Two chapters coming up this morning, my proof reader (boyfriend
) checked through a few more last night so I'd like to get quite a few added today, at least up to the first immortal which makes it nine chapters, from recollection I'm past the stuff I wrote weeks after it happened and onto the chapters written as I played now.

Chapter 17: Never Enough TimeJune is having a bad day, first she got attacked by a bear.
Then she suffered a butt fire while sculpting.
And as if that wasn't bad enough Puzzle had been at the shower.
A bit of quality time with Tom soon made her day better though.
Grace came home from school alone today, she said Puzzle had gone home with a boy called Preston Franklin, I hope she's behaving herself.
Tom has already outlived Kurt by some days but with everyday that passes so does any chance of a reconciliation between father and son, I just had to give it one last shot.
"Dallas don't you think it's about time you forgave your father?".
"He tried to kiss you! and you want me to forgive that?". There he'd finally said it, we'd danced around this for so long but now it was out in the open at last.
"It was a long time ago now and he's never tried it again, you have to understand he was in a bad place, his marriage was on the rocks, he wasn't thinking straight."
"Don't make excuses for him, grandfather told me he was trying to take you away from me."
"Kurt? and you believed that, oh Dallas. It never ceases to amaze me how even now he manages to manipulate this family, just how long are you going to let a dead man carry on controlling you?".
"Please Dallas, just talk to him, I'm sure you can sort this out if you tried."
"Okay, I'll talk to him in the morning."
"Nothing like a bit of radioactive cider to warm the old bones."
"It better do, I'm freezing."
"Well it was your idea son."
"I know that but I assumed we'd both go and get dressed first, instead you just closed the basket and took off."
"Oh, well anyway were here now, cheers!"
Puzzle has been learning the skills she will need for her future career in science, she's taken a class In handiness and gardening and we have built a greenhouse for her so she can garden in winter. Fishing proves a little more difficult though as the ponds are all frozen, but that didn't stop Puzzle, she just hopped over the wall and started fishing in the pool next door.
Tom has also become quite handy and had decided to do something about the noisy dishwasher, it had plagued us with it's rumbling ever since we bought the thing, he was halfway through upgrading it when Grim finally decided it was his time, he was 99.
"Please, just a bit longer, I was almost done."
The whole family was upset by Tom's passing, I know they have a strange way of showing it but they really were.
"Curse you Grim, why couldn't you have given him a bit longer." At least father and son had made up before Grim came, that is one regret Dallas wont have to live with.
MaryKay though is beside herself with grief, she has lost the one person she could rely on in this world, her daddy.
And if Tom had lived just a few more hours he would have been granted his wish to see his precious daughter become a criminal mastermind.
