00: Of Juice and Glory

This was meant to be the part in which I introduce you to Izzy, my founder. Sadly…she had other plans. Things like this…

    And this

Mizz: Izzy, can we get this going now? I think Bridgeport can survive one night without you…
    Isabelle: -hic- Okay!

Meet, Isabelle Morae. Aside from being an obvious Party Animal, she's a Natural Cook, Flirty, Artistic, and a Social Butterfly. Just an ordinary Bridgeport city girl. Izzy loves being who she is. She invades the bars, tears up the dance floor, and then spends the next day…well

You get the idea. But things changed for Izzy one day in a way she wasn’t expecting, nor was she really able to comprehend when it first happened. See, Izzy doesn’t check her mail to often. As a matter of fact, she may as well move in with the Repo Man so it’s easier for him to take her stuff after weeks of unpaid bills. But one day she decided to at least look at the bills that were piling up. Among all the random love letters and official documents telling her to mail away her money was a purple envelope, and it was addressed, in white ink, to Izzy herself. The sender was someone named ‘Isadora’

Isabelle – You are to return
You are to bring forth greatness
    The town is lost
    You will find it

And how did Izzy respond to this letter?

She’s quite hopeless really. As far as she was concerned, it was just a strange prank or a chain letter. So Izzy really didn’t think much of it. That is…until THIS suspicious character appeared on her doorstep the night the letter went ignored.

    “Isabelle!” She screeched

Isabelle reeled back, her head still a little fuzzy from the juice, “That’s me, but do you have to yell like that? You’re louder than—“

“Silence yourself and listen to me. How dare you simply ignore my letter! It’s of the gravest importance that you read and comprehend exactly what you are being tasked to do.”

“The only thing I’m being tasked to do is go upstairs and avoid loony toon Sims like you. S’cuse me ~”

Isabelle blinked confusedly, then sashayed to the bar, “Okay, you have my attention, Miss Appear. More or less---want a drink?”

    “My name is Isadora.”

“Yeah, I figured by the letter. What do you want Miss Isadora Appear?”

“I want you to do what you were born to do. It was not to drink and it was not to dance on bars.”

    “Mm…but isn’t that a fun alternative?”

“NO. Now you listen to me, juice-head. The Morae family is great…can be great if you go through the motions of furthering it. If you die, so does the legacy. You’re the only one left. And you’re entitled to a grand fortune---in fact, nearly an entire town should be yours. But your foolish grandmother let it all go when she failed to marry you off after high school and enable you to produce an heir. And what's worse is she decided it was smart to end her own life and your mother's.

"Yeah...can we not talk about that? You're killing my juiced moodlet."

"This is what I’m telling you to do, Isabelle. Leave Bridgeport, for a  town called Twinbrook. This is where it shall start. Find someone and continue the legacy. It’ll be a grand adventure with more fun than you could ever find in this desolate city. I promise you won't be bored. And it'll all be worth it in the end. “

“Is? You had me at fortune.”

This look exciting! That's very bold to choose Twinbrook, I love it!
I also see adorable babies in the future, well, assuming her juiced moodlet comes down a bit.

I've always loved Twinbrook! And found it underappreciated, so it was my first choice for the starting point of this Legacy. But, like a lot of other stories, this group is going all over the place.

Oh trust me, her babies came out perfect. I'm so happy. Wait til you see her first born! ADORABLE

Hurray for Twinbrook! Your founder's very pretty too.

Yes! Twinbrook!! Thank you. She's the result of a little less than 35 minutes in CAS

Ooh! Another story set in Twinbrook! Hooray! Bookmarked ;D

I can't wait to see who your founder will choose as spouse. It's the popular one or someone unexpected? I can't wait to find out more ^^

I don't know if he falls into the 'popular' category. When it comes to finding spouses, ever since the whole 'attraction' mechanic came out, I just wait to see who my sims hit it off with. Makes it way more fun.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I decided to post the next chapter and make it a little longer. (26 screenshots, I won't get in trouble for one extra right? Hope not!)

    01: Nooboos and Surprises

Twinbrook really wasn’t expecting nor was it ready for Izzy.

But of course there really was no stopping her from being who she is. This isn’t Bridgeport Izzy! I guess the transition made her a bit bitter, because her Ambitious trait morphed into Evil, and Artistic became Hot-Headed. Anywho, not long after Isabelle got to Twinbrook and settled in to a little shack house in town, there was another purple envelope in the mail.

    Isabelle---
    Find your spouse.
The heir is to be born.

If Isabelle was good at anything, it was following directions. I mean, if she weren’t, how would she have been able to find all the good hotspots in town? Maps were her specialty, and Isadora seemed to be drawing out a life map for her. So why not follow? Not a second after arriving at the café for a bite to eat did Izzy meet Marc Brandt. He was handsome, a little rebel looking and the second they laid eyes on each other it was instant attraction.

But not all was bliss in this newly formed relationship

Apparently Marc had been cozy with Amy Bull, but there were no kids and they weren’t married. Amy was offended and gave Marc what for---Izzy watched in sober amusement. Amy stormed away eventually (Nraas later told me she married Mary Baker. Hm) and, after a bit of wearing down her leatherbound potential beau, Izzy convinced him to eat at the bistro with her. One thing led to another and this happened

Well. No one said it was going to be easy. Izzy managed to work past Marc’s commitment issues and convinced him to move in with her---she could propose another day. Now she needed to focus on her career. She didn’t want to stay in her small house forever.

Marc moved in and proved to have Commitment Issues in every aspect of his life—he was one skipped day of work away from being fired from his military career. A little convincing from Izzy and he got it together. No husband of her’s was going to be a dead beat. Marc was unwilling to wed, but at least he wasn’t unwilling to smarten up his look a bit.

Not a huge change from what he’s used to. Izzy didn’t want to make him feel to uncomfortable. She’d already accomplished that the day before. The next couple of days was simply Izzy and Marc being the adorable couple they are, a bit of flirting with other people (both of them did it) and getting a levelor two in their careers. But after a while, Izzy grew impatient with Marc's resistence

She was quite persistent. After returning from her work at the Bistro (right after her second promotion mind you!), she set right back to softening Marc up (without my prompting). And then she tried again with that same question from before.

    This time she succeeded.

Just in time for her to spin into Maternity wear (Don’t ask me why she decided to put on her work hat and outwerwear on while this happened. I really don’t know.)

Pregnancy made Izzy miss Bridgeport. She got a wish to buy a bar and lamented the fact that she didn't get her bachelorette party, but the fact that a nooboo was in her was motivation enough to not run out to the store and buy one…right?

Mizz: Wrong. And what on earth is that you decided to wear Izzy? That's not Maternity wear. No one can see your baby bump.
Isabelle: That's the point. Thanks for the bar by the way.
Mizz: I was going to set up that room as the nursery , but okay…Oh, and Izzy there's--
Isabelle: You may have turned off my Free Will for a while, but I’m not stupid. She sent me another letter didn’t she?

    Isabelle---
    Heir and a spare.
    ]

Isadora’s words were always so cryptic and it drove Isabelle crazy. But she was promising her a fortune, and she already got a husband and a house out of the strange bird, so no reason to stop now. Except Izzy couldn’t worry about having ANOTHER baby until the first one was no longer taking up residency in her belly.

The next few days of life in the Morae household were slow, but blissful. The couple was happy. Marc worked hard to advance his career. His commitment issues manifested in a Lifetime Wish of mastering three skills. So while listening to a helpful Tabcast on his SimPad, he painted away at the easel  Izzy bought for him.

On maternity leave, Izzy refused to let herself go stir-crazy. Most of her days were spent at the local karaoke bar. And she had a fan on her outings. That oddly dressed elder who chose one of my CC hairstyles is Renee Williams-Brown, mother of Jenni Jones-Good, and is currently in a relationship with a a guy way younger than her,  Wei Keane (who’s cheating on her according to Nraas. Oops.)

Izzy also had a bit of a run in one night with a kid name Zo who kept heckling her and booing her while she sang. All the fighting and the nemesis declaring must’ve had an effect because…well…

Welcome to the world, Marrick Morae! Born Friday, 3:32 AM at the Twinbrook Foundation Hospital

Mizz: Only after you flew yourself to the hospital to have the baby even though I canceled it at least 6 times
Izzy: You wanted my baby to born outside a Karaoke bar?! First I can't get you to buy me a bar, then you won't let me go to the hospital, what kind of---!
Mizz: This board is PG, Iz, cool it.

Marrick’s crib went into the living room because Izzy got upset and requested another bar when I attempted to sell it, and his infant years flew by without much fanfare or interest.

As stated before, Izzy is very good at following directions. But in this case, she followed her directions blindly. With only little traces of information as to what the bigger goal was: a fortune. The posession of a town. An entire town. Was it Twinbrook she was meant to somehow inherit? What was the story behind her family that the enigmatic Isadora insisted was there but would not disclose? Izzy had fuzzy memories of her grandmother, heard the things she'd said to her mother about a long legacy and returning to the home of the Morae's, but all that chatter disappeared when they drove into the Simislaus Creek...

Simislause Creek....Twinbrook was built on the creek! Twinbrook was were Izzy was before a blur of juice and parties brought her to Bridgeport. How could she have forgotten? That must have been why Isadora sent her there. What else was she not saying...where could she learn more? The city had  a wealth of information on the history of the town, and much of it was accesible through it's Library of Antiquities.

She wasn’t sure what she’d find. If anything. If her family had died here, maybe there was some information. But was there anything in the archives before the existence of her Grandmother...was she smart enough understand any of it? A moment of discouragement took her over and she promptly headed away from the vault, but not sooner had she done that did she resolve to ignore her inhibitions. She turned back around and...

    “Isadora…”

"Curiosity killed the cat, Isabelle? Why bother yourselves with these archives?

“I need to do some research. There are things I don't know...things that you aren't telling me. I just---“

    “No. Listen to me, you!"

"You mother and grandmother drove into the Similaus Creek, yes. Good for you, you've figurred that little bit out. But aside from that, these archives hold nothing for you that I won't tell you about in due time. You'd be wise not to step out of bounds, darling. and wiser still to go back home to your baby----I wouldn’t leave him alone in Marc’s hands for too long.”

“How can I trust you, Isadora? I don't even know who you are! I was completely juiced up when I first met you so it didn’t take a lot of convincing to get me here. But now I've moved to a different town, gotten married, bought a house and raise a baby into a little toddler who lives in his toybox, and I'm wondering WHAT this is all about! Listen to ME, Miss Appear, you're going to tell me what this is all about. Because if someone's going to turn my life upside down, it's going to be me. Not a stranger who appeared in front of my apartment."

“Here, love. Take this to ease your insecurities. Just trust me. I won't lead you wrong. I don't want to overwhelm you with information."

    “What is it?”

“Just take it. You’ll know what to do with it. And don't pretend as though you don't trust me, dear. You put your faith in me the second you laid eyes on me.”

    “Isado---!”

Ever since Izzy was a kid, she’d always known she had something off about her. She had memories of making toys disappear and reappear in her hands as well shunned in her teen years for being a witch. From that point on, Izzy never bothered to strengthen her abilities. But she couldn't turn down the Iridescent wand Isadora had given her. Maybe now was the time...

But let us not forget, readers, that certain traits...

Are passed on through the generations.

Aww, Marrick is adorable! Are you going by the firstborn rule for heir, because Marrick will be quite a doll when he gets older... I can tell.

All I have to say is Izzy must be one strong woman to be patient enough to wait out Marc's silly commitment issues.

Oh, and I must say I laughed (probably too hard) at that silly child booing Izzy. Just wait until she's older... because Izzy's going to ruin her life... (evil laughter) hahahahahaha!

    02: The Life of Izzy

Marrick is the most perfect and adorable child. From what can be seen, he’s going to end up looking more like his mother than his father. Which is wonderful, really, because no one wants Marc's squinty eyes (how does he even see through them?). The less chance there is of THAT trait being passed on, the better looking the whole family will be. Now enjoy a Marrick toddler days spam, I simply can’t get enough of this little angel

Marc taught him to talk and Izzy laughed herself near to death with Marrick's near defiance to walk. There were a few things in the store that could have helped the process along, and Izzy did buy them. But Marc never let the baby stay in there for very long, so they ended up teaching him his basic life skills.

This time, Izzy picked some better Maternity wear (though she insisted on keeping her stillettos). But with another nooboo on the way, a one bedroom house wasn't going to be enough. Marc wasn't to far in his career and Izzy was pregnant and barely working. So with their Inheritance money Lifetime Wishes, people they did a little house shopping and found a nicer place on the lake to live in.

Marrick passed out the moment they moved in

They didn’t have much left over to renovate, but managed to adjust the rooms as needed. The bedroom on the bottom floor became Marc and Isabelle’s Master, while the second bedroom became the nursery for nooboo number two...boo. Finally, they put flooring in the space up above the dining room (it was something of an open loft) and turned it into a nursery Marrick. The first few days of the move, with not much else to do, Izzy spent a lot of time at that bar or up on the balcony reading. But mostly the bar. And it was by the bar that this happened

Isadora told her 'an heir and a spare'

Izzy wasn't expecting 3 spares. Welcome (in order) Damien, Demelza, and Edwin Morae!

With three babies in the house, Izzy had to quit her job to stay home and take care of them. Buying the house left them with about as much money as they had before they moved, and that wasn't enough for a babysitter. Izzy played stay at home mom and the upstairs nursery became a baby daycare center.

And she was stressed and tired beyond belief. It literally took the entire day for her to change, feed,  and entertain all three of the babies, plus Marrick who still had a little while to go before becoming a self-sufficient Child. Marc was around, but never in the nursery. Izzy felt a lot like a single mother because he spent most of his time at work or having a love affair with the deep-fryer

Notice how dirty the counter was and the plate of pancakes Izzy had made earlier that day. Marc really was completely useless and ungrateful. But mamma bear was much to busy to be worried about that. Marrick's birthday finally came around.

He definitely looks like his mother. The following day was Spooky Day, so to celebrate and get out of the house, Izzy left the babies with Marc (who had the day off because of the holiday) and took her newly aged son to the park. Marrick played And Izzy tried to make friends. Tried being the operative phrase here. It was a success with Beverly Castor

Not quite so successful with Madeline Buckshot.

"Mommy yells alot. But she's still mommy and I love her. I think that old lady with the white hair was being mean anyway. Who wouldn't want to listen to mommy's plans? She's going to make everyone in Twinbrook happier."

03: Izzy's Daycare and Maid Service

This is a shot of Marrick after he aged up. Not sure why he's cross-eyed but he was stuck like that and staring at the camera until I reset him and sent him and Izzy to the park. It was very strange. But back to the story

    =======
Marrick had wanted a Chemistry Table for his birthday, which Izzy happily bought for him even if it was a little pricey. And that's where the boy spent most of his time.

Izzy would have liked to be practicing her magic, hanging around the bar, or hunting down Isadora and demand information. But her triplets aged into Toddlers, only making the daycare center busier.

From first pic to last is Edwin, Demelza, and Damien. How Damien ended up with that platinum blonde hair is unknown but Izzy left it alone because it worked with his skintone. Which, mind you, wasn't the same as Marc's or Izzy's. He almost looked like someone else's child. Four children, two houses, and several drinks later, Izzy was a busy mother trying to set a course for her life that would lead her to some amount of fortune that would not only support herself, but her large family. However mean and domineering she may be, her babies are still her babies. And she wants them all taken care of.

Life was intense, but Marrick was just as sweet as a child as he was as a toddler.

"Mommy can't cook because Demmy's crying again. Gonna make her some muffins so she doesn't fall asleep on the floor again."

He helped keep the house together, and even though he couldn't use the regular stove, he did what little he could to help. He wanted to be the man of the house because the actual man of the house was...

Never around. Marrick wasn't stupid. He knew that his mother's trials were because of his father. Why didn't he help? Why did he only sleep and use the deep fryer? He never even made enough food for everyone. Just himself!

His mother was suffering. And that made him mad.

"Dad, what are you doing? All you do is lay around and sleep and eat while the house is a mess and Demmy, Ed, and Damien are all upstairs crying! I can clean up, but you should help Mommy!"

"I remember when I was a baby and you told me that I have to make sure to love mommy a lot and be a good son. So why can't you love her and be a good daddy?!"

Needless to say, after this conversation, Marrick and Marc were no longer friends. Marrick declared loudly that he hated him and proceeded to clean. Marc had been invited to a party that night and thought this the  perfect opportunity to go ahead and leave for it.

Pushing away the thoughts of his son, he left for his friend's house. Phoenix Prudence (who married Molly Coddle, thus making both their names Prudence-Coddle. yikes) had thrown a pool party at his little shack near the creek that had no pool. Upon arrival, Marc saw that someone was aging up.

Marc joined in the celebration, then walked over to give the birthday girl a greeting.

This knockout is Pansy Prudence, Phoenix's former teenage daughter who became a young adult on the night of the party.

    "Having a happy birthday, Pansy?"

"Great. Especially since someone as cute as you came. Twinbrook doesn't have a lot of attractive guys. Lucky us that we've got you, huh?"

    =====

That baby next to him I believe is named Carlton, and he's the baby Phoenix and Molly had after they got together according to story progression.

Marrick was to cute for me to handle. I got a couple shots of him in the crib and there was one where his lip was all puckered out from crying and I about died! I have a whole plot in mind as far as heirs go, so you'll have to keep reading to find out how that works out.

Oh, Izzy has since run into Zo again--that'll be in the next update XD

Hmm, that was interesting indeed. Usually my Sim ends with the famous Goodwin or infamous Sinbad :P
I believe that they will let it slip just for one image :P

That was interesting indeed. I find there are some townies that I know about. Welcome, Marrick Morae :)
Nrass story progression always give us surprise there ;D

I had a couple of girl sims end up with Goodwin and Sinbad once just for spits and giggles in a past legacy of mine, but I actually never really liked that little household. And not to mention, the game must hate their genetics because the kids never came out pretty! Yes, Story Progression is a blast. And it's only because of it that I know where certain Sims are that I need for later on in the story.

Oh, Marc! Poor, Marrick tried his best =[ All the kids are really cute, Izzy makes me laugh and she's trying her best. I love, love, love her One Piece t-shirt, where did you get it from?

Yes, Oh Marc! Marc's got it coming. Marrick actually did do a lot of cleaning on his own, not by queing him up to do it. He loves his mom because she spent the most time with him as a toddler so they were at best friends status. Izzy tries hard, she really does. Suburbia is still strange concept for her.

Izzy sleepwear consists of the capri pants that came with University Life, and a top I downloaded from elsewhere but I've had it forever! I'll have to do some hunting to see if I can find it again. When I find it, I'll post it for you!

Marc needs to jump in front of a bus. That jerk! Oh, he better pay for that... Those children are beautiful! I'm excited to read more!

    03.2: Enough is Enough

This Watcher is sad to say that Marc’s infidelity went ignored for a little while.  Not for lack of desire for Izzy to find out, but because Izzy was being a mom. By the time Marc’s little fling had happened, she’d nearly forgotten she had a husband at all. She was much to busy dedicating herself to her children. And of course her beloved son.

“Mommy’s been so tired…this parenting thing is something else. Don’t do it Marrick.”

“Okay, Mommy. I’m just gonna take care of you since Daddy won’t.”

Izzy laughed a little, “You focus on being a kid for now, Mar.”

Those were probably the worst words for a mother to say to her chemist son.

One bladder accident later, someone was on the Morae household’s doorstep. Pansy, of her own free will, decided it was time to stop by and say hi to Marc. And don’t think it went unnoticed that she was wearing loose fitting clothes.

And of course THAT couldn’t be ignored.

“P-Pansy, what are you doing? At my house?!”
“Marc…I’m pregnant! I’m actually pregnant. And I won’t let you not be a part of this child’s life.”
    “Pansy…”

Izzy did not take very well to Pansy's appearance or her news.

“You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!”

“Izzy, I didn’t mean to get her pregnant.”

“And I’m sure you didn’t mean to slip into her bed and make little hearts appear? When was the last time WE made hearts appear. No, forget it. Forget I even asked.”

“I’ve had it with you and your lack of responsibility. I’ve had it with the direction my life has gone and you better believe I am TAKING CONTROL. Go paint on your dumb easel for a while and I’ll be back to deal with you later.”

And then she turned her claws on Pansy, who had chimed in at some point with a ‘I should be going now’ message in the top corner of the screen. Izzy followed the girl outside into the chilly winter air, absolutely livid. Pansy grimaced as the woman came upon her.

“Pansy Prudence-Coddle-HOMEWRECKER, if you and your illegitimate child so much as step within 20 miles of my house, I will make your great grandmother regret reproducing. You have no IDEA what you’ve just done. Now get AWAY FROM MY HOUSE.”

Something clicked in Izzy that day. “Enough is Enough” she had thought as she scanned the contents of her closet. She’d forgotten who she was and what she was about. It was as if the cutthroat attitude she’d gained in Bridgeport had fizzled out and gone away at the promptings of a mysterious woman and domestic life. But no more. Izzy made some decisions that day her relationship fell apart and her children were forced to bear witness to their father's infidelity. This town. This Twinbrook had brought some happiness, but also more than a little misfortune. It was time to leave---but not before Izzy...no...not before Isabelle attended to a few things. Research, revenge...the list went on.

Isabelle stepped out onto the balcony that day, taking in the feel of the freshly fallen snow. It was almost ironic---a blanket of snow covered the town, pure and white. With the end of winter would come a new beginning for the town, a new season. And so it would also begin a new season for our founder.

Isabelle Morae was the Matriarch of the family, and it was about time she acted like it.

Go, Izzy! Why, if that Pansy was not pregnant I'd slap her and Marc D:<

I forgot to mention earlier, you did a clever thing taking screenshots of the mysterious woman from behind so we don't see her face. I'm hoping we found out who she is soon.
