You basically can't change the skintone of anyone in the dynasty, whether it's giving them the non-default CC tone you adore or making them rainbow. The only sim you have really any control over in that department is your founder. The rule is fine with default replacement CC skins, since you don't have to do anything that breeches dynasty rules to make them work.

I hope everything is clear. :)

Trip is right, only your founder you can control skin color, didn't see the housemate part.  ::)

if you decide to have photos/ice sculptures in your museum, do you have to have them for each person at each life stage?

also, is there a way to search for information within a specific thread?  i'm sure my question has been asked before, but trying to find it in 300+ pages of a post is kinda hard.

thanks

It's fine if you don't get sculptures/photos for a sim or if you miss a sculpture/photo for a life stage. It's not a requirement nor a commitment. Portraits are the only thing that you must have.

ok, thanks

another thing though, i'm starting my dynasty in twinbrook but there is a Equestrian Center at 16 puddlewick dr, which is the only allowed starting lot.  am i supposed to bulldoze it and start with a blank lot, or is there a specific house i need to place on the lot?

You need to bulldoze it and start with an empty residential lot.

Okay, I just have a quickie question regarding death in the Immortal Dynasty, which I am doing for fun but not HOF.

My founder(based off of Erika of Celadon Gym) married Conrad Anderson(This is in Starlight Shores) and I know that it's not banned to have anything from Buy Mode as long as it doesn't violate a rule, so I gave all the housemates(the Gooder family which I moved in because they were rich and could cover painting, sculpting[Nat's sculpting up a storm to get Ice Personality before Erika gives birth] and the ambrosia skills) the Windcarver boards and holo-computers with their money. I love the holo-computers as they make doing anything computer-required easy to do even in the park and you don't need a table!  ;D

So, if I gave a jetpack and had him fly around a zillion times and he HAPPENS to get the jetpack crash death(Erika's already got his babies in her body so the Dynasty is assured), would I get penalized for that because he didn't die of old age. I know the rule "You cannot kill off a Sim" but what if he hits the what seems to be 25% chance of dying of jetpack failure and I was just going to get him to Advanced Tech Level 4 so he and his wife could have some WooHoo in the sky? In a Youtube video by Simmer AndrewArcade, who was doing a let's play of ITF, his Oprah Winfrey Sim died of jetpack failure without him noticing until he clicked on her.

It seems these new deaths are a little TOO easy to get. I do not plan on having Erika wear a jetpack until she fulfills the requirement so she can have a Death Flower.

EDIT: I am NOT trying to kill off my Sims, I am not going to have Conrad use the jetpack. I just want to confirm that if you queue up Fly Around a lot just to get Advanced Tech skill up, you won't get blamed for killing off a Sim if they accidentally die.
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

My understanding is that it is fine, as long as the intent is not to try and kill him. Similar to how eating jellybeans from Supernatural can kill you (in Rachel's case, a lot), but you aren't planning it.

However, that being said, I would recommend mixing it up so you don't have 8 Fly Around queued up - maybe do 2 of them, then play/clean a holo-sprite, then another Fly Around, then a sonic shower, maybe a windcarver ride to the nearby park...

I've been playing for 4 sim weeks and 1 sim day, and I've had only 1 spec ops. I don't think this is normal. My question is has anyone else had this happen? What should I do if it continues like this?

Do you have the expansion Into the Future installed? It has been making a lot of people unable to get opportunities. Hopefully they will have a patch soon to fix this.

The Rhythm-a-con gave me two opportunities yesterday. :o

Another option for the black ops is to use jobs/professions, instead of skill.

Oh, I hadn't realised that, and though my game had gone buggy again x.x

Are we able to change a spouse's name after they enter the household? It seems a small thing, but I wanted to be sure.
