But, that almost made our Kelly as an Insane Sim!

Sorry to disappoint you Eldridge but Kelly is destined for somebody else entirely, I may have considered Pat if he'd had nicer traits but he didn't, plus marrying two generic faced sims in a row I'm lucky to get away with only the nose creeping in on Kelly.

Still with all the arguing and fighting it was just like old times, it had got far too calm in that house since MaryKay died


Chapter 65: Ancestral Footsteps

Kelly has finally finished high school.



She was still unsure about what she wanted to do with her life, but she's going to put that genius of hers to use and try out the chess tournaments, her dad used his body to become a martial arts champion Kelly plans to use her mind to become a Chess Legend.

They may not be talking but Pat hasn't gone too far away.



Tad had a birthday surprise for Kelly.

"How would you like to come with us to Egypt."

"Really? Oh yes please!"



But first she had a graduation ceremony to attend.



She got voted valedictorian and most likely to take over the world, I find that a little worrying, Kelly is still showing signs of being keen on the criminal career, I would really rather she didn't follow in MaryKay's footsteps.



Grace is a bit concerned by it as well when Kelly mentions she is going to go to the warehouse after dinner at the Bistro.



But it turns out she didn't go there for a job, she now owns it and was just checking up on her investment.



Next morning Tad, China and Kelly flew off to Egypt for a nine day break.

"So the plan is you and I will wander about taking in the sights while your father works on his visa level so we can get a holiday home."



"Aghhh bugs!!!"



"Maybe I'm not as cut out for this adventuring business as I thought."



"Hmmm this looks interesting, hang on what was that scraping sound?".



"Do you think dad will be okay?".

"Oh I'm sure he's fine."



"But what if he meets a mummy?".



"Then I'd say that mummy is in for a bad day!".



"Will you women please shut up!! some of us are trying to sleep."



"Dad I can't take it anymore, this place is so noisy, I didn't get any sleep last night, I thought this was meant to be fun?".

"I passed a campsite down the road, why don't you try getting some sleep there while it's quiet, It wont be for long Kelly I promise."



"I'm sorry we aren't spending much time together China, but it will only be a couple more days then we can have a place of our own."

Chapter 66: Home Sweet Home

While Kelly sleeps China goes for an early morning swim.



Then it's off to the market for some late breakfast.

"I'm surprised by the attire around here, I've seen the pictures my great great aunt took and everybody was dressed far more traditional."

"Ah yes but that was some time ago, now as you will see on your travels we dress far differently."



"Almost there, I should have this sorted by tomorrow morning."



"Wow the sky is so clear here, the stars are amazing, hmmm not seen that one before, I should make a note."



Early next morning and Tad finally has his level 3 visa.

"Wow those boots with that hair, seriously? you've really flung traditional dress out the window haven't you".



"Thanks anyway strange lady, it's been a blast!"



"It's just grass, you said we were getting a home."

"And we are Kelly, we are, it just needs to be built first, oh sure there are places we could have bought but none with such a wonderful view and it's well away from the the noisy market."



"Well as long as I finally get a good nights sleep I'm happy."



Luckily Tad knows a fast builder, they were moved in in no time at all, as usual China was designated head cook.



While Kelly got to work on testing the new hot tub.

"Now this is more like it."



"So did I do good?".

"You did great, it's wonderful".



It seems Tad can do no wrong, his lucky streak continues unabated and he's definitely making the most if it.



Kelly has made herself a friend, Wafaa Lufti, he's a bit of a big kid at heart but they get on pretty well, and well she's on holiday so why not play tag with a grown man?



She knew a few things about him but decided she wished to know more.

"Now how does this contraption work, Oh there I can almost grab it, oh missed, oh hang on...got it...........oh he's neat, he likes sculpting........and he has a green thumb.......hmmm".



"I'm sure Gran would love him but I don't know, there's just no fireworks for me."



There was one more thing Tad wished to do before they returned home, finish what MaryKay had started in the copper mine.



"Oh lovely a fiery chasm, well I guess I better get settled in then."




"Is that it? just another old relic, hours of meditation just for that, typical."



"We are going home today, but I really had fun and I'm glad I met you."

"Me too, will you come back?".

"I'm not sure, perhaps you could come and visit Riverview sometime."



"Hello Wafaa? it's Kelly, how are you? I'm okay but I wish I'd stayed with you in Egypt, it's freezing here!".

Hmm, I wonder if Wafaa is the guy for Kelly. Congrats on the holiday home, it looks lovely.

Travelling is really fun for release the steam from a dynasty boring life and stress before the Watcher going insane That also good for another storytelling purpose! I'll love to have my Sims travelling again :3
But, having too long travelling time too can make me bored. I just want to go home if I don't find anything useful as my purpose

So, Wafaa is the chosen one? What about Pat's fate? Is he will banished for good? Or he will be a new addition for family member? I guess that I must wait to find out.

I enjoy traveling a lot unfortunately it all started to go wrong so I had to stop, with hindsight I think MaryKay started it because she was an unmarried sim when I sent her to Egypt, I had a lot of those social jig mats appear during this trip, the base camp was littered with them and they made routing terrible, plus I started getting the random foreign kid trouble after this visit if I went back there, Rica advised me not to travel again, such a shame as I wanted to go adventuring with Tad 

As for Wafaa, almost everybody I met that trip was generic looking yet he was quite strikingly Egyptian I liked that about him, but you'll just have to wait and see if Kelly felt the same 

Took me an eternity to load that trip, I hadn't been there for so long the game had to repopulate the entire town, hence the weird fashion and a lot of generic sims, I think the game gave up trying to make them unique after a while.



Chapter 67: And Then There Were Four

Holidays over Tad and China returned to work, China got promoted to the top spot today, they also presented her with a special trophy.



I've finished Kelly's museum pieces already, working full time means I have to get them out of the way as soon as I get a chance now.



Nadia has been about more lately, Stone still hasn't mastered the slow dance, you twirl the lady Stone, how many more times do I have to tell you that?



Sometimes being able to go through walls is not always a good thing, Dallas really needs to learn to knock, poor Kelly will she ever get to shower in peace.



Bonehilda is a strange thing, she reminds me of a cat, if a cat knows you don't like them it will make sure to put itself in your presence at every available opportunity just to annoy you.



Or scare the living daylights out of you.



"Hah I'll show you Grim, you'll never get me and after tomorrow you won't get my dad either."



"Well that sorted you out".



"Oh hello, erm it's snowflake day not spooky day, and where's your costume? you kids just expect candy for nothing."



The day after snowflake day we all got up early to celebrate Tad and China's birthday.



I wasted no time getting all his museum pieces sorted, would Tad get to have his ambrosia on his birthday?



But just as his portrait was almost done his phone rang, Dina Leyva had died, it would seem Tad's luck had finally run out, or had it?

Nadia had dabbled throughout her life in Alchemy and had left us a few little presents behind, so armed with one of his mothers potions Tad took a trip to the park and shortly after came home with a new best friend, Maricela Figueroa, yet another child he knew from my daycare.

Late evening Tad finally sat down to his special birthday meal.



As Dallas and myself watched the halfway milestone happen Kelly just had to pipe in.

"You do realise you've just made things harder for yourself, imagine how much easier tombs would be if you could just float through the walls like Grandad Dallas."



Somehow I don't think Tad will mind taking the long route, after all he has all the time in the world now.

Chapter 68: Decisions

Kelly invited her new friend Wafaa Lufti for a visit.



"Guys he came to see me don't hog him."



But for some unknown reason Grace didn't take to Wafaa very well.



Neither did Stone.



Kelly likes him though, could love be in the air for these two?



Apparently not.



Still Wafaa had a nice time and they will always be best friends.



"So come on then spill the beans, how was it?".

"Oh okay I guess, I do like him Gran but there's just no spark between us, I want fireworks and butterflies, he just doesn't do that for me."



"Well I'll say the same thing to you I said to Grace, you're young Kelly, you have time and when you find the right person trust me you will know, then it will be a veritable firework display."



"Now young lady isn't it about time you decided what you want to do with your life? a clever girl like you would do well at university."



"I have often thought about that chat we had when I was younger, I know you tried to dissuade me but Gran it's what I have always wanted to do, I'm not saying I'll follow MaryKay down that branch, I might decide to be more like Grandad Dallas instead."

"But you don't have sticky fingers like him."

"Oh I'm sure they can teach me that at University."



"Does this mean you'll go? Oh Kelly I'm so pleased, and your parents will be thrilled."



Kelly got straight to work filling in her application form.



And then showing off her aptitude test results, she got 18 credits for both business and technology.






"Gran, I'm going to miss you."

"It's only for two weeks Kelly." Anybody would think she was leaving home for good.



"Now go make us all proud."



Her bags packed Kelly left for two weeks of study, parties and hopefully some fireworks.

Chapter 69: Studious Studier

It was early morning on Sunday when Kelly arrived at her new home for the duration of her stay, De Anda Hall.

"Look at her hair, I wonder if she has Imaginary Friend ancestry too?".



But it seems Liz Tarry was just making a fashion statement.

"Ooh I like your hair, what shade is that? I use Violent Violet on mine."

"Erm this is my natural colour, my mother has it too."



"Natural, what kind of freak are you? nobody has hair that colour."

"Well at least I'm not faking it."



Things improved slightly when she went inside and met another of her roommates, Walter Fullman.

"He's sort of cute in a nerdy way."



Within hours she had her first party invite, to the frat house no less, her roommates got invited too.




But next morning it was down to business, literally as her first business lesson of the day began.



Lesson over it was time to explore campus a bit more, the coffee shop seemed a good place to start, well hello boys.



Lectures are soooooo boring.



Every day there seems to be yet another invitation, these frat boys sure like their parties, not so great at laundry though.



And when she wasn't partying she was keeping up her nerdiness with Walter.



"If this is what working in an office is like they can keep it, so much paperwork."



A party free night means a bit of piece and quiet and a relaxing game of chess in her room.



While Kelly was attending her lessons her roommate Nicole was busy trying to burn the house down.



Thankfully Kelly had a hidden ally in the war against hopeless messy students, Bonehilda!



Which was a good thing as they had a bad habit of setting the place on fire.



With the first weeks lessons over it was time to really let her hair down, and get her clothes off for a swimwear Juice kegger party, woo!



Unfortunately all the juice in the world couldn't make this party any less lame.



Although it did cause a slight case of the beer goggles when she met an elderly alien gentleman on her way home.

"Oooh hello gorgeousssss, I like you, you have nice pointy things there.....those sticky out listeny bits.....ears! yes that's it nice pointy ears."



With that she stumbled inside and crashed into bed leaving a rather confused Alien standing on the doorstep.

Haha, I loved juiced Kelly. Wow, so many potential future spouses, she's spoilt for choice.

I know, there were hearts flying all over the place, being rich and skilled meant every male she met fired the attraction messages, I decided just to let her keep meeting people until she gave me a sign who she was interested in rather than me doing any matchmaking of my own, it was great fun though having so many options after Riverview had been practically empty of young people for so long.

The only regret I have about Uni is it broke my family tree between Grace and Stone, at the time I wished I hadn't sent her but then if I hadn't she wouldn't have met her husband, gen six would have been somebody else and I might have missed out on what came after, so no I wouldn't change it now 

Caused some awkward moments though between mother and son, and then there's Tracey's hugging problem

Chapter 70: Hungover and Homesick

Fed up with all those lame parties Kelly decided to show those frat boys how it's really done.

"Lift me up Harold."



"Oh god, Kelly are you alright?".



"Yeah, no thanks to you."



It seemed word of Kelly's party was spreading, there were gate crashers galore, who is that guy anyway? at least he was enjoying himself.



By now Kelly and Walter were the best of friends.



And despite dropping her she also had a soft spot for Harold Assange.



Yet no matter how juiced she got she never went further than a leap into Harold's arms, the party had gone on all day but the sound of sirens outside sent everybody running, still they all agreed it was a killer party, see boys that's how you do it.



Time to get some sleep then.



Ouch! luckily Walter was only slightly squashed, Bonehilda is secretly trying to kill them off I think as she keeps closing the murphy beds.



Kelly grew up in a home full of nerds so it was only natural that when she felt a bit homesick she gravitated to nerd central, Keith's Comics.

There she met the pinnacle of nerdiness, Garrison Fort, the nerdy specs, the sandals and Llama top, this guy was a super nerd if ever I saw one.



But she didn't stay long, there was another party to attend, this time another frat boy Mahmoud Yavari was the host.



Kelly had certainly had her fair share of fireworks during her time here but only one person had captured her heart.



Was it Walter? or maybe Harold? or could it be the one who reminded her the most of home.



He's nerdy, likes to read, and flirt, is a great kisser, has trouble sleeping just like Kelly and is as lucky as her dad, no wonder it was love at first sight.



Despite already having a business degree Garrison works around campus on the various registers and Barista bars, when she couldn't find him at the comic store Kelly went on a hunt and eventually tracked him down to the coffee shop.




Next day was yet another of Harold's lame swimwear parties, they were so bad Harold didn't even bother to attend them anymore, one of the guests tried to liven things up a little though.



It got a bit more interesting after Kelly rang Garrison and asked him to come over, although the sight of Kelly in her swimwear was a bit much for him.



It was a wonderful clear night, perfect for a bit of stargazing.




"Garrison, meeting you has been the best thing that has happened to me since I got here, I can't imagine a life without you in it anymore, will you be my boyfriend?"



They stayed there the rest of the night until Garrison had to leave for work.



But she couldn't let him go without a kiss, something she had longed to do from the moment she first laid eyes on him.

Aw, yay for Kelley finally finding someone who can make her little sim heart flutter. I loved her "juice goggles" causing her to flirt with elderly alien.

67 - 70

Bonehilda just want to have fun like everybody else. She just a minor character in your story, so she has a little appearance
Congratulations on Immortality, Tad! I just love his museum especially his photos! How did you do that?

I just love how Kelly shows off her result to everyone! Their face was so priceless!

I just love how Kelly has heart from everyone! She so popular! I agree, my Sims always sleep at class either. Haha, so you bought Bonehilda too? Alien seems rarely come out except abducting my Sims frequently.

Glad that Kelly just enjoying her university life. I never had my Sims have partying, just studying all along lol. And the strange thing was when they invite my Sim to party, but they’re not home when my Sim visit them -_-

I used move objects to line the photos up together, it is nice seeing them all in a row like that, I took toddler pics in the high chair and tried to time it when they look up at the sim taking the photo.

I honestly expected Kelly to go for Harold or possibly Walter but she didn't, then she met Garrison and the moment she said hello she rolled the wish to kiss him, no offense to the guy but he wasn't exactly looking his best at the time, that comic store uniform isn't very flattering 

It was the first time as a player I'd encountered Garrison as well so I went to look him up on the wiki and found out he's Indiana Jones! well no wonder she wanted him. I love finding the little easter eggs EA put in this game.

Harold was never at home for his parties other than the first one she attended, I find that annoying as well, Kelly had the luxury of a moodlet manager on her Uni trip so that helped a lot, plus I renovated her dorm room with a good bed and her own shower and toilet and she had a stack of dried food to eat on the go. I also got her a spa package before she left that saw her through the first week stress free, wish there was a spa at Uni.
