Did you make them solar-powered? I've noticed that happens when I used that chip, I suppose it's something for them to do outside. The one without it doesn't jump in the pool nearly so often.

Nope, no solar power in either of them.

Please someone correct me if I am wrong, but from looking at the code, there seems to only be two teasers. The Sims 4 related dreams, and a wall scene with the holographic projector (I can't remember the name offhand).

You can find these little pyramid thing (for want of a better description) in the crashed ship. Not sure exactly what to do with them yet, but you can activate them and they are teasers for Sims 4. I just sell them now when I find one.

But the annoying thing is, both Butler and BeepBoop are attracted to the pool at my Sim's future home. >:(  Seriously, it's not funny. Any spare moment is spent swimming.

isn't it dreadful, the attraction seems worse than sims being attracted to the sprinkler!

BeepBoop and Butler came back to the present with Taylor, I wanted them to stay in the future whilst I played Taylor in the present. I assume it's not possible?

While you can choose who from the present day household goes to the future, when you travel from the future back to the present, the whole household comes :-(

Oh and yes, I saw that Emit's name is Time Traveler backwards!

Nope, no solar power in either of them.

It's possible my other one (nanny/gardener/cleaner) just doesn't have the spare time! Though I haven't been experiencing many of the bugs reported, so maybe it's just luck.

Just discovered something else... if you have a large household already (with the maximum amount) and someone goes to the future, they won't be able to buy or create a bot there because the household is already full.

I was surprised to read about all the problems Carl is having with this expansion.  Mine has been free of bugs so far.  My Sim just completed the Made the Most of My Time Lifetime Wish and it was flawless.  She's back in her home town and the game clock reads week 2, day 7.  I took my time with it and still finished it before she aged to adult.

I've always been a big fan of time travel and settings in the future, so this expansion is an absolute blast for me.  I love the look of Oasis Landing and having so many new items is great.  There's a new futuristic version of almost everything in the game.  I'm really enjoying it.

I'm loving it too Pam. Apart from a few little annoyances, that are mostly part of the game and not bugs as such, everything is going fine. I was surprised at the death by jet pack that Carl has experienced. When my girl was given the jetpack and the challenge to 'fly around' I didn't realise that there was an option to do just that. I had her flying everywhere she went trying to fulfill it and she was constantly landing head first in the pavement or the floor and always just got up and walked away.

I'm loving it so far, but then I'm a sucker for time travel stories.  The only bug I've hit so far is the Almanac stopping working and Emit going missing, which seem to go hand in hand.  I just noticed that Twallan has posted a fix for both issues, in his Register and Overwatch mods, though I've not had a chance to test them out.  I found Ilsa Paradise far more buggy than this expansion, but maybe I've been lucky.

I love being able to have a different profession in the past and present, and a different wife in each!

My main disappointment is the lack of schooling for youngsters in the future, and the lack of jobs outside of the new ones.

With regard to schooling, I found that you can add a school and the children of your household will go. A taxi comes to pick them up. I added the school from Lunar Lakes as it fit in with the overall decor the best. I put in a 20x25 lot, made it a community "no visitors" lot, and added the school from build/buy mode (it's in community buildings).

Edited to add: I also managed to add the military base from Lunar Lakes using the same procedure. While it shows as the base, and you can tour it and take the handiness class there, getting a job there is not possible.

Also, when my two children born in Oasis Landing aged up from toddler to child, they both achieved a level 10 in Advanced Technology.

I am enjoying the expansion so far. Haven't explored much yet due to having a certain daughter who wants to play on it.

Stella says that it is epic and the best expansion pack ever! She loves the plumbots and the jetpacks are awesome. She may consider letting mummy have a go at some point in the near future perhaps when Sims 4 comes out.

Sorry to hear your daughter takes your game, Ratchie. My sister does that too, but I've had sore throat and played when she's in school. My insane sim Desire went into the future and has been like a fish in water. Ecpecially with the strange clothes and hairstyles. She made friends with Bennett Obi and Loki Larsson, came back to present, took her parents and brother with, and now Natalie and Colin spend their elder days practicing bot making and laser rhythm-a-con, Desire makes friends with ghosts and Jonathan doesn't have to stand angry calls from his ex-girlfriends, so can take it easy. He has also found all nanites except the Scalar nanite. I think it's odd that he finds and catches rare ones easily, but that common one just is impossible to findevn with Collection helper.

I am happy that I at least found a workaround for the Almanac of Time bug and put it on the gateway page for others to use. Switching back and forth from one different household to your original will work and allow the Almanac to function once again. I think that was what frustrated me most, but overall it's working OK enough to get things done, just hiccups here and there that are unexpected. I put in Overwatch to help with any freezing, as I've had that happen about 3 times.

But I agree with Pam. I love that most types of objects now have futuristic replacements, and you can go back to the past and have the coolest home in the world, with all that advanced technology to help your Sim's family. It's a great Expansion bugs aside and I do recommend it, trusting that we  will receive a patch to fix some issues that got past the beta testers. I was a little harsh in my big first impression post but I was super frustrated at the time and had to lay it out there :P

I experienced the almanac bug once, but switching households fix it. I didn't get any freezing or crashing and the game load really fast for me since I installed the expansion. I love it!

My plumbot, Jarvis, was abducted by aliens today, in Oasis Landing.

No word on an alien baby yet.

Ok, that is too funny.  For some reason I'm laughing hysterically at it.

I've been so burned out and kind of busy with two major projects, (no Carl, I haven't forgotten the gnome project!), so ITF was on hold.  I only installed it this past Monday although it's been here since it was issued.  So far no bug, alien, game, or otherwise.  (Knocks on wood, aka head).  I have this Sim who has been gathering, watching, and totally engrossed in learning about every gnome possible so she's pretty advanced, (supermaxed), in most skills as are her time travel machine daughter and best friends room mates.  I sent just her to the future for a general exploration and fell in love with this EP.  It may have bugs galore, at the moment I don't care.  I'm just loving it.  Of course, first step after installing was read the guide so sending huge cyber hugs to Carl for that.

Most folks are all happy about the new technology but I'm not all that excited about it.  I admit it's cool and exciting, but just exploring this lovely world, making friends with the bots, and doing the tasks Emit sets were enough to thrill my heart.  Also, there are these ugly, grey, houses that just cried out for a remodelers hand.  Banish the grey and voila!  They are actually quite nice homes and all it took was some fun time and the magic of recoloring.  So I'm good to go with lots of remodeling to do in a nice, bright, sunshiney world, (you can keep Midnight Hollow!), lots of new skills to learn and new things to try.  Ahhh, it feels so good to be really into Sims once again.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

After playing with this expansion for a while I really do like the bots a lot. I didn't think I would, but I find them hilarious. I also like the two new careers that came with ITF, they are a hoot and I love the option to explore space. I also like that they work when placed in the regular world.

The only downside for me as of now is the opportunity bug, but unless you are playing a challenge or dynasty I don't think that is a problem, and the workaround I have found (to be in a rabbithole) is pretty easy to accomplish if you stick your sim in one of those careers. Also, for teens a part time job or just going to a movie/touring one of the buildings work just as well.
