She's really pretty! :D But, won't she cause bugs? And also, doesn't Sleuth asking her to sleep over count as a romantic social?

Bugs?  Hush your mouth!  ;D Oh, please, I do hope not.  We've had our share of those already in this game.

As for Sleuth asking her to sleep over, it was in the "Friendly" interactions, so I don't think it's a romantic social.

Camille is very cute. And when you were saying about how tough it is to find mates I was going to suggest travel (if you're that brave!) ;D

Ladylaw, I'm really not that brave!  We've already had one mysterious foreign child in this Dynasty and a broken family tree, so I'm not taking any chances.  I'm just glad Camille turned up when she did.

When my married Sim tried to use the friendly "Do you want to spend the night?" action on the maid, all of her kids got the "Witnessed Betrayal" moodlet.

Well, that's interesting.  Perhaps my experience was different because Camille was a foreign resident, and anyone with a friend relationship can invite them to stay over.  Thank you for bringing this up - it's a bit of Sim lore that I wasn't aware of.

Sigh! I know. Travel's a really great strategy for this dynasty but its so buggy that if I do finally get past the first generation I might not be tempted to trust the fate of travel. Great job so far and as far as Camille, she's not showing signs now so go knock on some wood :)

Can't wait to see her secret contribution.

Unfortunately, her contribution will remain classified secret until very near the end of the game.  By then, probably everyone will have forgotten about it!  :D

Getting a Sim married off after the first generation has always been my biggest hurdle/nightmare!  As you said, they are either married/committed, bad personalities or something else hideously wrong so they can't be candidates.

That baby sitter bug is really weird.  My gen 2 has aged properly into an adult, however a good friend of his from high school is STILL a high school baby sitter!  I imagine if he weren't already married and went for her she'd reach haghood the minute the ring was on her finger!

I love how Radar handled the situation.  He sounded so calm but I sensed a breaking heart inside as he struggled with what must be.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Camille has several good skill-related traits, so I naturally assume her LTW will relate to one of those traits.  With just 7 days to go until she becomes an elder, it may not be possible to complete her LTW, but I’m going to try.  Then she joins the family and I learn that her LTW is to reach the top of the Journalism career.  Journalism?  With traits of Athletic, Virtuoso, Green Thumb, Friendly and Loner?  Puzzled as to how she could have come up with that LTW, I check Carl’s guide and find that it must have been her Friendly trait.  I do think the Sports or Music career would have been easier for her.  Oh, well. The morning after the wedding in the bathroom, she gets a job as a paper boy and is immediately put on maternity leave.  I figure she can use the time to work on her writing skill, as she has no skills at all.  As a loner, she is happiest when she’s alone, so I build a small writing room and send her off to it.

Three days later, Mojo gets his wish to have a daughter:

Meet Millie, Generation 6.  Birthdate Week 26, Day 2.  Traits so far:  Friendly and Good.  Here we have Generation 1 and Generation 6:

I am at odds with the Sims about where Millie should spend her time.   I want her in the living room except when she’s sleeping.  Here she is lying on the living room floor:

In the living room she can benefit from the music, incense, and the good fridge moodlets.  I figure she can accumulate a couple thousand happiness points by the time she ages up to Toddler.  But the sims keep trying to put her in her crib, away from all the sources of positive moodlets.  I have to constantly watch them and stop them from putting her to bed.  It looks a bit odd - well, it looks neglectful - to leave a baby lying on the floor, but why not, if she’s happier there?

Why don't you put the crib in the room you want MIllie to be.
Great update as usual, you are a very talented writer.

Rachel

That's a good idea, except I'm so absent-minded, I know I'd forget to move it back to the bedroom (away from the music) when she needed to sleep.  Thanks for the comment.

You could also have a culinary Sim watch tv, or a fishing Sim, or whatever, and hold Millie at the same time.  Two birds, etc.  Putting a crib in the room is a pretty simple fix though. (Note to self:  put second crib in living room)

You could leave her in the crib in the living room, so she could just sleep there. Unless you would be so irritated at it being so out of place! Like me!

How did I miss this many great updates!?
First, I really like how you developed Radar's character, and how mysticism is incorporate in story. For a sec I thought that Immortals influenced Radar to lie to Mojo, but based on his developed character I would say he didn't lied to his brother. Or maybe he did, for higher purpose? love how you make me thing about this story!
Second, Camille is a nice catch! You could use LTR to change her LTW since she is mortal.
6th generation.. that is a BIG CONGRATULATION! And I bet house is full with so many generations!
It's sad that you have to hope for Radar and Camille to die soon so Millie can get married and have daughter. She will be the last one to get married..
And about crib and all, with full home, it's hard to keep everyone away from putting her in crib. Maybe, to have a crib in living room and to control TV and Stereo to be shut down while she's asleep and have a reserve hang around area for adults?
Excellent work, I'm so happy for Douglas Clan ;D

Birthdays!

First, Millie:

Finally, a descendant with red hair like James!  Yay!

Two days later, Mojo and Radar become adults:

For some reason, every time Mojo ages up he takes on this hairdo:

Doesn’t he know how silly it looks?  He looks like he got caught in a wind tunnel.  No way I’m letting him go around looking like that.  But then, this is the fellow who decided to get married in the bathroom, so I guess aesthetic considerations aren’t high on his list of priorities.

The day after Mojo and Radar’s birthday, Camille’s maternity leave ends.  She has managed to accumulate enough happiness points to buy the Multitasker reward, which will help her get promoted and maybe have a chance of achieving her LTW.  Shiny new reward in hand, she heads off to work and manages to earn a promotion that day.  That evening, she becomes an elder.
