The bubbles made the bachelorette party that much more magical. Beautiful, beautiful wedding. I'm sad for Rufus having missed it to fix up the house.

Glad to know that Isabelle has heart for poor Rufus. His dad might be the trouble, but I see no harm from Rufus. Demelza seems enjoying herself, I love the randomness in one picture though. When I can see one toddler show up and drink his/her bottle ::)

I just love Edwin previous hair, too bad that he doesn't have that hair anymore. Is that unavailable? Or you just bored and want to change his hair style?

What is that child doing at Bachelorette party? I thought that party just for restricted guest only  :o

I've got to admit Isabelle makes a really awesome mom. She might be mean and vengeful, but she loves her kids. Bonus points to her for being an awesome step-mommy to Rufus!
I thought it was absolutely adorable when I read this part:
Quote
Rufus sniffled and nodded. She still looked a bit cross, but it was the face Rufus had come to know over the years. Aunt Isabelle was not an easy person---but he loved her very much, whether she was aware of it or not.
What made it even better was that Isabelle didn't need to get sappy or change her character at all to get such a response out of Rufus. I'll be very interested to see what the note means about Rufus though...

The bubbles made the bachelorette party that much more magical. Beautiful, beautiful wedding. I'm sad for Rufus having missed it to fix up the house.

He jumped on to cleaning it all on his own because he had the neat trait and everyone was headed out of the house by the time he got home, so he wasn't dressed or anything for the party so I just set him to tidying up.

Glad to know that Isabelle has heart for poor Rufus. His dad might be the trouble, but I see no harm from Rufus. Demelza seems enjoying herself, I love the randomness in one picture though. When I can see one toddler show up and drink his/her bottle ::)

Demelza has a complete mind of her own. I don't even know how her preference got set to girls, but there it is. She was dating Bianca before I could even stop it. As for the toddler, that's Bianca's little brother whom I didn't notice until after the fact. Haha.

I just got tired of Edwin's hair style. =3 It's not that I don't have it, I just though he should have a neater hairstyle in his Young Adulthood.

I don't know how he got in, I really don't. Angelo shows up in a lot of random places actually, I think he's glitched. Even parties with restricted access that he wasn't invited to, he shows up at. Cipriana's wedding? He wasn't invited, but he was still there. And everyone was booing and heckling.

I've got to admit Isabelle makes a really awesome mom. She might be mean and vengeful, but she loves her kids. Bonus points to her for being an awesome step-mommy to Rufus!

Isabelle has the Family-Oriented trait so she naturally gravitates towards all the kids. I want to play her off as a good mom because she is! She's rough around the edges, but she's the best parent out there. I can't have her be pure evil, I don't want her to be. And she's actually quite fond of Rufus, I've noticed.

First off, I aplogize for taking so long to update. I have some tests coming up, plus a final so my life just took a huge uni focused turn. But I found myself with a free afternoon so here I am!

Also, I know I said I would be writing this from Edwin's perspective, but when I started doing that it felt very strange. And it wasn't nearly as entertaining, so we're back to the Watcher perspective.

12: Isabelle Gets Her Way...Again

Edwin and Cipriana were occupied with one another for most of the night which left me to gently nudge Alessandra to continue a quest given to her by Isabelle shortly after she married Marrick.

Alessandra had since been diligently working at the Alchemy table and making regular visits to the Elixir shop in hopes to either make or buy (whichever happened first) a few things Isabelle was looking for. Why she wanted these particular elixirs, she wouldn’t say, more keen to keeping to her usual enigmatic manner. But Alessandra followed her orders willingly---makes you wonder why Isabelle really chose Alessandra as Marrick’s wife, doesn’t’ it?

The night after the wedding was a full moon, and it must’ve had a good effect on the shop’s inventory.

“What’chu havin’, miss?”

“Erm…” Alessandra started, “Vial of Bottled Genie?”

“The full moon’s nice to ye. Here you go. Have plans for that bun in your oven there?”

Alessandra shook her head and asked for one more thing—none in stock. And so, she left the and was stopped by Marrick the second she got home.

“You’re home!”

“Mhm. And I got what your mom was looking for. I—ahh! Marrick!” Alessandra giggled.

“I’m trying to see if I can tell what gender it’ll be.”

“You’re not far enough in the medical career for that, hun.”

“It’s worth a shot.

“Hey there, little guy or girl. I don’t care what you are, just come out happy and healthy. And don’t hurt you mommy on the way out.”

Alessandra laughed again. Pregnancy looked great on her, making her cheery disposition brighter still. Marrick leaned in and kissed his wife which illicited a very loud ‘Awwwww’ from your’s truly. Never in all my years as Watcher have I seen a happier little couple.

“I love you. I know how rushed it was that we got together---birthdays and proposals and we barely knew each other. But I’m glad my mom did that to me…I would have never had the nerve to talk to you and then I would have never been so happy.”

The next day, Isabelle got a very strong desire to go see Giacomo Modena, her boss in the criminal career track. Upon arrival, Isabelle found that Giacomo wasn’t home, but there were two toddlers sitting on the doorstep and a woman named Florence Modena was home.

Uninterested, she swiped candy from both of them, then sat down on the bench and waiting for Giacomo to come home. She was fussed at by Florence for being ‘inappropriate’ but that certainly wasn’t going to stop her.

“Oh. Mrs. Morae, hi.”

“None of that Mrs. Morae nonsense, Giacomo. It’s Isabelle.”

Giacomo laughed, “Yes, Yes. Still, I’m your superior…I’m supposed to be formal.”

“How a Getaway Car driver is above Empress of Evil is beyond me, but it is what it is.”

“Either way, you’re welcome into my home.”

Isabelle put on that charming little smile of her’s that won over her first husband as she walked into the house, “I just dropped by for a minute to ask about my work performance…it seems we’re not in the best standing are we? And it’s keeping that performance bar of mine down.”

“Well…to say you’re a bit focused on your side jobs would be an understatement.”

Isabelle withdrew her wand, her eyes glancing over to a woman who stood in the corner of the room with a baby wrapped in a blanket snuggled in her arms. The witch rolled her eyes and pointed her wand at Giacomo, “Let’s see if we can’t fix that.”

At this point, nature called for Giacomo and it was up to Isabelle to make sure she was the first person he spoke to. Love Charms are tricky. The charmed Sim will fall head over heels in love with the first person they talk to. And of course, Isabelle intended for that to be her. Not Florence, Giacomo’s wife and the mother of his children. She was completely uninterested in the effects it might have on their little family. The only family that mattered was her own, so what if someone else’s got torn in the process? HER family had to stay secure and happy. And securing regular raises by getting her performance bar up was one way to do that.

“Well, Giacomo, it was nice to visit. But I think I should be getting home now.” Isabelle said sweetly.

“Wait…” Giacomo breathed, and Isabelle stared into his eyes, feigning a look of curious innocence as she said, “Yes?”

“Oh, wow…I wasn’t expecting that.” She lied

“I think your work performance is secured now. Expect a raise soon, beautiful.”

Isabelle (really did) laugh a little as she left the bathroom. Florence had officially kicked her out for being inappropriate, but she did get to stick around long enough to see Florence smack her husband silly.

The night before, Alessandra had handed over the Genie potion she bought. So when she got home from Giacomo’s, it was time to do what she’d been planning to do. In the back of her mind, the letter Isadora sent her was eating away at her. How would RUFUS of all people determine the birth of the next generation? As if on queue, Rufus came into Isabelle’s master bathroom to clean…while SHE was in there.

“Watcher knows I taught you to knock!”

“Sorry, Aunt Izzy!”

“Ugh…come out here. I have something to give you. It’ll make your job in the family easier.”

“What—What did you do to me?! Why did you do this? I didn’t want to be a genie!”

And that’s when Isabelle really put Rufus in his place for the first time since she’d taken him in.

“Everyone has their jobs in this house. Your’s is to clean. There’s a birthday cake waiting downstairs for you so you can harness your full power. Trust me, you will not regret being a genie. And don’t you ever raise your voice at me like that again.”

Obediently, Rufus went downstairs and used the birthday cake to age up.

Despite having been yelled at and apparently not being the favorite member of the family, Isabelle gave him one of the nicest rooms in the house. He converted Damien’s old bedroom and set it up just for Rufus---no one else would be allowed in. It was his and his alone. He deserved that much.

And in case you weren’t aware, Cipriana was puking quite a bit since the night before. Later in the day after Rufus as converted, she spun into maternity wear. And Alessandra spun out of it! Marrick was of no help.

Rufus was of no help.

Welcome to the world, Cianna Morae!

The next few days were just blissful Morae life. The little lull that always happens in between Isabelle’s big plots. Marrick made potions and got promoted at work, Alessandra played mommy and worked at the Alchemy table, and then a very pregnant Cipriana decided it was okay to walk around in her lingerie.

She was on her way to the nursery to play with Cianna when she stopped and started screaming. When I focused in on her, the baby was well on it’s way. She was actually huffing and puffing for quite a while before she gave up and went into the nursery (Or rather, I moveobjects her into the nursery because she was getting that ‘I’m Cold’ moodlet that comes with seasons and I didn’t want her to freeze to death while in labor or after it)

Welcome to the world, Paolo Morae!

He was born with the Insane and Grumpy traits. Makes for a very worried Watcher. Cianna aged into a toddler on the same day Paolo was born as well, and she is turning out to be the most adorable mix of Marrick and Alessandra.

Things are running so smoothly in the house. That can’t last for so long…

Silly Giacomo, thinking he can get away with being married to anyone other than a watched house!

I love where this is going, but I feel you on the whole "real life sucks right now" bit. Best of luck in schooling and come back whenever you feel you've got time! Though it won't prevent me from wanting to read more right now! :D

Real life first as priority! That is the rules for not ruining your life. I can always see your story through my bookmark anyway.

You're really good capturing your Sims emotion. So far I liked it; the uninterested Isabelle part is my favorite one.

Other than that, good job for gaining more useful Slave.

Genie is useful in so many way, especially for ruining someone life using their ability. But, I hope that Rufus story didn't ended up tragically and too bad, no high heel for him or effeminate Rufus to see in your story after what his father taught since he’s a toddler :P

What a waste, lol ;D

Sadly, this is the last we'll see of Cianna. But she was fun to have while she was in the house. It was purely by chance that Giacomo was her boss and this happened (though I'd be lying if I said she hadn't popped wishes about him before)

Silly Giacomo, thinking he can get away with being married to anyone other than a watched house!

Ahahaha XD Giacomo is a hot commodity apparently. But yes, I've got a close eye on him. I'm glad you like where it's going because I sometimes have a hard time keeping it all straight in my head!

I keep thinking that Isabelle is sort of like Isadora's id. And then I remember how outdated that idea is.

You are totally bringing me back to the days of my good ol' psychology class. I could totally see Isabelle being Isadora's id, and Isadora is the Superego, or maybe Isabelle is the Ego with a wild side? Oh man, ideas keep rolling in!
Good twin/bad twin.
It's her MOTHER.
Cousin, twice removed?
Bitter person from the future who wants Isabelle to suffer.
Long lost relative of some sort?

I'm no writer myself but I love when a writer take attention to so many details especially for what you say, emotions and descriptions with the right words and I admit you're a very good writer for playing your reader emotion just like that. You don’t know how I feel when I read your story it’s like that if I am there I will do something to Isabelle for not treating Rufus like that. Or I will join the other children who aware about Isabelle plot and leave home and I will join them to hold a protest against Isabelle  ;)

So, I take a different route from being a reader, who always gives a good comment toward the character in the story, I'm being a reader with an evil comment instead. I just want to release and satisfy my dark side to see Sims suffer sometimes  ::)

Yep, he is one of your key plots and hold important rule to advance your Morae legacy right? I know that you actually love him, you warned Isabelle about to take care Rufus right? I wonder if this will be related with his newfound power. Alright, that's all I got.

I have no idea what you mean by Isabelle being Isadora's id, so that's not it XD And no, she's not the Grim Reaper either. That's ME. I'm the watcher and the Reaper---you didn't see me in the chapter Marc died, but I was talking to Isabelle and telling her to cool it. I had to wear a hood though...couldn't have her recognizing me.

I'm no writer myself but I love when a writer take attention to so many details especially for what you say, emotions and descriptions with the right words and I admit you're a very good writer for playing your reader emotion just like that. I love to write. It's one of my passions---I actually have to try and not get to descriptive while I'm writing this because if I do, I might go overboard or start to lack in screencaps...I don't know. I don't want anyone to get bored so I try to avoid walls of text. And yes, I love Rufus very much actually. He's one of my favorite Sims in the house aside from Edwin who keeps setting himself on fire at the Inventing Table.

====================

This update isn't nearly as long as the others---There's quite a bit of information for you all to take in here, and then after we'll swing over into focusing on Edwin as the heir because I can't go any further until the heir is chosen by you guys in a vote...which we aren't at yet.

13: Tale of the Living Dead

After Paolo was born, Cipriana picked up a job as a Ghost Hunter. With a Lifetime Wish of Paranormal Profiteer, it seemed the most logical step.

At home, Rufus was busy cleaning of his own will without using his Genie powers. The boy, or rather man now, was still very against using them. And there was a part of him that resented Isabelle.

Still, he willingly followed her instructions. Who else did he have really? Marrick never had any animosity for his half-brother, but never paid him much mind either. The triplets had been the same, and with Marc dead, Rufus only had Isabelle to depend on. Essentially…he owed her his life. And that’s exactly how Isabelle wanted him to see it.

Isabelle Morae's household was an army of willing and obedient little puppets---puppets whom she loved, but puppets no less. With lots of strings that could pulled to help bring her closer to her goal of finding out more about her family. Isadora had been conveniently absent lately, which allowed Isabelle to do whatever she wanted. She was due to give Isabella Monty another visit, one last civil attempt to get information out of her. But…she died.

Isabella Monty finally died of old age.

While Isabelle reworked her plan, Marrick and Alessandra moved out and found a place in the heart of the city with enough space to grow (Alessandra has the Surrounded by Family LTW. They’ll need the bedrooms). Paolo aged into a toddler and, without realizing, I dressed him exactly the same way Rufus was as a toddler. But he looks a lot like his mother.

Edwin’s a great father. If he’s not at the Inventing Table, he’s in the nursery tending to his son. Cipriana rarely gets the chance to hold him because Edwin has laid all claim to caring for him.

Which is probably a better place to be considering he’s been setting himself on fire quite a bit recently.

Cipriana is also pregnant again! Which means no work for her for a few more days.

Rufus and Isabelle were at each other’s throats a bit, but every now and then master and servant connect and revert back to the odd little friendship they have.

With the excitement of births and child-rearing on hold for a bit, Isabelle was able to work out exactly what needed to be done to get the information out of the now dead Isabella Monty.

It was on a full moon when Isabelle mastered the spell, and the moment she learned it, she used it. With all her power, she tapped directly into the After World and brought up an old friend to say hi.

“Isabelle, you accursed woman. You won’t even let an old woman rest in peace…You’re more like her than than you know”

“Am I? Tell me about her then. I’ll haunt you for the rest of your After Life if you don’t.”

“Fine...It was many years ago. I couldn’t have been much older than 15. Your Great Grandmother came into town and instantly captured the hearts of the people. She was charming and endearing and giving and loving…but she was a witch. Everyone knew it, but no one said anything. She wasn’t a threat to anyone, or so we all believed. One day…your great grandmother seemed to suddenly go insane. She used all her power to raise all the dead in the cemetery. One by one she gathered an army of mindless undead and led them through the streets, commanding them to devour and destroy. So many lives were lost that full moon. My mother and father were taken as well, but I’d managed to hide well enough so I could still live. There were only a few residents left, most of whom were older than me. The only one my age was Patrizio, who I later married. Enraged at what she’d done, the surviving residents gathered at your great grandmother’s mansion and demanded she come out and face the consequences of her actions. She did indeed come out, but before any of us could do anything to her, she yelled something about being truly powerful. About having the necessary power to bring together the Coven…the Coven of something and take back a place called Sunset Valley. And then she vanished and set fire to her entire house in the process. What was left of her belongings we locked up in City Hall and I was told to never speak of her again. Everyone who was there that day is dead now, save for Patrizio. But the workers in City Hall know better than to let anyone have access to her belongings. Even if you are her great grandaughter, they'll never let you have access to any of it."

“You remind me so much of her. You have that same twisted look of blood thirst in your eyes.”

Isabelle merely smirked, "Must be a family trait. But as her living relative, I think I’m entitled to whatever is in City Hall it. And I will get it back. What exactly did you lock up?”

“A few old books, a dress…random little things that were left behind. She put a ward of some sort on the lot---no one has been able to step foot on it since the house was destroyed.”

“Then…there must be something there. Now, that wasn’t very difficult, was it? Now you may rest in peace, Isabella. But first---here. Take a little gift with you---pass it on to Marc if you see him.”

“Ugh! You irritating woman. Your husband isn’t in the After World”

Isabelle’s eyes widened, her face temporarily distorted in confusion, “What are you talking about? He’s no longer in Monte Vista…I’ve seen his ghost!”

“Then he’s playing a very twisted joke on you, Isabelle. Marc Brandt is not dead.”

He won't be for long! Hahahaha!

To clarify what we were saying:
Anyways, Id, Ego, and Superego are common psychology terms from an old study where people believed that the three bits made up the human mind. The id went after what it desired, the superego was the conscience and the ego was the person in charge who had to make the decisions on whether to follow the id or the superego. Like the "Devil on the one shoulder/Angel on the other" theory. (Id being the devil/Superego being the Angel).

Anyways, back to what I was saying: DOOM TO MARC! He deserved his fate, I only dislike him because he was a lousy father and a cheater. Isabelle is quite the evil temptress though, I'm excited to see where this goes.
