It's been brought to my attention that intentionally killing Sims is not covered in the General Rules (thank you, Alexandria_). It needs to be, so I just added a couple sentences in the cheating section. It's the last thing covered below —

Cheats and Banned Content
As a General Challenge Rule, no cheats are allowed. There will be exceptions. But, you are always free to use the following cheats:

• Moveobjects on
• PlaceFriezes on
• Reset Sim Firstname Lastname (Use this in the event your Sim becomes “stuck.” This cheat is case sensitive, so make sure to type your Sim’s name correctly).

For more information on how to open the cheats panel, please read the Carl’s Sims 3 Guide on Cheats. Cheats must always be turned off when you are done using them.

Exiting without saving to avoid a mistake or an unfortunate occurrence (i.e. burglar or fire) is cheating. Restarting from an earlier save is also cheating. In the event that your challenge file is plagued by a game-breaking bug, then you will need to provide me with specifics, and I can make a decision as to restarting from a previous save OR simply allowing a complete restart.

Intentionally killing any Sim is considered cheating and never allowed — i.e. walling up a Sim in a pool to drown, anything that would increase their chance of a death. Doing these things is outside the boundaries of normal play and also simply does not mesh well with the forum stance of "family friendly."

@ Metro - In my Dynasty I have Shannon as the founder. She married Hank and had George. Shannon invited Agnes to move in. Then Agnes married Chris and had Jocelyn. Can George (Gen2Heir) marry Jocelyn Steel who already lives in the house? At the moment they are Teens and I want to check before letting them go romantic. So can they marry and produce Generation 3?

Lol. It's kind of creepy. They're not brother and sister...and yet they're under the same roof. Yeah, go for it.

Thanks. They were born at the same time but have only ever interacted over Homework and Dinner before. They only just became Friends as they hit the end of Childhood.

Ok. Quick rule question.

The Dynasty rules keep referring to "spouse", rather than partner. Does this mean that Sims have to get married? Or is living together under the same roof enough?

Living together under the same roof is fine.

I've got a question regarding simbots.  My gen 4 heir is an inventor and will be creating a simbot.  In addition I want to give her the My Best Friend LTR because it just seems fitting.

I know simbots have to be released into the wild and had a question about the mechanics of that process.  I went to move the LTR simbot out and found that I had 2 options - I could either 'kick out' to send him to a random available lot or I could actually pick a lot and move him there but not make him my active family.  Unfortunately my game crashed before I could make a choice and so I'm going to have to replay since my last save...which I believe was before the simbot came into the household.

Is there a difference in outcome if you kick out vs. move the simbot to a specific property?  I would feel better if I could at least set him up in a decent house, but I don't know if that would create a situation that would compromise my dynasty attempt.

Thank you!

I have another question (sorry, I just don't want to mess anything up because of my ignorance).

I know you can use the 'MoveObject' command, but is the 'constrainFloorElevation False' command also acceptable (to create a 2-stories front, 3-stories back house on sloped terrain)?

I don't know myself. But, I have no issues with either approach as long as the SimBot gets the boot, so do whichever you want.

Yes, that's fine too.

And how about 'buydebug' to buy fog emitters (for waterfalls and such), or is that pushing my luck too far? :P

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but during a 9-day trip to china I tried to send everyone home. But the gen 2 spouse stayed behind, I thought that I forgot to click on his tag so I clicked the return home option on his moblie clicked tag but he still wouldn't go home. So I tried waiting until the trip ended but he still hadn't returned by day 12. Restarting the game and my computer didn't work. Is there some way to fix it or should I continue from the backup?

It sounds like one of those nasty travel bugs.  Go ahead and continue from your most recent backup.
