Yes, and I've seen it done multiple times. The step-kids have to live the rest of their natural lives there, but other than that, there's nothing wrong with moving them in.

You can move in anyone you want as long as they are allowed life states, but you can't move them out.

Furthering the step-kids question, am I able to move in a group of housemates all at once? Or do I have to ask them all separately?

Just had an idea... Can we use Oh My Ghost on ghosts that were ghosts at the beginning of the game?

Yes. After a lot of testing last year, we finally allowed Oh My Ghost to resurrect eligible ghosts.

Though if you have Supernatural, believe me, the Philosopher's Stone is so much easier for getting the job done.

By using various elixirs I've been able to bring my family to the point where my founder MIGHT be able to make her first batch of Ambrosia while still an adult.  Does she have to wait till she's an elder or if she finishes the last thing she needs, (LTW completion), can she eat the ambrosia sooner?  I know the rules say:

"Start with one Sim. Only by accomplishing key tasks is your Founder granted the power of immortality upon reaching Elder status."

but was wondering how hard and fast this is.  I doubt the heirs will have as good a chance of completing everything before they are elders but my founder had so much help getting everything done, including her quickly learning alchemy and getting the elixirs, that there is a chance she might actually complete everything before then.  Right now it's at the rinse and repeat stage of gameplay.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Even if all requirements are completed before elderhood, she can't have ambrosia until she's an elder.

Plus, the elder portrait is a requirement and there's no way you're getting that before she gets old. :P

Dang!  I knew there was a good reason for that rule.  Totally spaced the need for the portrait.  No making them young again once it's accomplished either right?

LOL.  Well, at least I know how to make them more or less presentable if not all that attractive.  Can't get rid of the hunch or the denture munching but I CAN make them look good.  Unfortunately, my nooboo heir changed from cute Burrito bundle to a pretty homely nooboo.  I doubt I can do much to fix that.  Guess I'll wait and see if she becomes a cute child.  The first time I tried the combined genetics of Gepetto and Handichick I got a really pretty nooboo.  Unusually so.  This one doesn't look like any family member at all and I KNOW mom was faithful.

How can you make a locked kitchen and still be able to feed the family?  I tried  putting a second kitchen in my founders private, locked, area with a fridge in the general family area but the family won't go to the fridge for food.  They just stomp their feet and wave their arms at it.  They also won't use the pizza oven I placed so they could fix their own food if they wanted to.  (It does not raise cooking skill)

Putting a fridge in the general family area usually works. Try placing the fridge somewhere else, or replacing the fridge?

I didn't know that tip about the pizza oven, though.

Will do.

Both the pizza oven and the bakers oven are ok because they don't raise cooking skill.  I was sooo happy to see that!  It means my founder really only has to cook ambrosia in the future.

EDIT:  I've tried several things but it's like there is an invisible barrier.  My Sims can't get anywhere near the old frig.  I've tried removing extras, (pizza oven, baking station, grandma's jam making thing and complete second kitchen), and replacing the frig with another but it's no go.  Getting a bit scared.   It's only the first heir but it was a lot of work.  Adding this to Misc. Help

@Joria

Try putting the private fridge in the family inventory, the other fridge out in the open for the rest of the family.

I just rebuilt the kitchen and that worked.

Note on the "doesn't raise cooking skill thing".  Boy was I wrong there!  Pietro made himself a batch of cookies on the baker's stand and reached another level in cooking.  Guess that one gets locked up as well!
