I really can't advise anything, but I wish you luck in that struggle, Kat. When there are no townie kids in the town, paper boys and paper girls can always help you out! ;D

I've had the same problem at times. Resetsim on the ones that immediately cancel your invites, sometimes that sorts them out.  Story Progression will continue moving people in, though I have at times felt like it wasn't doing so fast enough.  Make sure to send your Sims out to Gyms, art galleries, bars, parks, etc to scan for local talent that's recently moved in to town, if no one is there, just move on, they probably won't show up later either. Having a doctor has been really handy for meeting people, since a medical clinic pulls people onto the lot constantly.  It's how I found both my gen 4 and gen 5 wives.

I hope your ghost town gets more lively soon, if you have Plasma 501, check the basement, that elevator is notorious for breaking and hiding tons of Sims where you wouldn't normally check.

I thought that bug was virtually non-existant nowadays.
A while ago, SP would dry out your town - and cause the ghost town you are experiencing. From the release of the EP's and Patches, SP seemed to get better. My only idea would be this - do you have WA installed? If so, try marry foreigners, and also, I would expect that this is a major bug, as I have seen no trace of it for ages.

The issue of dying towns has been fixed, to my knowledge.  The suggestion of paper boys and girls is good.  So is traveling and just going around town.  If the child is actually meeting kids at school, you can call them on the telephone to increase their relationship level and the chance that they will come over.  Parties are also a good way to get them over, especially if someone in your family has the Legendary Host LTR.

Let us know how it goes.

The only issue with paper boys/girls is they age weird. I married one to my dynasty heir, and she aged up 2 life stages before 3 hours were up!
That attempt has been abandoned.

A Ghost Town is normal for me, happens every few Generations it is simply the fact that all the children born or moved in are now adults/elders and the town has reached a high population, I get that in my Legacy then a few weeks later it starts getting some new sims because the old ones have died.

Yes, but at the 6th generation, I doubt anyone will need a spouse for anything but bringing in the next generation. I do know about that bug, but who cares until a paper boy/girl can recreate? ;)

Interesting to hear you talking about the ghost town problem as I've noticed that in longer running legacies too. Does it ever fix itself? The suggestion of marrying foreigners is a good one although it shouldn't be necessary in my opinion.  ???

I've just started playing the Immortal Dynasty as a way to get myself back into the game after resinstalling my harddrive - I think I killed the old one.   ;)

I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for creating the challenge as it's really got me enjoying the game again.  :)

I know I've asked this before, but I'm trying to clarify everything here. I keep upgrading the owned property and then every time I upgrade it, which has happened several times now I think...there's more upgrading to be done? Is there a point where you don't need to upgrade the real estate anymore before your person can eat their ambrosia?

You see a message that says — "This property is completed upgraded."

Oh, thank you. This confirms my fears that it takes forever to upgrade a property. But what must be done, must be done. Time to start selling household furniture. Thank you!

You do know that there are upgrading parameters right? I just want to be sure because I did not when I started fooling around with venue investment and I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong :P When you go to map view and hover over your property icon it will tell you exactly what it takes to upgrade it to the next "level" (always several specific items and x lot value).

Good luck!

That I did notice, it is just a challenge to need things such as 22,000 simoleons and such. This is very difficult for me at the moment, but I am doing the best I can.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but did EA ever fix the bug that getting a makeover or a tattoo reducts the life stage? Just wondering out of curiosity.  :)

I don't know if it's been fixed but my Immortal Founder's age hasn't reset after his last 2 makeovers. Currently, I have 4 Immortals so I'll send them all in for makeovers and tattoos next time I play and report back.
