Zhara looks lovely; she really did grow into that nose, I think. Plus, I love her room. And yay! Final generation! I can't believe one of your immortals actually got to 88 days before completing her requirements. I go absolutely bonkers if they aren't ready the first day they turn elder. You must have been so nervous! Well, I'm glad she made it.

Chapter 96: And Then There Were Seven

It's Seth's birthday again and for once Cody was there on time.

Since birth Seth has loved the outdoors, he always seems happier there, now he is old enough he wants to become an angler, something else he got from his grandfather no doubt to go with his looks. I still feel those eyes are from his father though.

At times I think it's a shame these two can't marry, they are so happy together.

At least Seth gets to spend his birthday with his dad, they spend most of the day playing tag and are soon the best of friends.

Zahra asked Cody to stay over, he was more than happy to, but it meant poor Buddy got rather rudely shooed from the bedroom for the night, I know Zahra loves Cody but she must be careful not to reject Buddy because of him, after all he's her oldest and dearest friend.

And she will be needing them all too soon, two days after starting back at work Zahra had her final promotion, first thing she did was take some more time off to concentrate on her writing, armed with some of her mothers potions to help her stay stress free and awake she has churned out article after article over the last two days and only stepped away from the computer to eat and use the bathroom.

In fact she's written so much during her time off she has finished her requirements with two days to go, looks like I shall be busy painting on her birthday.

But for now she can relax, Stone though isn't getting much relaxation lately, his son and grandfather are pushing him hard trying to get him out of his slovenly ways, I'm sure he thought he'd escaped the weight training when Tad had to go off to work but no such luck, Dallas soon had him back on there again.

Seth is making use of his free time to go fishing at the hatchery.

"Hmm it's a bit small but I guess it's okay."

"Eww what is that?".

"Yuck! a starfish, it's all spiky" personally I think they are quite pretty, Seth obviously doesn't agree.

I used some of my free time to get Seth's portrait done, won't be many more of these now.

I know we really have no use for the nursery now but I'm loath to change it, but my reluctance means Seth has no bed so instead he ends up sleeping in Zahra's, after a bedtime story of course.

It's Zahra's birthday, seems like five minutes ago she was born and now here she is about to be an old lady, and an Immortal too once I get her museum pieces done.

It doesn't take long and by early evening they are finished.

At last we have Immortal number seven, it's all down to Seth now.

Chapter 97: It Takes One To Know One

Cody has a new job, and no we didn't arrange this even though we own the store, no favoritism here honest.

Knowing he would be working till 6pm we held off on Seth's birthday party till evening so he could be there.

It all started off so well, his friends from school were there as well, all newly aged up themselves, his father was there, it looked to be the perfect party.

But it didn't last.

Cody has good reason to look so terrified, all these people crammed into such a small space and suddenly poof the cake goes up in flames, the flames spread so fast even Dallas felt the need to help put it out.

When the floor also caught fire I thought it was going to turn into an inferno, thankfully between the three of them Grace, Dallas and Zahra managed to get it under control.

Thank god the next cake was okay, a scare like that makes you realise just how much your family means to you, all of us are very family oriented and Seth is no exception.

Panic over at last Cody could relax a bit, no wonder he avoids visiting us as it seems like we are always trying to set the poor guy on fire again.

Now he is older I can clearly see that Seth is just like his grandfather, no doubt about it, I always thought maybe his eyes would turn out more like Cody's but no, he's all Imsety.

I got his museum pieces done early but the sculpture went a little wrong when his hand almost came off.

It no longer seemed right for Seth to sleep in Zahra's room now he's a teenager so we moved the pool table out of the attic and he now has his own room, complete with a set of musical instruments for him to play when the mood takes him.

Two days after his birthday his father came to visit, and gave us all a bit of a shock, Zahra most of all, Cody tried to comfort her but I doubt he understands his rapid aging anymore than we do.

He was so much younger than Zahra I almost thought he might still be with us at the end of it all, but it's looking less and less likely by the day, it seems fate has dealt him a cruel hand, to give him back his life only to whisk it away again.

Now he is old enough Seth has registered as a self employed fisherman, he wants to have a perfect aquarium.

When he isn't fishing after school he's playing his new instruments, or old ones in this case as I gave him China's guitar.

High School whizzes by and before we know it it's prom time once more.

Just like his mother Seth finds himself voted prom king and with a new romantic interest, Donna Willard, lets hope she's a little more committed than Delbert was.

Well she showed up for his birthday party at least.

Even Cody braved it once more.

It turns out Donna does have a few commitment issues after all but they didn't stop her saying yes when Seth asked her to go steady.

After inviting Donna and Cody to stay over it wasn't long before everybody turned in for the night.

Apart from two.

It seems Kelly has taken offense to Seth's new girlfriend, she says she caught her lurking about waiting for us all to fall asleep so she could steal our stuff, well I guess Kelly would know a thief when she sees one, looks like Donna has been officially warned by the Master Thief herself.

I realise Seth's childhood seems to have flown by but all he did was fish, really wasn't overly exciting. He got schmoozer for his last trait for no other reason than I hadn't used it yet.

Donna is a kleptomaniac, commitment phobe babysitter, just what you want in a girlfriend ;D although Seth really likes her and was rolling wishes for her right away unlike his mother and Delbert.

Thank you for explaining things! But, Turoskel…  It always makes me sad to know that all what happened was only illusion, but his meeting with Zahra is real right? :( Yes, of course it's real ;D

94 - 97

Haha, Willow is so funny! Welcome baby Seth!
We need evil to make our story interesting and Kelly just takes her role for stealing baby candy ::)
It's been awhile since we didn't see Stone in action! There's so many interesting picture about Seth!
Is that an aging glitch or exactly looks like aging curse? I have my Sim friend that stuck in age so my Sim cannot have prom night with her :(

There’s several chapters and epilogue left. I can’t wait to see them all :)

Oh yes the meeting and everything else is real only the house is the illusion, it was actually quite nice to have somewhere quiet they could go without interruptions from family or IF's.

Cody's aging do you mean? when he was homeless he got struck by the npc aging bug and skipped most of young adult, not sure how far along it put him in the adult stage but he did seem to age to elder much sooner than I thought he would. But then maybe I lost track of time a little and it was three weeks, after all he aged to adult while Zahra was pregnant.

Perhaps your sims friend is like Imsety, maybe they will go to prom with a much later generation  ;)

Only four chapters left of the story then four for the epilogue, it will feel strange to be finally finished with it, putting this story up has sort of kept it ongoing even though I finished last month.

Chapter 98: A Fishy Tale

It's a proud day for Zahra, her little boy's graduation.

Seth was voted Valedictorian and most likely to become a rock star.

As has become a tradition after graduation we took a family picture, can you believe this will be the last one?

Seth wastes no time getting back to the river to fish afterwards though.

We haven't given up our search for a way to bring our family back without the use of ambrosia, I've been spending a lot of time researching the book lately, and I think I've finally found something.

"Willow, come and take a look at this."

"Oh that's nice Gran, did you carve it yourself?".

"Yes but I didn't mean the lectern I meant the book, read this part."

Only there's just one tiny little snag.

"But where are we going to find one of those around here, Riverview isn't exactly brimming with occult's is it."

"Oh I think I can mix up a little something to help with that, don't you worry Gran."

Seth soon settles into a daily routine, or maybe it should be a nightly one, early mornings he heads to the consignment store to sell the previous days catch, then at nights he heads to the graveyard to catch deathfish, as the temperatures begin to drop our own pond has taken to freezing at night.

A perfect deathfish completes his private aquarium and his dream.

But it's not all fishing, there's still time for a quick jam session now and then with the old grandparents.

The first snows arrive but they don't stay for long.

After all nothing can be allowed to stop Seth fishing.

Sometimes I wonder why City Hall doesn't clean this river up, that car has been there for centuries now, a reminder of a past best forgotten or perhaps a warning for today to drive more carefully.

As much as he wanted them Seth rarely even looks at his aquariums, instead he leaves it to everybody else to look after them.

Snowflake day arrives and time for another gift giving party.

"Mistletoe again, really? show some originality people!".

The day was going great when suddenly..........

But quick thinking Zahra soon had Cody back on his feet again.

Outside in the cool air things became clearer, soon after Willow was born a plague arrived in Riverview, a very unusual plague, it can affect anybody at anytime and leaves as quickly as it arrived, one day you are a normal person going about your business the next you have suddenly developed scales and a craving for kelp, Of course we didn't realise Cody had been afflicted and we sat him right next to the fireplace, not surprising he passed out then.

Mermaids in Riverview! how silly is that? the sea is miles away.

Chapter 99: Full Moon

Seth had a phone call from the military base, they wanted some dragon fish, we had just one caught by Nadia a long time ago but they needed three, it's a long time since anybody traveled, for various reasons we have been unable to but Seth's phone never rings so every opportunity must be taken. Thankfully he arrived in China without a problem and spent his holiday doing what he loves best, fishing.

And more fishing.

And even more fishing.

Still by the time he came home he had supermaxed the skill and had a nice big catch to sell at the consignment store.

He celebrated by going on a date with Donna.

But his celebrations proved short lived, so did his date, after dinner and a movie Seth had to cut the date short, his father had suddenly and totally unexpectedly passed away.

Zahra's big fear that Cody would end up like her father had come true, time had finally caught up with him.

Cody may be gone but as we know all too well his spirit will remain and it doesn't belong cooped up in the mausoleum.

It belongs at home.

I regret that we never got Cody his family back but he found a new family and lived the life he never got the chance to the first time, after his death Zahra wrote her first romance novel entitled Second Chances, it was a bestseller.

But life goes on for the rest of us and before long it's Seth's birthday once more, having gone as far as he can in his fishing career and with opportunities still rather scarce he decided to join the business career for a bit.

I on the other hand have left my job at the school to concentrate on the little project Willow and myself have started.

"I was thinking I might go to the vault today and do some research, see if I can find out some more information about these supernaturals."

"That's a good idea Gran, I found the recipe but I still need some ingredients, think I might have to ask Seth."

"Just remember not to tell him what it's for Willow, I don't want them getting their hopes up until we know it will work."

I'll be the first to admit I've always been a bit of a supernatural skeptic but after living as long as I have I've come to the conclusion that just because I've never seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Unfortunately my visit to the vault failed to provide any answers and only left me feeling like a bit of a lunatic.

But it wasn't just strangers on the receiving end of my lunatic slaps.

"What was that for? have you gone mad! why would you slap me Gran?".

"The stars Willow, the stars, they were all over your head I had to get them off, don't you see?".

"Gran's totally lost it, first she slaps me then says she did it to get the stars off my head, I don't know what went on in that vault but she's not herself."

"Well whatever it is I'm sure it will wear off eventually, I'll distract her till it does don't worry".

"Tracey why don't you come outside for a bit, get some fresh air."

"But......but I have to find more stars Dallas."

"Don't worry I know just where to find them."

"There, see lots of stars all safe in the sky where they belong."

"Oh!".

"Now why don't we just sit here and watch them for a bit and I'm sure you'll be back to your old self in no time."

"Oh Dallas I feel like such a fool, did I really slap Willow?".

"Don't worry I'm sure she'll forgive you, what were you doing in that vault anyway?".

"Erm.........nothing.............just reading, ha you know me and books, can't get enough of them...."

"You're hiding something I can tell, but fine if you don't want to tell me so be it, I'll get it out of you eventually though."

"So Seth do you think you could do me a big favour, we could really do with a toad for the aquatic eco system at work and I was thinking maybe you could catch one for us?".

"Sure, I think I know where I can find one."

That evening after work Seth headed up to Lost Willow Park for a spot of toad fishing.

And then came home and presented Willow with the final ingredient that will hopefully make all our dreams come true.

Chapter 100: Making Magic

Seth is going through a midlife crisis, I can't say I'm overly surprised, after all he has finished all his requirements already and has nothing to look forward to but old age, at this stage in life the rest of us had families of our own but Seth wont have that luxury I'm afraid, Donna isn't interested in starting a family, she says her house is too full for a baby but I feel those commitment issues of hers could be the true reason.

So far Seth has bought himself a new sports car and is trying to grow a beard although it has yet to progress past the stubble stage. He's also decided business just isn't his thing and has given it up to become a rock star.

Thankfully Willow forgave me for my lunacy.

"After all that I never even found anything useful, but I still think we should wait for Seth to eat his ambrosia first before we try this Willow, we can't afford to mess anything up now we are so close to the end."

Imsety still sends Willow love letters all the time, I feel it's one of the things that has spurred her on to create that potion we need.

"With luck Imsety you can make that letter come true real soon, assuming Gran masters her end of the deal."

"It's not like I'm asking for the world mum, she's a babysitter you'd think she'd love to have kids."

"Well maybe she doesn't feel ready Seth."

"Ready? if she isn't ready by now she never will be, time's running out, oh I don't know...sigh......perhaps I should just do what you and granddad did and ask Molly to sort out my love life."

"Wait it was a joke mum........put down the lamp.............."

"Wow, erm hello.......wow!".

"So you're Seth are you, well what can I do for you Seth?".

"Oh you can do anything you want Molly."

"Seth! shame on you, flirting with Molly like that, don't you have a job to go to or something."

"Gran er....yes......I was just leaving........"

"Honestly that boy, his heads all over the place lately, I'm glad you're about Molly it was you I wanted to see actually, you must know a bit about magic do you think it's possible for somebody like myself to learn it?".

"I think that's very possible, may I ask you something, that book of yours where did you find it?."

"In an old chest in the attic next door, why?".

"Let's call it curiosity, and what happened prior to you finding it?".

"Well we had recently moved here from Bridgeport, I was never really happy there but here I felt like I'd finally come home, I don't know it just felt right, I'd met Dallas and I was getting to spend more time with my parents, you know how sometimes everything just seems perfect and you wish it could stay that way forever, well that's how it was back then, only it didn't last, my parents passed away and I lost my home."

"And I bet you wanted them back didn't you, and that's when you remembered that book that had so conveniently given you a way to do so, tell me has the book always been the same or have you ever looked at it and thought I don't remember this part?".

"Well now that you mention it it is a bit odd, I've checked it daily and yet sometimes when I look there's yet another restriction, or one has been removed or altered, it's like it's evolving as time passes or something."

"Well you've read a lot of books in your time I'm sure even you can see that is unusual...........almost magical wouldn't you agree?".

"Are you saying the book is magic?".

"That's exactly what I'm saying and I'm betting all those years of reading it have rubbed off on you quite a bit, you have an aura around you Tracey, a golden one like those I have only witnessed on Witches, the magic is already in you and all you need to do is find the key to unlock it."

"Willow's potion, of course!".

"I'm sure if you tried hard enough there may even be some things you could manage without the potion."

"Thank you Molly, you've been a good friend to this family, I just wis......"

"NO! I mean no need to worry about that it's what friends do, now I better be getting back to my lamp, these visits tire me out so much, goodbye."

While Seth's love life might be suffering a bit lately his mothers was back on track once more, and yes that is Cody not Dallas, I know it's confusing isn't it.

We decided to pay a visit to Sheryl, she wasn't feeling too good so Stone wanted to check up on her.

Tad and Grace couldn't stay for very long though as they both had work but they helped me tidy up last years leaves, well Tad helped anyway Grace just played in them.

After they left I spent some time getting to know Joy, Sheryl's little dog.

But then tragedy struck, it seems Sheryl's parts had finally worn out beyond repair, her father was unable to fix her.

I didn't like the thought of leaving Joy alone in the house, Sheryl had a housemate but nobody had ever met them or knew where they were so I picked Joy up and took her home.

"Look Dallas isn't she adorable?".

"She certainly is but you can't keep her you know."

"I know but just let me enjoy it while I can."

Joy wasn't the only thing that we brought home, that night Sheryl put in an appearance and Joy was just filled with, well joy to see her owner again.

She wasn't the only one.

It seems cruel that just three days before Seth's birthday Grim would choose now to take Stone's daughter from him after she had lived for so long, I swear he delights in tormenting us.

Chapter 101: And At Last There Were Eight

It's leisure day once more, it's also just one day to Seth's birthday, so it seemed like a good time to invite the remaining family members to visit.

It's a long time since we've seen Teddy, he doesn't live in town so unlike the girls isn't out and about all the time, rarely did one of us go out without bumping into Sheryl and where you found Sheryl you generally found Rosanna, they may not have lived together but they did spend almost all their time together.

Speaking of Rosanna I decided to take Molly's advice and have a go at one of the spells in the book, a summoning spell.

"Amazing Molly was right it worked, Rosanna you're here!".

"Yes but how, I was........what's going on Gran?".

"Magic! can you believe it your old great grandmother learned a new trick."

Stone was so overjoyed to see his daughter he didn't even question how she got there.

But his joy was short lived.

"One day Gran, just one more day and we would have been free, I could have saved her, saved them both."

"I know Stone, I know."

It's been a long very tiring day, with luck tomorrow is the day our dynasty comes to it's natural end and all restrictions are removed, maybe soon I shall be sleeping once more in the arms of my husband rather than him napping on top of the covers like he does now, I live in hope.........always.

The following morning and at last Seth's birthday is here.

But just when you thought it was a done deal would you believe it he does it once again, has this boy got flammable breath or something?

Buddy to the rescue!

Second time lucky.

After a quick spruce up it's time to pose for his photo.

Then I set to work on his portrait but it was getting dark by the time I finished.

By the time his sculpture was finished midnight had come and gone and the rest of the house was tucked up in bed.

Am I sure I really want him back?

Absolutely positively sure!

"We did it Dallas, we actually did it."

Or at least we will have once Seth eats his ambrosia but that can wait till morning, now it's time to place his final museum pieces.

No replicated meal for Seth, he gets freshly prepared ambrosia.

Such a big occasion deserves the families undivided attention for once, a really hard thing to get, really hard, just sit down will you people!

With that last mouthful the ambrosia takes effect and finally we are finished and free.

Well I guess now is the time to make good on that promise, for good or evil......

Final Stats:

Completed Week 59 Day 7

Museum Total = 1,429,277

Epilogue coming tomorrow  :D

Epilogue: A Promise Fulfilled (Part 1)

"So what happens now Gran?"

"Well first I thought we might have a little celebratory drink, something pink and fizzy maybe, what do you think Grace?".

"Pink and fizzy? Oh! yes, I think we have just the thing down in the basement, be right back."

"Well cheers everybody!".

"Cheers!".

Ever since Tom created that first young again potion all that time ago I had been stockpiling them just for this moment, one by one the potions took effect restoring our lost youth.

Until only I remained, it was at this point I realised that everybody else was wearing their old clothes.

"Oh no I gave my old clothes to that school jumble sale!".

"This should be interesting then."

"Well would you look at that they came back, I hope they got washed first."

"Don't suppose you have a spare one of those potions about?"

"Sorry Dallas, I doubt it would work on a ghost anyway, besides your age doesn't matter to me."

"Hah, easy for you to say now you're the younger one."

Now the moment has arrived I'm not sure I can go through with this, surely one of the others would be a better choice, Willow maybe, she's quite good with all this magic mumbo jumbo.

"Willow I've had an idea, I think you should use the potion instead."

"sigh"

"I don't think so Gran, Molly said you could do this and do it you will."

"So, did it work?"

"I'm not sure, hang on let me try something, ah look an apple."

"It's pink, apples aren't pink."

"Well it's my first go, at least it's actually apple shaped."

"Right lets try this sunlight charm then."

"Oh dear, don't you think you should practice a bit more first."

"I'm sure it will be fine, the apple worked didn't it."

"Well not really........"

"Oh my god, Gran are you okay?".

"I guess it backfired."

That spell had left me feeling drained but Willow knew of a little magical pick me up so set about making some.

While we were busy playing with magic everybody else was making use of their restored vitality by playing in the pool, blissfully unaware of the magical mayhem taking place inside the house.

"Right this should do the trick."

"Oh no not again, please."

But this time it worked.

"Gran you did it!".

"Now to test the zombie one."

"What?!".

Epilogue: A Promise Fulfilled (Part 2)

Luckily for Willow I was only teasing her, that spell is reserved exclusively for the dead.

"Okay Willow time to put that Philosophers Stone of yours to use."

"Are you sure you want to do this? surely somebody else would be better."

"Believe me if I had my way I know exactly who I'd bring back first but I promised them both, It has to be this way Willow."

"Okay, but I warn you she's not going to be happy about it."

No she probably wont, especially when she sees what's here.

Have you ever wondered how I got Kurt to agree to this mad scheme? after all what could I have possibly offered the man who had everything.

How about the one thing he had lost.

"Hello Sasha."

"Willow? how did I get here..........and where is here?".

"I used the Philosophers Stone to bind you, this is our home."

"But why would you do such a thing, wait is that.......my son."

We let Sasha have her tears, although I imagine in her heart she must have known Tom died a long time ago to have the proof there before her was still upsetting.

Already I'm starting to wonder why I agreed to this, from everything I heard about Sasha Shallow from her family she was an evil, mean spirited, neurotic old hag, but they loved her and her death tore the family apart, Kurt blamed Dallas for the accident, June blamed Kurt for letting them go out in the first place, and Dallas, well he lost the one person who ever cared for him.

"It was my own fault really, Kurt tried to stop me from going out in that dreadful storm but I was stubborn, I'd promised Dallas I would take him to his guitar lessons and I wasn't about to let the boy down, lord knows nobody else in the house ever took any notice of him, I could hardly see where I was going the rain was so heavy, when that deer ran out in front of us I swerved without thinking not realising I was so close to the river bank, I had no idea he had survived until I met Willow."

"So you promised them you would find a way to bring me back? I must say it seems an awful lot of trouble just for me, but then I never could refuse that boy anything either, very well I shall return to the netherworld so you can do your thing."

Well here goes nothing.

Oh yes, queue manic laugh!

Well she looks dreadful but what can you expect when you've been dead for such a long time, still we can soon change that.

Now where have I seen that expression before?

"I didn't go to all this trouble just for you Sasha, I did it for all of us, there is so much still to explore out there, so many things to see and do and I wanted the time to do them all, I wanted eternity and I wanted to spend it with my family, which I guess includes you too, Willow why don't you go and round everybody up downstairs while Sasha has a little drink."

"Odd choice of glass, what is it?".

"Oh just think of it like a liquid face lift."

"Okay everybody I had Willow gather you here because I have a little surprise for you all."

"Grace how would you like to meet your great grandmother?".

She's scowling behind my back isn't she.

"So does this mean what I think it means Gran, we can finally have our family back?".

"It certainly does Stone, now why don't you try and calm Tad down a bit while I go and get things organised."

The hardest decision was who to bring back first, my heart screamed Dallas but my head said the logical choice was to start at the end and work backwards, which meant I was about to have one very happy inventor on my hands.

And a happy little dog too of course.

"Now Zahra are you sure you want to be here for this, It isn't pretty you know."

"I'm sure Gran."

"Very well, okay be ready, Sasha knew what was coming but Cody doesn't, no idea how he might react."

Eww no, not pretty at all.

"Zzzzzzzzaahhhraaaa.........."

"Eeek!..........quick, cast the charm Gran, cast the charm!!!".

Next time I think the loved ones can wait downstairs instead of risking their brains being eaten.

Ahhh it's all so romantic, but enough of that I have work to do this is no time to get all soppy.

That's the last of my stock of young again potions, I'll have to have a word with Kelly about making some more.

Better get some more of those magic restorers from Willow as well, it's going to be a loooong night.
