I decided to get a book, perhaps reading might help me, but there was a surprise waiting for me in the living room.

"Dallas!"

"Blimey woman are you trying to kill me again."

I guess I took a chance there really, for all I know I could have passed right through him and landed flat on my face. But for an insubstantial ghost he felt surprisingly solid.

Puzzle isn't the only one with a nooboo, we got some chickens and they've had some little chicks.

But for Stone it's time to grow up.

He looks more like his father all the time, I find it rather eerie, lord knows what poor Grace must feel when she looks at him.

We've built him a little workshop in the basement, he's already started tinkering about down there.

Puzzle's pregnancy passed without a hitch, although Stone did go into a full on panic when she went into labor.

Throughout her pregnancy Puzzle had been eating watermelons, she wanted to have a girl, I wanted her to have one too but for my own reasons, the fate of this entire dynasty rests on this little girls shoulders.

Her name is Nadia, it means hope.

As you can see I have a rocking chair so this must be when I got Supernatural, all occults were left turned off though and I set it to a single moon phase.

Nadia is a nice name, especially when you knowing about what her name means. Welcome Nadia :)

I'm really happy to see this chapter it's like having rainbow after the storm!

What a good way of putting it, yes it was rather, that was the toughest few days of any game I've played I think, all three of them one after the other, plus it was hard letting Dallas die, I hadn't done that since the very first game I played with him 2 years ago and that time after just 3 days I missed him and brought him back to life :-[

That was when I decided I wouldn't let them get old or die ever again, until now that is  ;D

Another chapter coming up and I might get a couple more posted today but my copy of ITF just arrived so we shall see, depends how much fun I'm having with it.

Chapter 40: The Passage Of Time

Puzzle is quite literally a mad scientist, what she was trying to do to the dolls house I don't know and thought it best not to ask.

We put a rocking chair in the nursery as well as the one in my studio, I thought it would be nice to rock Nadia to sleep but it is permanently occupied.

Occasionally Dallas leaves the chair to eat or go to the bathroom but then he gets right back in it.

Max joined him in there one day, but with no chair to rock in he just meditated instead.

Maybe I made a mistake putting Dallas on the pedestal, I knew it would mean once he emerged he could never go back, am I cruel not letting him rest? He may not be able to return to the netherworld but that doesn't stop him from haunting his own urn.

It's almost Grace's birthday so time for another sculpture, but it seems I have some extra assistance for this one.

"You missed a bit on her skirt, it's sticking out."

"Yes well maybe I meant to leave it there, perhaps I prefer it that way."

"Admit it, you missed it."

"Do you want to do this?".

"Not my job anymore." I hope he wont sit in on every sculpture from now on.

Nadia's first birthday arrived, she takes more after Zebulon than Puzzle it seems, shame as it would have been nice to keep the crazy hair colour for another generation.

She's a friendly little thing though, she loves the outdoors and got quite stroppy when I tried to take her back inside.

"Time to go inside now Nadia."

"No..."

Time is a very elastic thing, some days it seems to drag while others whizz by, Stone is almost done with high school already, he had prom the other night, it was a bit of a disaster as he got in a fight and even managed to break the backdrop chasing after a girl who refused to dance with him. He did get voted Prom King though.

Zebulon was just six days away from his birthday when he moved in, that time has flown by.

The ghosts have been haunting this house ever since Kurt died and not once have I seen one interact with any of the children, they scare the adults or chat with them but that's all, so I was shocked when Dallas picked up Nadia, he had sat in her room since she was born and not once lifted a finger even when she screamed for attention, yet now suddenly here he was tickling her.

Zebulon has been teaching her to walk, Puzzle already taught her to talk and we have all taken turns with potty training.

Stone's portrait is done, so is his photograph, just his sculpture left to do now.

And Grace has finally made it, she is now a five star chef, they gave her a really nice refrigerator with her promotion, and then she turned round and bought out the Bistro, she already owns the Gazebo.

The nerd invasion has continued unabated, Stone is now a full convert and spends a lot of time issuing trivia challenges, he can't win against his grandfather though, after all Dallas is the supreme nerd who started this invasion in the first place.

We also cannot stop the flow of time, my little girl is about to become an old lady, as usual Puzzle got all excited at her birthday.

And Grace looked horrified.

But for me this means we are one step closer to another immortal, to have even got this far seems like a miracle.

I wish Nadia had inherited the hair colour, I love IFs hairs. I wonder, is Dallas helping Stone with his homework or just chatting? Happy birthday, girls.

Well, have fun with ITF ^^

Become Mad Scientist is fun! I love when random upgrade applied to item that I selected but I always upset when my item is vanished :(
Haunting his own urn is too funny! Dallas is cute, even he's evil but he tickles Nadia instead taking her candy :D

I really hoped that Stone will end up with Nadia  ::)

Well Stone is currently exploring Oasis Landing with his lady wife, which is all I will say ;D

But I thought I'd take a moment to add one more chapter for today.

Chapter 41: And Then There Were Two

"This will be your last portrait Grace, shortly you will get to taste that wonderful Ambrosia yourself."

"Yes, if nobody else dies on me."

Grace was so close to the finish line when one of her best friends unexpectedly died, she wasn't old so I can only assume some tragedy befell her.

Already it's Nadia's birthday again.

It's freezing out and thick with snow but trying to keep her inside is impossible, I'm sure if the pond wasn't frozen over she'd be busy fishing in it, she is quite the angler.

Grace's museum is finished at last, all she needs now is a couple of best friends and her requirements will be complete, not so easy when half the people she knows are dying of old age, at present she doesn't even have any co-workers, just her elderly boss.

Stone has been hiding something in the basement behind the staircase, until now we have left it alone but everybody is asleep and the house is a mess, everything seemed to break at once and I'm not allowed to fix it so I decided to use the key Stone had given me.

"Awaken Bonehilda! and clean up this mess would you, too many slobs in this house."

If Grace sees her she will freak out, hopefully she can help me clean up before morning and be safely back in her coffin before Grace is any the wiser.

Another day and yet another birthday, this time it's Stone.

Unsurprisingly he's going to be an inventor, and gets straight to work down in his basement.

He went to the junkyard last night in search of scrap but also came back with a load of old furniture, which he promptly decided to blow up on my lawn!

Luckily graduation interrupted his shenanigans, he was voted most popular and valedictorian, it's not that I'm not proud of him but in a class of just three, and two of those out of towners, it's not overly surprising.

Once the ceremony was over we all headed home, Grace and I had a very special meal to share together, she had finally made all her requirements.

"Quick wash those up your father is coming."

Although if I'm honest it's not Dallas that worries me, it's Stone and Zebulon, they are always licking plates if any get left about.

Spring is in the air and the pond has defrosted, Nadia wasted no time getting her fishing rod out, it only contains deathfish so I doubt she will catch much though.

It's such a relief to have Grace join me in immortality, it has been sad watching those we love pass away but at least now we know we will always have each other.

Of course they have never truly left us, there was a time I thought Grace might meet somebody else, after all she was still so young when Trigger died but she has never shown any interest, and why would she when she still sees so much of him, for me there will never be anybody else, eternally faithful truly does mean for eternity.

Ha! That grin is so suspicious :P

It seems that Tracey really loves her new friend there. Bonehilda? Really? I'm scared to death to see that thing in my household. She is just as scary as Ghost who come out from their grave and their scary music. What do you expect from Neurotic Simmer anyway  ::)

Yeah! *cheers* Congratulations Grace! You're an Immortal now like your Mother! 2 down and 6 left! Woohoo!
Happy birthday, Stone! Well, I can learn one or two from you when I decided Invention as my Supermax. Please guide me through your story, Stone ;D

Good luck Stone & Nadia  ::)

Reading as chapter after chapter is published. I admire the fact that you took all of these photographs while playing and can recall the exact context, even now, after you've already made HOF. You must be very good at taking notes and organisation in general.
Great updates, Turoskel! :)
