Can they? I had no idea :o

I'm very wary of abductions, when I tried the townie dynasty my logic sim spent his whole young adult life pregnant with alien babies which is why I decided this time whoever did logic would be a female, I thought I was safe now the men in the house were all old, apparently not then.

I love that picture of Garrison in a monocle - also Willow's hair and clothes.  Maybe I should get IP...

Chapter 76: Harmless Old Ladies

The weather is glorious lately so I took Willow to the park for the day, Kelly also came so she could practice her chess.

It wasn't too crowded with just a couple of other people about so Willow felt quite comfortable just being out and having fun.

Kelly on the other hand got herself in a spot of bother when she chose to pick a fight with what looked like a harmless old lady.

But turned out to be a lot stronger than expected.

Willow has made a friend at school at last, she invited Alison to join us at the park and Kelly promptly coerced her into a logic lesson.

In all it's been a fun start to the summer for Willow, a shame childhood and its relative freedom passes so quickly.

Now comes the troublesome teens, but she isn't like her mother so hopefully it will still be safe to enter the shower.

She wants to be a scientist like her great grandmothers Puzzle and Nadia, she has inherited their green thumb it would seem, perhaps our greenhouse will once more be alive with plants, it has stood empty for a long time now.

But first another lesson with mother.

Kelly is close to mastering logic, she has been slowly moving up the ranks of the chess tournament but is hindered slightly by her work schedule, many of her opponents work during the day and then she is at work when they finish, her aunt Rosanna was free for a match though.

Then it was time for a tournament rematch with Garrison.

Meanwhile back at home there was an altogether different match going on.

"So remind me again mum if this goes in who has to drink?".

"Erm I'm not sure, I know why don't we both have a cup."

"Sounds good to me!".

Trounced by Kelly in the chess match Garrison decided to cheer himself up with a meal at the Bistro, that was until he met a rather strange tourist outside.

"Erm Hello again Mr Grim, you haven't come to collect have you?".

"Did you want me to? I could if you like."

"What?......no....er thank you."

Looking to change the subject fast Garrison did the only thing he could think of and showed Grim a funny cat video.

Grim was not amused.

I'm sure you can imagine my shock when I was told I had been entered into the chess tournament and would be playing Kelly, my logic skills are minimal at best, work is always complaining I need to do more, I have a feeling they set me up for this.

To my total surprise I beat her, or maybe she let me, perhaps she was just humouring an old lady.

Because she made very short work of the rematch.

Or maybe she was distracted by the imminence of her own old age.

Willow no longer plays with Pat he is totally forgotten but certainly not gone.

As for Kelly, well some things never change no matter how old you get.

No harmless old lady here that's for sure.

I wouldn't be able to bear having an IF in the house, especially if it belonged to an immortal. Doesn't he stay in the chest or do you get messages that he wants to come and play?

At this point he only appeared for birthdays, I'll be honest never having left one as a doll this long I didn't know if he would keep growing up with Kelly but he did, he'd come downstairs age up then go back to her room and vanish till next time.

74 - 76

I just wonder why Garrison skin looks so smooth; do you use any custom skin to alter his? Or, he just always had been that smooth. That was strange for me, especially looking at his lips. Bye, China! Hope that you have a good life. I love Willow hair as a child.

That means just don't judge your opponent just from the appearance alone, Kelly! Even harmless old lady can harm you ::)

Aaaah, Kelly is being old! She's old lady already! That's my first reaction when I see her. The stupid link point me out to that part already ::) But, so far in this dynasty Kelly is my favourite one!

I just wondering something, but I--- Oh, I remember. Would you mind to create the family tree things? I'll be loved to see this family tree.

Worst part about this dynasty was them getting old, I was most upset about Tad becoming an old man, didn't want to lose that nice physique of his  :'( I wish elders looked less like 90 year olds all hunched and saggy with skinny arms, you can still be a fit attractive elder EA  >:(

Yes I do use a custom skin by LadyFrontBum (easily found with google), been using it for years and can't play without it now, I don't like how my sim looks without it, and Dallas looks rather pig faced with the default skin because of the lines it has by the nose.

Here's Tracey with the EA skin (on the left) and my picture from the first post with the cutsom skin, I didn't alter her makeup but she appears to have a lot more on than with the custom skin and her nose looks totally different due to the highlighting.

So yes that is why Garrison looks so smooth and why old man Stone has a six pack on his saggy tummy  ;D

I have done a family tree already, I'll tweak it to remove the spoilers for the last generations but you can look at it here.

Chapter 77: And Then There Were Five

Sometimes I wonder what Dallas sees when he uses the goggles, if it makes him feel more alive for a while, it keeps him amused at least.

Kelly has tried hard to stay in touch with her foreign friends over the years, Imsety has been a regular visitor and this time he brought another old friend with him.

It seems old age hasn't changed Wafaa much either.

Garrison finally made surgeon but he'd had enough of work and wished to retire.

That night Kelly finally made it too, she came home bursting with excitement and just had to share her good news with somebody but nobody was awake, nobody alive that is.

Her prize for becoming a Master Thief and completing her requirements was given pride of place in the dining room.

And at last Kelly could join the rest of us in immortality.

And just in time too.

"Did you have to do that? you almost scared me to death there."

"Ah but I didn't did I which just proves that the ambrosia worked."

"And if it hadn't?".

"Well then I'd say it's a good thing I'm already dead because your great great grandmother would probably wish to kill me for ruining everything. Probably invite me to one of her old fogies death parties or something."

Old fogies death parties indeed, well actually yes they are but that's not the point, I'm just sick of the constant "I'm on my death bed" phone calls these people send me when weeks later they are still going strong, years later for some of them.

Besides it's fun to get out the house and have a party sometimes, the deaths are an incidental bonus...........I mean unfortunate event, did I say bonus?

Willow has been venturing out on her own a little more lately, she really gets uncomfortable in crowds but is fine with people she knows, many tourists visit Riverview and Imsety is one of the regulars so it wasn't too surprising she bumped into him on a trip to the library, I think his youth juice has run out though as he's much older than he was.

It didn't end well though, I'm not sure what he said to offend her but she was not very pleased.

Garrison is making the most of retirement, he's been helping Willow with her studies.

And just as he did all that time ago at university he often sits on the lawn with Kelly watching the stars.

Willow chose not to attend prom, she was going to but when the night arrived she spent it in the greenhouse tending to her plants instead, her parents wished to throw her a birthday party but she just wanted to spend it with her family.

But just as we were all sitting down to eat cake Garrison gave her the worst birthday present ever.

"So we meet again Mr Grim, I'd say it's a pleasure but I'd be lying, sorry for spoiling your birthday sweetheart but I'll see you again real soon okay."

And with that he shook Grim's hand and left

Grim on the other hand decided to stick around for a bit.

"Here Dallas check this out."

"Isla Paradiso, just went there for my holidays, boy was that a busy week, the place was amazing and the sharks! well lets just say they were to die for if you get my drift."

"Now is not the time to be showing me your holiday snaps Grim."

whispered "show them to me later,  oh and I don't suppose you could give me your travel agents number?".

"Oh dad!"

"What? I was just curious."

It's lovely to see the purple hair still going strong! And by the way, I love your museum photographs all lined up like that without any spaces in between; it's like a little timeline. Grim can be so terribly inappropriate some times!

I was cracking up when that happened, personally I love it when Grim sticks around after a death as he's so unpredictable, the fact he went and checked out Garrison after China died was very odd, he just stood and stared at him for a couple of minutes then vanished as if to say "I'll be back for you later." And then when he met him in town I started to think he was stalking the poor guy as I could see no reason for Grim to even be there, he wasn't on a lot where a sim might have died but just lurking on the path  ???

Chapter 78: Old Friends, New Friends and Tall Tales

Willow's graduation was a somber affair but she did well getting Valedictorian and also most likely to never leave the house and despite the sorrow managed to show off her good sense of humour with her choice of headgear.

We have all found our own ways to deal with the losses of our spouses, I have forced mine to stay about although secretly I think he likes it, for Grace it is a little easier I feel as her time with Trigger was brief and she has had the longest time of any of us to get used to it, Stone has his son and grandchildren to keep him going while Tad channels his sorrow into sheer strength by breaking space rocks.

So what does Kelly have?

A rather unexpected shoulder to cry on.

True to his word though Garrison was soon back.

But even seeing him again didn't help Kelly's mood and she decided to take it out on her mother.

But you're never too old for a telling off from mum Kelly.

A couple of days after Garrisons death Kelly had a visitor, Harold Assange.

Willow was quite taken with him.

In fact Willow was very taken with him.

But Harold had come for one reason only, to see his old friend one last time, and two days later he passed away.

"It's just so unfair, why do all mum's friends have to be so old and near death, I really liked Harold."

But not all her mothers friends were that old, although technically this one was the oldest of them all actually being older than Stone if not for his mysterious anti aging trick.

"Hello Imsety."

"Willow? you've grown since last we met."

"Yes, that happens to normal people."

"We do not have snow in Egypt, this will be my very first snowman."

"I think my movie is about to start, would you like to join me?"

"Yes, I would like that very much."

Willow had a nice time with Imsety that afternoon but it was cut short when he had to leave to catch his plane, I'm sure he will return soon though, he always does.

With her company gone and the theater getting crowded Willow went in search of somewhere more quiet.

Not much point being scared of ghosts when you live in a house that's full of them so instead Willow decided to make a new friend, Pete Kent died in a fire long ago so I guess it would be bad to say they got on like a house on fire but really they did.

But then she met somebody altogether different, Kurt's late wife Sasha Shallow.

"So that makes me your great great great great great great granddaughter."

"So MaryKay had children, but I thought she hated kids."

"No not MaryKay, Dallas."

"Dallas? then he's alive? oh that's wonderful."

"Erm no he's dead.....well I mean yes he was alive but now he's dead.......why did you think he was dead?".

"Well the accident of course, which I can see by your face you know nothing about, hmmm interesting."

Willow got so engrossed talking to Sasha she didn't notice all the other ghosts that had appeared but as soon as she realised she was surrounded she ran out of there fast.

Chapter 79: Death's Doorman

As well as gardening Willow is also learning alchemy, which requires a bit of insect catching.

Pat was very supportive to Kelly after Garrison died but as usual it didn't last.

"Where on earth did you get that cane from?".

He followed Kelly about for a few days but soon got bored, especially of all the lovey dovey with her ghostly husband.

"Ewwww that's disgusting."

I decided to take a trip to the library then wished I hadn't.

After Grim left I hung about for a bit, I really don't go out much now but when I do nothing much has changed, it's always the same old faces wherever I go, hang on a minute that guy is quite young and the other is in high school so they must be new faces surely? so why do you all have the same face? maybe I need a new pair of glasses.

Much like the greenhouse the alchemy room hasn't been used since Nadia passed away but Willow is putting both to good use now.

I invited round a few of my old fogies, as usual they all claimed to be at deaths door but seemed remarkably well, apart from one of them, apparently she wasn't just at deaths door she'd been let in.

"Not sure what you are crying about I thought you wanted me to take them?".

"We really have to stop meeting like this you know Tracey, people are starting to talk."

"I know but those constant phone calls are driving me nuts, and well you're so good at it."

"Until next time then, oh and tell you're husband I can get him a good deal at Sparkling Sands, two weeks all inclusive with shark bait thrown in."

"Erm........right, thanks."

Spring has finally arrived and with it a visitor.

"Hello again, I was wondering if Willow was home, I was in the neighbourhood and thought I would come and see her."

"She's at work Imsety but she'll be home soon, why don't you come in for a bit."

It's still a little frosty but Kelly had a fiddle with the weather and it's warm enough for a water slide at least.

Willow was surprised to find Imsety there when she came home, a pleasant surprise though I feel.

Unfortunately he couldn't stay for very long, maybe next time.
