Sorry to hear about your first attempt. Portraits can be tough. Good luck when you try again!

Hi, I just wondering if we finishing our dynasty (getting 8 Immortals, getting all requirements done) and take the final screenshot about all Immortal. We already free from rules bound, am I right? It's okay to use a pose player? Or cheats that make Immortals to have unique expression? Well, I have seen for them who made into HOF and what I really love the most is Dreamweaver who choose to do band thing instead sitting or standing or... you know what I mean :)

I believe pose player is allowed now. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry to hear that, Jillz, hope you have better luck next time =]

For my immortal dynasty, my 3rd heir has the bot fan trait and was in bot form for her ice sculpture - but are we allowed to do the same for her portrait or we have to be able to see her face?

As long as it's your immortal in question in the portrait, it shouldn't matter if they're dressed as a bot or not. That's how I interpret it, anyways.

I decided to try my hand at an Immortal Dynasty. I choose Midnight Falls as my town but ended up failing in Gen 1 since I didn't get a portrait done in time as a YA. My Sim married Chester Swain and I didn't have Bailey skill up painting in time. I'm sure I'll give it another go once I read some more successful Dynasty stories for more ideas!

I think the key is to bring in a couple of people, rather than try to do it with just a spouse. Unless you picked Agnes ;)

Is there a shortened thread or sticky note somewhere I haven't seen with common strategies for Immortal Dynasty challenges? So far, I've just been reading completed Hall of Fame challenges to see what strategies other people have used. This thread is quite long to read through.

There's a whole thread for Immortal Dynasty tips! It's really helpful. It's kind of long but not nearly as long as this. ;) http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php/topic,12247.0.html is the link.

So, having to restart because of the portraits the wall ate wasn't the end of the world - this time, when I had my founder marry Meadow, she brought along a car worth 21k. Then I found a Miner at the consignment shop, and the first thing he dug up was a giant space rock worth 2k. I almost didn't analyze it but in the end decided to and it was worth 14k.

I made him pose for a photo with it before selling it. :) Of course, the Sim taking the photo had no photo skill but one of them turned out okay. I kept them all anyway :)

So... yeah, not so torn up about having to start over. The Simiverse is telling me it's going to be ok. (Wish real life was that easy)

In my other dynasty game, my mortal gardener died while harvesting a death flower. He had the death flower in his inventory, so he didn't die (he was 95 days). Can I trigger age transition on him or is it a game breaker?

I'm planning on starting a Dynasty in Bridgeport (yikes!) but the starting lot is only 44x34. Is this correct?
