Schipperke, I'll be starting the Immortal Dynasty Hall of Fame soon. You may very well be the first entry. My family's on vacation now, but I'll be checking in. So, if you post your final info then I'll try and get the thread posted shortly after.

Too funny! I doubt that that's the same red James has...

Just out of interest, did you use gloves with the same hex code as his hair?

No, I just eyeballed it.  I figured it was close enough.

Such a cute update!  I'm really going to hate seeing this Dynasty come to an end.  It's been so entertaining.  :)

“Musicians All”

Now that he is a teenager, Moth can finally start learning to play an instrument.  He chooses to emulate his hero James, and takes up the drums.  Here his blond roots are beginning to show.

Dynasty finally gets a gig to play at Waylon’s.  Mojo, Millie and Molly arrive and just stand around refusing to play.  I think they’re waiting for Radar but he doesn’t appear.  Notice that Mojo is holding the bar’s guitar.

After trying repeatedly to get the band to play, I finally send them home.  Mojo apparently decided to help himself to a souvenir.

If you’ve been reading this story from the beginning, you may recall that Mojo was something of a bad boy in his youth.  He doesn’t have the kleptomaniac trait, but his behaviour certainly caused his elders a great deal of anxiety when he was younger.  Is he up to his old tricks?  He refuses to put down the stolen guitar when he eats -

Here he is trying to play his own guitar while still holding the one from Waylon’s.

Finally James decides to confront Mojo.  See what they’re talking about?  I don’t think there’s any doubt that James is pointing out the risks of getting into trouble with the law.  Probably James is feeling quite self-righteous after finally returning Agnes Crumplebottom’s car, and he no doubt feels justified in  lecturing Mojo.  Whatever they’re saying, Mojo has finally let go of the guitar, and we’re very grateful for that.

The whole clan jamming together on Thursday afternoon.

Closeup of the drum section.

That was a funny update! It's pretty weird how he held it while eating and playing a different guitar. :D

Ha ha ha, Moth is great character, I love him! And Mojo is really something, stealing a guitar, and showing it off to everyone. It seems that drinks have even more influence on him than nectar! Eagerly waiting for more ;D

“Moth Grows Up and Gains a Lot of Happiness”

The childhood days have flown by.  Moth is ready to grow up.  The family gathers round to cheer and clap.

Moth’s new trait is Lucky, and it seems to be working for him already.  He chooses the Living in the Lap of Luxury LTW, which requires a gain of $100,000 in household net worth (the household net worth has to reach $13,723,000).  I figure he can go collect the rents that have been accumulating and that should put him over the top.  But as soon as I select that LTW for him, the message comes up that he has already completed it!  I have no idea how that happened, but he was able to get several nice LTRs with his happiness points.

Moth is proud to don his new kilt, the garment of many generations of brave warriors before him.  The last of the Douglases brings his own inimitable style to the kilt.  This boy will play a very important role in the last days of the dynasty.  Impressive, isn’t he?

Here he is waiting in line for his slice of cake.  If you look at the expression on Wimsey and Christie’s faces, I don’t think they’re very impressed with Moth’s outfit.

After the party, he goes on line to make his real estate purchases.  His choices:  The consignment shop and the Science facility.

He and James go over to the Science building to tour their new property.

James:  Well?  What do you think?
Moth:  Their facilities look pretty good to me.
James:  You know, you won’t be starting as a researcher right away.  You’ll have to start at the bottom.  But you’re smart, it won’t take you long to work your way up.
Moth:  I can do it.
James:  Oh, I know you can, lad.  Just remember - we’re all counting on you.  The others don’t know it yet, but the future of our dynasty may depend on you.  So you work hard, and be sure to keep me updated - I want to know all about what you’re doing.
Moth:  You got it.

“Here’s Lookin’ at you, Kids”

This picture was meant to be part of Moth’s birthday story, obviously.  But when I enlarged it to look at, I knew it deserved its own post.  Even if you don’t usually bother to click on my pictures and enlarge them, I encourage you to take a closer look at this one.

You’ve heard of portraits where the eyes seem to follow you as you move?  Try it, I dare you.  And that little half smile on his lips - I swear he knows we’re here looking at him.  Mona Lisa isn’t the only one with an enigmatic smile!

Moth's personal style is quite fun!

His eyes do seem to know that you are watching them all very closely!
You've played too much TS3 when ... your 13 month old's babble sounds like Simlish!

I am sure Moths family will be very proud of him. He looks very proud to be wearing the kilt.

I love your outfit choices! He looks so bachelor style with that t-shirt! But, he still makes the family somewhat proud for him to still wear the kilt! I've enjoyed this story from the beginning, I'll be grieving when it ends... :'(

“Big and Little Events”

The big event is that Molly has finally maximized her piano skill, to complete her Renaissance Sim LTW.

She will be having her Elder birthday in less than a week, so it’s good to have the LTW out of the way.  The only thing left for her to work on is the 6 best friends.  That used to be easy - have them socialize at school or work, buy the Long Distance Friend LTR, and as long as nobody died, everything was fine.  But ever since I made the mistake of allowing one of the Dynasty to socialize with a celebrity, keeping friends has been a lot harder.  My sims keep being falsely accused of ridiculous things, which gives them a couple of negative moodlets and causes them to lose friends, even with the LTR.  In my most recent day of gameplay, three of the household were falsely accused of something-or-other, and all of them lost at least 2 friends - one of them lost 5.  I don’t think I’ll ever allow a sim of mine to pursue celebrity again.  Anyway, Molly is going to have to go out looking for sims to befriend before her birthday.

I’ve always liked watching sims spar.  Mojo won this match, but I think James looks great in his tartan tam.

It was bitterly cold here today - windchills of around -35 degrees (that’s Celsius; I think it’s around -30 Fahrenheit).  I was wishing I had some of this flame fruit nectar to warm me up.  The floating bookcase is rather nice too.
