Also is it possible to duplicate Ambrosia? Diana can buy the Replicator thingy but I do not know whether to save it for a Unique reward or not.

Yeah, I believe Aria is using that technique in her Dynasty.

@samoht04

It really wouldn't matter if there's already a legitimate heir before using the time machine because the rules stipulate that all heirs must be the result of a natural pregnancy.  Children from a time machine don't qualify.

Yes, you can store Ambrosia.  While your Sim is making it, stop the action when he/she is stirring it in the bowl.  Then save the bowl to the replicator.  When it's replicated later, it will be fully cooked normal quality Ambrosia ready to eat.  It can definitely be one of your unique LTRs.  Just make sure only one of your Sims buys it..

I will probably give it to Gabriella as her Unique because Diana already has 4 LTHR and I need to keep options open. Diana can go buy another Collection Helper and sell it.  :D

I've got a question. Can you marry a ghost as a spouse using the Oh My Ghost! Opportunity? From what I heard, they don't have any special abilities that would let you cheat.

Do the ghosts age normally?  I thought they had a longer lifespan?

I think ghosts have a longer lifespan. I played a legacy once where I brought back the founders spouse using the oh my ghost opportunity. I moved him out because he was annoying me and six generations later he was still living in the town. He had the family orientated trait and he had loads of children.

The Oh My Ghost opportunity is not allowed on existing spouses because then you'd be tampering with the life extension ban.

I have looked on the guide to find a list of skills available on the Sims 3. I can find the list for vanilla, world adventure and ambitions but not for late night. Is that a separate list.
So far I have used:
Cooking
Painting
Logic
Athletics
Handy
Fishing
I cannot use writing, martial arts, charisma, gardening or inventing as they have all already been maxed.

By my reckoning that leaves me with:
Sculpting.
Photography.
Nectar making.
Mixology.

Am I missing any?

Guitar and all of the band instruments. If you go to the main Guide home page, hover your mouse over the blue sidebar that says "Skills." That will pop out everything in the game.

Hi, I'm new to the forum, but a LONG time Sims fan. Yay!

I have a question, I tried to read though the forum but it is *quite* long, and I couldn't find the answer in so many words, and I can't stand digging with the find feature any more.  So one more question to add to the pile.

Is it OK to have done my founders YA portrait as a still life, it's still a painting, and I don't have a camera. It takes a LONG time to work up to painting portraits and I'm going to have to rethink who I marry if it *has* to be a portrait, but I would find a way!

Thanks.

First, welcome to the forum. :)

Okay, the portraits need to be bonafide portraits and NOT still-lifes. Agnes Crumplebottom is a popular Founder's spouse. I used her myself in my Dynasty — she's good to go with a high level painting skill at the start. But, the Young Adult stage is 3 weeks, so that's a pretty decent chunk of time to get any spouse up to speed with a level painting skill to do portraits.

Is it OK to take 1st generation Sims' photos and 2nd generation ones (up to Teen) using a phone?

I would just like the museum to be consistent.
There is definitely no plug for either the No Photos Legacy or Room Dynasty here. There's a time and a place for plugs, and this is neither.

Believe it or not I've never used a Sim's cell phone to take a picture. Is the target properly identified as they are with a standard camera? (i.e. spouse/family member, etc?)
