“A Fishing Trip”Moth is excited - he is going on his first fishing trip with James.
James: So, Moth, you seem very interested in how things work.
Moth: Yes! I want to understand everything.
James: Do you think you’d like to learn how to fix things that are broken? Our family inventory is full of broken stuff.
Moth: Doesn’t anybody else know how to fix them?
James: Radar used to fix things for us, but he died. Since then, we’ve just been putting away the broken things. We could sure use someone who is good at fixing things.
[Editor’s note: James is telling the truth, but not the whole truth. It is true that Radar was the clan’s handyman. What James isn’t saying is that he, himself, has level 9 handiness and could easily do any necessary repairs. But he has been avoiding maximizing his Handiness skill, hoping for a later generation to specialize in it.]
Moth: Do you think I’d be good at fixing things?
James: I think you’d be very good at it.
Moth: I caught a fish! My first fish!
The whole time James has been trying to have a private conversation with his many-times-great grandson, the usual paparazzo has been circling, taking photographs, writing about them, and getting in the way of screenshots.
As a friendly sim, James has never been mean to anyone in his life. But he is getting fed up. The paparazzo’s car has been parked in front of his house continuously for weeks, day and night. He had to build a high wall around the yard to keep the paparazzi from monopolizing the trampoline. He feels as if he’s living in a fish bowl.
James puts down his fishing rod and goes over to talk to the woman.
He tells her to leave him and his grandson alone.
Good riddance!
