Chapter 71: Party Hard But Study Harder

Kelly's time at university is almost at an end, and not a moment too soon as far as Bonehilda is concerned, at least this was one fire she didn't have to deal with.

It's finals day and while it may seem like Kelly has spent more time partying than studying this girl is a genius remember, she's been on the deans list for days.

She sailed through her exams with flying colours.

And went straight to find Garrison and tell him the good news.

"You'll come to my graduation tomorrow won't you?".

"Of course I will."

Time for one more final night of fun.

Why all the swimwear parties Harold? you don't even have a pool.

The hard work is all over and even Bonehilda gets a chance to relax.

Report cards start arriving and it doesn't look too good.

Will Kelly have better luck than her roommates?

She nailed it and got an A!

"Dad, I'm sorry you can't come but I understand, I'll see you soon anyway."

She wasn't alone in any case.

Well done Kelly!

Some fond farewells.

Then it was time to head back home once more, so just what did Kelly learn at university, well for starters she is now as sticky fingered as Dallas and she also realised she's just as lucky as her father, should be good skills for a kleptomaniac chess legend.

What's that on Kelly's back, when she's star gazing with Garrison? I also found it annoying when someone threw a party and then they weren't home and you still receive a text from them x.x

Garrison is quite handsome with the right clothes -  good choice, Kelly. And congrats on your degree!

It's her hair ;D I didn't notice it when I took the screenshot and I was almost tempted to photoshop it out but didn't get around to it. Sometimes I wish the longer hairs moved with the body rather than through it.  ::)

Haha, yes that would have been a bad thing wouldn't it, I actually rarely give sims tattoos as I'm not overly keen on the designs available.

Chapter 72: Family Values

The day after Kelly got home from university her special visitor arrived.

Before he could even step foot inside the house Tad and China came out to give him the parental grilling.

But if he wanted to make a good impression he was going about it the wrong way.

I know Dallas doesn't have the best track record when it comes to being a flirt but even he was less than impressed.

It didn't put Kelly off though, she still asked him to move in.

Not sure if he's having second thoughts though, Garrison had always dreamed of living in the lap of luxury and now he was, but I guess he didn't reckon on it including so many ghosts and people who should have long since been ghosts.

Still at least he can do something more with his life than serve coffee and bagels to lazy students, he has big dreams and wants to be a doctor, which is great for Kelly as she can help him with his logic.

After the initial doubts he soon settles in and it isn't long before he wishes to make it official. Unknown to Kelly while she was away I had been busy investing some of our excess money, it seemed the perfect place for Garrison to ask that all important question.

A quick phone call home and pretty soon we were all dressed up with somewhere to go.

This was by far the smoothest wedding we have ever had, just goes to show what a difference a good venue makes.

But no matter how many archways you have people will always try to go through the same one at once, eventually after much foot stomping and shuffling we all got to the cake.

I hope they will be very happy together.

As for me well I had some explaining to do.

"I hope your not mad at me for this but after you told me not to buy Terra Bella I just wanted to do something and well, our garden weddings had never been that organised."

"Of course I'm not mad at you, it's lovely, and no more fear of melted guests."

Dogwood Lane isn't the most romantic location in town I know, but sometimes it's not where you are but who you are there with.

It was dark by the time we all returned home, barely out of the car and already Kelly's marriage had a problem, even Dallas had the decency to not flirt with another woman on his wedding day and he's evil!

Of course it sent Grace off into one of her panics.

But a few apologies later and everything was okay once more.

Obviously the time had come for Garrison to think about what he wanted out of life, he was no longer young free and single, he was middle aged and married instead.

Dallas may be flirty but he has always put his family first, perhaps it was time for Garrison to do the same. But is it that easy to change your personality? well with today's technology anything is possible.

That was a lovely idea to have the wedding at the old family home. If only you could travel, I can just imagine Kelly and Garrison raiding tombs together. Congratulations to the new couple.

Actually that isn't the Shallow's old home, I bought the empty plot at the end of Dogwood Land near the playground. Weirdly though it is actually the lot I bought for Tracey when I very first made her so it is her and Dallas' family home in a way as it's the plot they built their very first house on.  ;D

Oh I so would have loved to take him adventuring, could have given him the hat and everything, I'll have to do it now instead. :D

71 - 72

I was laughing to see Bonehilda playing billiard. And the next pictures about report card... Oh, my God! That was too funny! The last scene when Kelly wants to go home, she just like plotting something with that face on :P

Garrison looks old, is he an Adult? Oh, yes he is.

Garrison and Kelly are just like a good husband who happens to be a victim to his evil plotting wife in a domestic violence.

Oh Kelly would never do that Eldridge, she's a sweetie really, well most of the time.  ;D

Chapter 73: Waiting

After what feels like an eternity I have finally been given the top job at the school, for ages it seemed like no matter how many lectures I gave or how hard I worked it just wasn't good enough, they even gave me the teacher of the year award but still no promotion, until today that is.

Kelly and Garrison have settled into married life quite nicely.

Stone has added yet another contraption to our house, a plasmatronic gyroscope.

I had a go on it but got promptly dumped out, China though is a natural.

"Here Stone, you're not the only one with a new gizmo, check this out."

"Oh wow a rubber duck!".

"Right how does this thing work."

"When you've quite finished laughing do you think you could help me out."

Kelly also has a new toy.

"Snow in Spring, I don't think so!".

"Sunny weather coming right up."

Kelly decided to delay her career so she could start a family straight away, China is getting on now and may not be with us much longer, and Garrison is quite a bit older than Kelly too.

While she waits for the baby to arrive she has been playing about with the chemistry set, she could in theory make Pat real now as she has the potion but in practice they can't stand each other.

All potions completed she heads to the Gazebo, not much longer now.

But still enough time to start working on her chess ranking.

And catch up with her aunt Sheryl.

Garrison is now working at the hospital, for some reason he's taken to wearing a monocle, I guess it goes with the bow tie though.

All Kelly's tutoring comes back to haunt her when Garrison gets chosen as her next ranked opponent, perhaps she shouldn't have shown him all her tricks.

But then it's just a waiting game.

"I can't decide if I should be screaming in pain or fiendishly delighted by it."

"Oh yes screaming in pain now, Garrison!!".

It didn't stop her rushing of to hospital on her motorbike though leaving Garrison to catch up in the car, silly girl.

But he got there just in time to see little Willow enter the world.

She's a sweet little thing although she does get anxious when we crowd her, I think this one will be a bit of a loner, her attention span isn't great either, seems she got her great great grandfathers absent mindedness too.

I enjoy Kelly expression, so priceless! I was laughing when I saw her face XD

Look at her face! Even that the baby will coming, she looks so evil with that face. Oh, Kelly are you a natural evil empress somehow?

Oh, and Garrison looks good. You did a good job.
Welcome Willow. It's nice to consider the traits that her ancestors have.
Actually I want to wait for several updates, so I can see more what happened next. It’s Kelly fault for bring me here ::)

Chapter 74: Goodbye

China is loving being a grandmother, with Kelly about to start her new job China decided to retire from hers and help raise Willow.

It's also time for Kelly's birthday.

Despite the animosity between them Pat is still around, I guess I will never quite understand the bond between a child and its Imaginary friend.

Although some bonds are obvious.

The weather has been glorious lately, wonder why? well in any case it seemed a good excuse to buy a water slide.

Babies grow up so fast, already it's Willow's birthday.

I can't really see any of her father in her, I assume he was involved somehow else she wouldn't even be here, but she looks all Kelly.

Going to university gave Kelly a head start in her new job but she is way behind on her athletic skills so Tad has been training her.

Garrison is zooming along with his promotions, pretty soon Willow will be zooming about too.

She's not too impressed with the talking though.

Kelly meanwhile is very grateful for her mother's help.

Stone loves being a grandfather, being a great grandfather is even better.

Why does that feel like a wave goodbye.

Next morning China spent some time with her husband, but feeling tired she went upstairs for a nap.

When she woke, it was for the last time.

Grim is less than impressed with not being able to take us immortals.

But before he left he went to check out his next victim to be.

Understandably Garrison wasn't too pleased about that.

We shall all miss China, but none more so than Tad.

Unsurprisingly he chose to channel his grief doing the thing that he loves almost as much as he had loved his wife.

Whatever helps him to get though it.

China is responsible for the rule change about special seeds, I'd let the garden die off with Nadia as we had enough life fruit and death flowers to keep us going, but I have the swift grow stations and I had China pick up a special seed for future planting and when she died she gave it to Grim  :o

I was so gutted at the time thinking that was it game over, but I knew she didn't have a flower on her and further testing proved it was that special seed hence the rule change about keeping them in inventory, weirdly though after getting the go ahead to carry on from my previous save that morning she died at the exact same moment after having a nap, only this time she didn't have any seeds on her, so it was just her time to go apparently.

RIP China. :( May your purple hair live on.

It would have been nice if Willow got something from Garrison (he has a really nice jaw), but she's still cute.

She's not a total clone of her mother, I think he did have some effect on her genetically but there are no obvious features you can pinpoint as his, her eyes are rounder than Kelly's and her chin is a little less pointy so maybe that was his contribution  ;D

As you might guess from Willow's attire in this chapter I got Island Paradise about the time she was born.

Chapter 75: Visits From Other Lands.

Kelly has been drawing some rather unwanted attention our way with all her stargazing of late.

"Oooh look at those pretty lights, hang on is that a.........oh god yes it is............run away!"

"Too late!"

"Silly old fool, why did I have to go and look."

A few nights later our visitor returned, poor Tad as if he hasn't had a hard enough time lately, at least he's too old to get pregnant.

Once Tad took up martial arts with athletics coming secondary there really wasn't any reason for the rest of us not to get fit, so the gym room door was unlocked and with summer here we got ourselves a pool, diving may require a little more practice though.

For some anyway, I never would have expected Stone to be such a natural diver but then he's been bouncing on that trampoline and doing somersaults for years, he's obviously fitter than he looks.

It seems the local police force have got wise to Kelly, she spent more nights in jail than at work this week.

Tad is still grieving for China but a few wise words from Dallas helped.

"She hasn't truly left you Tad, she'll always be with you in here where it matters, even Grim cannot take that away, and when she comes back, and trust me she will, it will be like she never went away."

And just as he predicted China did return and Tad finally found some inner peace in the arms of his beloved wife.

For once Kelly was not carted off to jail while at work so was home to see her daughter celebrate her birthday, being born into such family oriented surroundings it was no wonder it had rubbed off on Willow.

It had been left untouched for generations but finally it was time to put MaryKay's old room to use once more, so it got a new look and some new toys fit for a princess.

Kelly and Pat might not get on but there was no reason for Willow not to invite him to her tea party.

Garrison also had his birthday this week.

As part of her pursuit of logic Kelly does a lot of tutoring, she has helped Garrison a lot with his logic skills, and has been helping Willow with her grades.

But Willow isn't her only student, Kelly first met Imsety Amin in elementary school as a sort of foreign exchange student thing, he was older than her but somehow is now younger, some strange Egyptian secret no doubt, perhaps a hidden fountain of youth in one of the pyramids. Regardless of the age anomaly, or the fact he was Willows age when MaryKay visited Egypt, he makes an excellent student and is a genius to boot.

Being a loner Willow hasn't really made any friends but she does like Imsety and often greets him at the door when he arrives.

With her mother otherwise occupied Willow gets to work on improving her nerd skills.

"Yes! I won."

"I don't think this is what your mother meant by improving your skills Willow."

"No, but it's more fun."

"Indeed it is, lets make this one a two player shall we, what do you reckon, best of three?".

Garrison has aged rather well, I can hardly tell the difference from the day he first arrived, he's also doing well in his career, a recent trip to the park ended in a medical emergency.

And then a berating from the man he had just helped.

Some people are so ungrateful.

Reminds me of somebody else, although for Willow Pat is nothing more than a toy albeit a much loved one.

I don't know what MaryKay did on her trip to Egypt but she really messed the place up, Imsety is an original Egyptian child who should have died a long time ago but on Kelly's first day of school I had her meet new friends and the game found her a teenage Imsety, he seemed to be age stuck as she grew older and he never did but it proved handy when she needed a student for logic purposes as by now the town was devoid of kids again, also when Nadia tutored Tad he gained a logic skill point so that made me nervous of using just Willow.

Elder men actually can get pregnant from an abduction. Tad was just lucky. :P

Foreign sims can be weird, but it seems that Imsety came to the right place at the right time.
