Looking for a mod that let's me look into houses

Never seen one do this but I am hoping there is one out there.  I want to be able to look at homes from edit town mode that are already owned.  Currently to do so I would have to evict people and then go in and edit it.  Is there not a mod that will allow me to click on a home that is currently owned but still go in and look at it?  I thought Twallans home opener would let me do it but it doesn't.

Twallen's Master Controller lets you do that. Very simple. Just click on Master Controller and Open. There's also an option to Close once you've taken your peek.

To use Open and Close with Master Controller you have to be in play mode play mode. It doesn't help in edit town mode.

You can do it without a mod. Turn on testing cheats, shift-click on the property, select Build or Buy. This opens the house to you and you can even make changes to it.

that doesn't seem to work

used the testingcheatsenabled true before opening up sunset valley
opened up sunset valley
went into edit town mode
shift click on an owned property brings up the display for the property but no build/buy option

tried to use testingcheatsenabled true after town had been opened, still got nothing.

maybe it has been disabled recently?

You don't use edit town with this method. After turning on testing cheats, you stay in Line Mode and shift-click the property to see the build and buy options.

ooooooooh.....well that works just fine.  so this will be good when I am editing in a world I am playing or want to play in.  although doing this doesn't allow me to save the home to my library.  I guess I will have to stick to the evict, edit, save to library if I just find a cool house I want in my library....but editing for play I can do it the shift click way.  bonus for me I can have it both ways now.

Also to note, when editing a home by shift clicking on it in play mode anything you build or buy isn't free like it is in edit town mode. It will come out of your sims money.

Remember you must do this in live mode, not edit town. You can shift click on the ground and "build on this lot" after opening it. It will take funds from your active families amount, not the target family though.
