Do you have the expansion Into the Future installed? It has been making a lot of people unable to get opportunities. Hopefully they will have a patch soon to fix this.

That must be what it is. Generally I have only bee seeing patches come with new expansions.

wow, almost killed my dynasty on the third sim day.  ate some magic jelly beans behind the consignment store and ended up on fire  .  barely made it to a river to put my self out.

The Rhythm-a-con gave me two opportunities yesterday.

Another option for the black ops is to use jobs/professions, instead of skill.

My 2nd Gen heir got married today and it happened to coincide with Spooky Day in game so I gave the reception a Spooky Day theme with most of the free items from the store. It looked pretty cool. However, I did not realize Grimmy would use it as an excuse to attend my Sims wedding and take home a +1 with him. The Mother Of The Groom died just as her son and new daughter and law were standing under the wedding arch exchanging vows.  I hope I got some good screen shots and I'm planning on starting my story soon. I was waiting to see if I would make it out of Gen 1 and get a good start with Gen 2 before I got too invested in the storytelling

Are genies still un-allowed to be an immortal household member? Even if they are not to provide any immortal (not being a spouse to born the next heir)?

And by aliens, does it mean that we could have an alien household member but not a dynasty spouse or child?

Genies are not allowed because of their extended life span. Alien spouses are allowed and they can be used to bring in the next heir. Abduction babies are not allowed and have to be returned to their homeworld at the moment of their birth.

how do i view which opportunities i've completed?

You have to make a written record of all your completed opps as you go I use my Sims bio section for this purpose.

I know Mods aren't allowed for the challenge but it would be cool if someone wrote a mod that would log your opportunities in a journal like the skills are.

You probably want to try to look them up and find their names, because you want to make sure no other immortal does them and counts them as unique. (You have to record all ops you do, not just the 6 unique, otherwise you don't know they're unique)

What were they for? If you summarize it we can probably find the names.

i've only been doing job/skill related opportunities so far.  my first gen sim is a self-employed gardner.  the last one i did was deliver 20 harvestables to the bistro.
